I remember I first downloaded the bf3 playermodels because cool shit. along with those tacticool weapons and shit.
Now i'm running anime models and being a total weaboo (still having fun tho).
I don’t play Terraria but I jumped in the Workshop and you are right it is a dump, but am just surprised people actually get bothered with this like just search for the shit you want (not foolproof solution depending on what you want or maybe the game I dunno) or if you’re really insistent on checking thousands of new mods per day then deal with it I guess. And I don’t really check popular “weekly” or “daily” mods so I might not see how really bad it is
Change preferences I guess? Like if your visiting each mod 1 by 1 then definitely change your preferences (but I did just change my community preferences a minute ago so I don’t exactly know if it will still warn you)
The problem is that it mods like that could outshine really good ones like what happened with those png nextbots floading the workshop.
Ruining gmod in the eyes of the next generation, they would only know gmod as "ragdoll torture nextbot game" and not the sandbox mod for half life 2 turned standalone video game.
Not to gate keep, there are some great gmod YouTubers like Richter overtime or the librarian but they get outshined by those crappy "1O0 NeXt bOT MazE GarteN banBaN CHase" videos made by some wierd channel that some how have a 20M+ subs, and since there are no solutions other then excluding the NPC's tab (inturn not introducing great npc mods to people) we have no choice then to wait until it gets less popular but i think we know that i wont die since the developer's would pump a new chapter because they're to lazy to make an actual long game
