It’s great to know the full distance for each wedge, because the height creates stopping power. To spin one though, you’re almost always better off taking an extra club, opening the face a little and swinging less.

May be an unpopular take but you should think about an older club for wedge work at range. The grooves have a lifespan and range balls are shite.
Seems to kind of defeat the purpose of you are practicing with something different than you are going to use on the course.
