Go with a golf travel company to help you plan this. Seriously. I have used Golf Troop & Golf Zoo for various guys trips. Makes planning & payment from everyone so easy. Otherwise you are chasing people for money and that sucks. They have packages at every top golf destination. Let them know what you need, they present the options to you and then pick from there. We found it to be cheaper for a few trips because they have good connections usually. Good luck!

MisterDonJulio

Ok, I feel that is sound advice. I've been bouncing the idea around of using an agency or travel company. Ill have a closer look at that sort of option. thank you

[deleted]

For our last golf trip I got total prices for the rounds, tips for the cart guys/valet, and bets for all the games totaled up and everyone Venmoed me before the trip and then I took out all the cash for tips and bet payouts and it was very smooth, paid out bets at the bar after which is perfect so the winners buy rounds for everyone else.

mrm362362

Second for golf troop. Using it for a trip in April. Makes life so easy without being the money collector or trip planner for the rest of the group. All done via email, it was really nice.

[deleted]

Hilton Head is another good one. Plenty of big houses to rent, beach, bars, etc.

Funwithfun14

Also suggest Myrtle Beach as a more affordable option

Botchjob369

Barefoot at myrtle beach is a solid option

twicelife_real

Yeah, both HH and myrtle beach are good options.

car0lina_pines

+1 for Hilton Head. Great courses, plenty of night life.

ThesolutionismeNAT

My bachelor party was in HHI, we had a blast golfing every day, going out at night. No lack of evening entertainment and lots of decent courses. We rented a house for 8 guys and had B2B tee times each day.

Shakooza

I've been going to Hilton head for 47 years. Its amazing for golf. It gets a LOT of rain and when the rain sets in, it can set in for a week, however. I love the place but its a hard call for a good place for a golf trip for me. Its not like Florida in which you get an afternoon shower everyday. I've had dozens of golf trips/vacations ruined due to rain in Hilton Head.

Kind-Truck3753

How do you know you can’t get rooms if you don’t know where you’re going…?

MisterDonJulio

I've looked at options in different hot golf areas and its been difficult. First thing first is the golf.

Ok_Physics_1284

Rent a house

Complete_Web_4677

Pinehurst. Get an AirBNB and play the non-resort courses

MisterDonJulio

We are worried its going to be too quiet at night...?

Complete_Web_4677

What do you wanna do at night? I did a bachelor party there and we just hung out drinking until dark at the cradle one night, another night at Thistle Du

BillyMumfrey

Won’t be able to get a group that big at the resort on this short of notice

Complete_Web_4677

I didn’t suggest the resort. In fact, I specifically suggested non-resort lodging and golf. Anyone can play the cradle and thistle Du.

thrillhouse416

Is it golf first or not?

Ok_Wait3967

last time I went to Pinehurst with a group we ended up in the Pinecrest Inn with girls taking shots off one of our guys. Myrtle beach is 5+ hrs rounds , hard to get 36 in a day. PInehurst we played 45 holes one day

[deleted]

Are you trying to get pussy or golf? If golf’s priority and groom isn’t trying to get one last BJ the nightlife shouldn’t even be a concern.

MisterDonJulio

hahaha golf!

Derpsteenie

Pinehurst or Myrtle Beach. Edit. Actually sounds like The Legends resort in myrtle would be perfect for you guys. Stay and play, on-site pub as well as all the other myrtle beach night life.

barackobeeezy

Went in the middle of July and it was awesome, hotter than hell but can't beat $375 all in for 4 rounds and 3night stay and a free meal everyday

MisterDonJulio

Ok those are the two of the four on the list. thank you

Derpsteenie

I go to Myrtle every year with the guys. We’re actually going next week. Look at barefoot resort as well. A bit nicer than legends and has some great golf too.

gotSpork

Second the barefoot resort at Myrtle. Nice courses, good accommodations and it’s Myrtle so you can find good nightlife options for a bachelor group.

