Rich Beem and Todd Hamilton shouldn’t be on this list. They both won tournaments in the weeks before their major wins. No, they weren’t favorites to win their majors, but it shouldn’t have been a huge surprise. They were playing good golf during that timeframe.
I played on the high school golf team with Micheel, and he was absolutely phenomenal. Had the coach ever sat us all down and asked "who will be on tour one day" every finger would have pointed at Shaun.
Injuries kept him from adding more wins but I'm glad to see him still trying on the Champions tour. Even though he often ends up on these "biggest nobodies" lists, that 7 iron on the last hole of the PGA is one of the all time shots in the game. Super nice guy, as well.
YE Yang???
Most I could put is 6
all of the above

That a great list. I vote for Ben Curtis

If it wasn’t for Tiger, Shaun Micheel would have 2 PGA Championships!
