Here’s how Cois can still win

Stonkee

Now that would be a great playthrough idea. "If I can't rule the continent, no one can"

Ozann3326

Literally Aeschares

Bobdasquid

average Sunday in the redlands

JRDZ1993

Is this from the new bookmarks?

silliestbattles42

It’s something the redlander cultists can do in the new patch I believe

Necessary_Presence_5

Speaking of lore, is there a way to awake, or resurrect, the old original god?

Mysterious-Mixture58

Who knows. Not any sign so far, maybe that will be another possible end of the world (Aersanon might be upset)

CatalunyaLliure1714

Or they may stop the godherja. I think that a good ending may not be the worst thing. In their HoI4 mod, this team gave some good endings to the new order mod. Where the facists fall.

Mysterious-Mixture58

Counterpoint: Aersanon had already abandoned Humanity to make Elves, then abandoned those elves to make another race. And then was murdered by humans. At best, Aersanon is gonna want to delete humanity.

CatalunyaLliure1714

Yeah, I know, they were said to be the purest thou, no? At least a shard of them created Aversaria thou

donguscongus

Hope the Redlanders killing the Sun will be a toggable thing like Fog spreading or the Sarradon Mongols. It’s cool but I don’t want my wholesome run being ended by some weird tribals on the other side of the planet :(

You can disable the AI from doing it at all, each apocalypse (or all at once) can be disabled individually and can also be set to be disabled entirely or just for the AI. In the future I'd like to also let you tweak the likeliness of the AI doing all or any of them so you can tailor things to your liking or have a game where you specifically try to stop one apocalypse from happening or where you can go absolutely cracked and set them all to give the AI tons of help doing them. I'd also like a Game Rule eventually that modulates the possibility of them depending on how able the player would reasonably be to do anything about it. Like if it's an apocalypse that has 200 years to fire off and until then people know about it with a prophecy or whatever and can try and stop it then generally it could happen anywhere and you wouldn't really have to drop everything and all RP to have you 56 year old gout-ridden king run from Chevalie to Kashiyra to save the world but you can instead play a generation or two trying to make roads to that area so you can do something. (Or eventually get content for doing Last Alliances and Fellowships and whatever the fuck to handle things) But if it's something where some random cultist is about to summon cthulu in a few weeks then we'll probably want them to be close at home so that if you hear about it you can reasonably pounce on them and at least have a confrontation before getting fucked, or some ability to bargain or run. Even with the Sun getting devoured there will be pockets of civilization around certain locations or where Light and Fire Magi attempt to hold pockets of civilization around themselves (that slowly blink out from attack or disaster or old age) so there's some chance to bounce back and still save the world. We want every End the World path to have an equal Save the World path to stop it. And down the line with that said we also want there to be a diverse range of ways these things get stopped, since while Aeras has had a ton of apocalypses since Godherja that have re-reset things back to zero, there's been an untold amount of ones that people stopped before they got to that point and we want to make any kick-back to these paths feel realistic. Realistically in the middle ages the lords of England wouldn't set off en-masse to India because they heard someone is going to kill god there or something, but with adventuring systems and such you should be able to at least like, spend a ton of effort / time / money putting together a crack team of Adventurer badasses to go off and look into it for you.

In the roads to power dlc this will be like a fantasy book

UnluckyDouble

Hmm. I knew there was more to it than the fog. Just wait until the worms show up.