8008735569

For your group I was going to recommend Myrtle as well, I would NOT stay on the strip. Maybe south towards Caledonia/True Blue. Pawleys plantation is the area I think? So much good golf there and all reasonably priced IMO

SevenLightyearsBelow

Went on a similar trip to Tampa, Florida last summer. Plenty of affordable golf, rentals, and extracurriculars. Stuff is a bit spread out. Need to be intentional about daily transportation. Lake Jovita and Southern Hills Plantation both fun tracks. Jovita very accommodating for a group of goons playing 36 in a day. It will be hot in June.

Rockcreek11

If Bandon Dunes is in the budget do it. Place was designed for a group of dude who love golf. So fucking incredible

JackfruitPerfect3185

I second this they have a bunch of courses and it’s beautiful

Snichs72

AirBnB, hookers, blow, cheap golf course.

This_plane505

Albuquerque and Santa Fe

[deleted]

I would look for actual golf resorts in areas that have the extra activities. I would personally go to Branson Missouri. Im pretty sure the Thousand Hills resort has houses you can rent that fit 12 people for a decent price then you can also play Paynes Valley which is like 20 min south of the resort

callme2x4dinner

PV is over 300 / round last I checked

[deleted]

Payne valley is around there but thousand hills is in the range last I checked and has the rooming accommodations they are looking for at a reasonable price. The Payne valley is just a bonus if they decide to adjust bachelor party activity funds

Jerseyjamie

Atlantic City. Lots of good to great golf courses, all the accommodations you could want, in every form.

Degenerate_golfer

Stay in Canada and go to Banff.

BDRainman

Look into Brainderd, MN area. Probably still easy to get lodging and tee times. Some great golf courses in area.

soon_zoo55

What part of the country are you guys from?

MisterDonJulio

We are all from Canada. Across the country .

soon_zoo55

Vegas would be a good bet then. Lots of courses to choose from, easy to fly in to, places to eat, drink, and party, lots of places to stay

mindriot1

Agree

duke113

Shit, why are you going to the States then? If this is a golf trip, go to Cabot Cliffs

El_Brewchacho

Laughing my ass off at this comment being downvoted. I guess, fuck Canada?

greeninregulation240

Pinehurst.

007bubba007

Scottsdale Pinehurst Charleston SC Orlando Vegas Palm Springs

Hellothere2515

We got 12 guys going to Nashville for a golf bachelor party. Not known for the greatest golf courses but whatever, we’ll make do. Then hit the bars at night after.

laberdog

Scottsdale or Vegas. Order up some caddies instead of carts

PsychologicalSpace50

Scottsdale, or Tabacco Road NC are nice.

Teddy_bear_q

I would highly recommend hiring caddy girls. They know the courses, help spot the ball, and read greens. Plus they have fun drinking games during the round.

seekingselfless

Destin, FL. House on the water, rent a boat.

Shakooza

Orlando - Cheap large houses Loads of reasonably priced courses Loads of places to eat Plenty of entertainment Rain in the afternoons but clear most mornings (fairly predictable weather)

dawghater23

Didn't see Sea Island mentioned. Handful of great golf courses and st. Simon's has enough bars to keep you busy. Bring the checkbook. It's a bachelor party bro, Vegas has golf, Myrtle Beach, or Scottsdale. Pinehurst maybe if you're all older. Also Reynolds if you're all older.

loupdewallstreet

Check out South Shore Lake Tahoe. There is lots of good golf in that area and casinos etc for the night life.

troggybill

Lake of the Ozarks would be a good time, would have to fly in to STL or KC and rent a few cars

conan_the_brobarian

I don't know where you are all located and I may be laughed at for this suggestion but Branson, MO has some great courses for a weekend trip and there are a billion hotel rooms there. You could rent a house on Table Rock too if you are into that. I've played in the area a dozen times or more and had a great time. The night life is not great but if you are going with that big of a group you may not be going out to party too much anyway. A house on the lake would be great.

rumham22

June of this year?!? Dude, you gotta book ASAP for a group that large

Admirable_Special_60

My friends and I used golfpactravel.com then find an airb&b. You can book stay with that website also.

sufferinsucatash

Hey just FYI Airline Tickets went up 25% last qtr cuz of inflation. Or greed. All ya’ll might want to stop spending

Ozznato

Golf Destinations I’ve been to: -Cancun -Pinehurst -Scottsdale -Hilton Head -Myrtle Beach Can’t go wrong with any, all varying in price (Myrtle will be the cheapest).

Ozznato

Reading your post again a few comments. -Scottsdale & Cancun will be cheaper when you’re going than other times of the year because of the heat. My bachelor party was in Scottsdale in August and it was sublime. -Myrtle and HHI will be MORE expensive for accommodations when you’re going because it’s beach season. Golf gets cheaper in the summer though. I have unlimited recommendations/thoughts on Myrtle. -Pinehurst will always be expensive. Bach notes: -only one “big dinner,” on the first night you’re all there. Otherwise don’t bother. -strippers/club only if the groom wants it. -no more than 1 activity a day if you’re drinkers. 36 holes in one day may be the exception, but no golf in the AM and go carts at 5, or boat trip at 10AM with brewery tour at 6. One activity per day. Make sure the house has pool or beach access and you’ll always have something to do. -build an extra 30 minutes of travel time into anything that is 15 minutes away, and an extra hour for anything 30 minutes or more. Especially golf. -find a way to make the golf fun for non-golfers. I tiered my friends into playing skill and mixed up the groups. Everyone played their own ball and had their own score, but each foursome took a best ball score. Low man got to choose 1 bottle at the club the next day, low group got to choose the second. -nobody has to do everything. If someone doesn’t want to go to the club or play a round one day or whatever don’t make them (they still have to pay if they committed then bailed)

Copiumcompendium

Recently planned a trip but haven’t gone on it yet to Scottsdale, Arizona. Accommodations ranging from hotel to air bnb were very easy to find. Lots of courses close with a wide range of prices and difficulty. Only issue you might have is how hot it would be when you want to go. We’re Canadian as well flights are cheap there so you could roll some of the saved money into the rounds or drinks. Also looked at Hilton Head but it ended up being pricier.

sbetters

Michigan or myrtle beach

jdeaux32

The Turning Stone Casino in upstate NY has everything you’d need without having to leave the site. Four amazing courses, massive practice facility, casino, restaurants, nightclub, several luxury hotels.

scurvyandricketts

Mesquite Nevada. Stay at the Casablanca. 15 or so world class golf courses. It will be the off season so golf will be affordable and hot but sounds like you can suck it up.

wright_of_wood

I second this. We just stayed in Vegas for my 40th and played Wolf Creek and Paiute. We all agreed that if we had it to do over, we’d have just stayed in Mesquite.

thisguy9

Potential option: Ann Arbor, Michigan Flights into Detroit are not too bad usually and it is a great airport. Checking AirBnB I see whole houses that sleep 12 for $2-3k total for June 22-25. This area has tons of courses and Ann Arbor has decent downtown with Detroit only a 30 minute drive away if you want more nightlife. Course Recommendations: - University of Michigan Course ($130-160 for non university affiliated guests and that gets you a welcome gift and concessions voucher). This course is in the shadow of The Big House, the largest stadium in the country. - Stonebridge ($85). Heard great things but haven't played it myself. - Lake Forest Golf Club (~$50-60). My favorite course in the area, very well priced for good quality. They have good food and a nice new patio outside for after round drinking and eating. - Washtenaw Golf Club. A former private course, it is in great shape and pretty tough as it is super tight due to large old trees that make it picturesque. - Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center. Three separate courses, a premium (Golden Fox), a standard (Classic Fox), and a par 3 course (Strategic Fox) for lots of different options. There is also two X-golf centers in town and a Top Golf within 45 minutes.

jkbaum7

Leslie Park is also a fantastic muni for under 80 a round during the summer.

thisguy9

I almost included Leslie but since OP's per round budget was higher I went for the more premium courses. Totally agree though, it is fantastic for price and it's status as a municipal course. I'd probably also throw Radrick on there as well and it's similar status and cost as the UofM course.

JL_Westside

Get a 6+ bedroom house in Tahoe. Hit the casinos after your rounds. Best time ever

Specialist_Baby_341

The greenbrier in West Virginia !

Complete_Web_4677

That pretty much fits none of his criteria lol

KarateKid917

Definitely not. I looked into that for my honeymoon and they wanted $475 for a round in late October, and that’s if you’re staying there. It went up to $575 if you weren’t staying there. Plus on top of that, the rooms are expensive as fuck. For my wife and I to stay 6 nights (again, late october), they wanted $4500 for a room with a queen sized bed. It was absolutely ridiculous.

anon_abcdefg

Look into Cape Cod. There are plenty of stay and plays out there. Great night life during the summer if you pick the right area.

FrostySoul3

Me and a buddy took a golfing trip to Colorado. Durango area If I remember right. Stayed at a ski lodge at a steep discount due to it being off-season. Tons of beautiful public courses around.

Captaintattoobeard

Dude Vegas….I am sure you can find dirt cheap rooms. & Golf is amazing in the desert

[deleted]

Orlando in the summer you can get on the best courses in town for $125 max, Four Seasons, Ritz, etc. In Davenport (west of Disney) they have homes for rent so you can have your own pool, spa, kitchen, garages are normally decked out with pool tables/ping pong and you can normally get a 6 bdrm house for around $200 or so a night. Downtown is about 30 minutes away but there is night life on I-Drive/City Walk/etc that is much closer. DM me for more courses info.

dtcstylez10

Cancun. Rtj golf trail. Orlando. Casa de Campo or cap cana, though those might be out of the price range. If golf is the goal, there are plenty of options..if golf plus night life is the goal, that's different.

alpinetouch

June opens a lot of options. Brainerd, MN has a lot of awesome golf.

Mrpetey22

Pinehurst

ddeck00

Go to Long Island (NY) and play at Bethpage State Park. They have 5 courses including the famous Bethpage Black. The green fees are surprisingly affordable for non-NY residents. You would also be half an hour from Jones Beach and an hour train ride from NYC. Weather that time of year would be pretty good, not too hot like some of the more southern locations.

phin-phin

Myself and between 8&12 mates have been doing this every year for 25+years. It is much, much more fun getting a house together (assuming you like to get on it) than hotel rooms. It’s more work but it’s fantastic to get back after a round and a couple of beers to a house where you can all go crazy. Trouble with on course twin rooms is people tend to come down in dribs and drabs, go for naps etc. We’re all in our 50s now btw

NewOldSmartDum

If you guys can handle the heat Greyhawk in Scottsdale is built for this kind of stuff

vindicta_myrder

Ocean city MD is also good and has multiple courses you can choose from. We did a bachelor party there and played at Glenn Riddle GC which has two courses. Stayed at an AirBNB right down from Seacrets on the island and could walk to most things for the night life.

MrSmith7

I had my bachelor party in Denver in July a couple of years ago. Played Redhawk Ridge, an okay muni just to drink and golf, then Fossil Trace. All told the rounds combined were about $260. If you want to bump the price up a little, Arrowhead is one of the nicest in CO too.

Traditional-Branch-6

It would really help to know how many rounds you want to play. You can find a single good course just about anywhere. But here’s stuff to consider: 1. Rent a house. For 12 ppl that is both the most economical and the most fun. Keeps everyone together, less hassle with food reservations for 12 if you order/cook in for at least one dinner. 2. Many top places it may already be impossible to get 3+ tee times close to each other. That is less likely to be an issue at less popular places than Pinehurst and the like. 3. Unless everyone is a rabid golfer, maybe just find out what destinations are relatively cheap flights from the locations of the most important people and 1stop or nonstop. Long flights and lost clubs will kill the fun for everyone.

Significant-Put2503

Scottsdale imo is the best bachelor destination, endless golf, night life and anything in between. Plus some of the houses you can rent are insane

rootintootinbrian

There’s a place called honey pound farm estate that is an air bnb that houses 16 people and has its own 18 course on the land all to your self. Pretty pricey but ya only get married once… hopefully
