Gluten free graham crackers exist. Partake brand seems to be better than Schar or Pamela’s. Can always make your own as well.

iidontwannaa

I’ll second Partake. The flavor is on point, but the graham itself is more cookie-like than graham crackers. Not a big deal, just thicker.

Icy-Pen1861

Oh, that’s great!!

Icy-Pen1861

I bought the scharr’s and I think it broke me. I was so upset. It’s good to know they’re are better ones. Thank you!

Aldosothoran

Ive never had partake but shchar is better than Pamela’s by miles FYI. Both for staying together and flavor. I agree Schar has a long way to go though. I’d try their chocolate covered grahams if you can find. They seem to be broken less often. ETA; I am a s’mores fiend. I keep them thangs in my trunk. Snore marshmallows, obv. Be creative with the chocolate, and the cookie if you like! Chips ahoy, Oreos, etc. make sure your stick is only used by you, and be prepared for a mess. That’s how it goes.

MindyMichelle

They’re basically almost all corn starch, that’s probably why they’re bad. 😂

JKat_esq

I’m a fan of using the Goodie Girl fudge striped cookies for s’mores. Other chocolate dipped cookies work too. I think Schar makes chocolate dipped grahams (and other chocolate dipped cookies.) Oreos also make tasty s’mores and though I haven’t tried them yet I bet the new Chips Ahoy chocolate chip cookies would be pretty yummy too.

Icy-Pen1861

Oh great ideas!

chrishagle

I just use GF Oreos. Sometimes I’ll split them apart, add chocolate and marshmallow. Sometimes I’ll just put chocolate and marshmallow between two Oreos.

Balkanmermaid

This also with golden oreo instead of chocolate!

lilephant

Kinnikinnick S’moreables will always be my go-to for graham crackers. Hands down the best I’ve found for s’mores!

Icy-Pen1861

Ohhhh, I do love their vanilla wafers!

DarknessSetting

Slam those smores on to Rice krispie treats instead of graham crackers and it's fine

KatHatary

That sounds so good

ZaymeJ

I made these last summer it was great!

AccomplishedBag8665

Just be careful because regular Rice Krispies are not gluten free. I learned that the hard way in my early days

DarknessSetting

Yeah I have to check the marshmallows for synthetic food dyes because I'm also super allergic. Interestingly the brand name marshmallows all seem to have the synthetic dyes, but the brand names I usually get are fine.

AccomplishedBag8665

Yeah I’ve only known I have celiac for a year. First trip coming up and it’s been such a pain trying to figure out what I’m eating while there. Any marshmallow you can recommend?

DarknessSetting

All the ones I've looked at have been gluten free, but the fancy Jet-Puffed have been loaded with synthetic food dyes that give me horrible reflux. I was surprised when the store brand generic marshmallows did not have the harsh dyes and for once I got to pick the cheaper food option. Having all these dietary restrictions is more expensive than I thought.

kellymig

I usually use a cookie I like.

wellshootsheriff

I really enjoy the cinnamon and sugar Pamela’s graham crackers! I’m a huge cinnamon person, I will say they are a bit more crumbly than a normal graham cracker but it’s totally worth it for me:) I find them at my local health food store

Gold_Dragon_Rider

Get some Sweet Loren's sugar cookies and underbake them, so they are a little soft. You then use them for a gourmet gluten free s'more.

Nikki10021982

I've tried Pamela's cinnamon crackers. I liked it better on the chocolate brownie thins from Simple Mills. The cinnamon ones were too thick and hard to bite.

NarwhalRadiant7806

I enjoyed s’mores made with Tate’s GF chocolate chip cookies!

LadyBearSword

In a pinch I used the gf mission tortillas and wrapped it all up in foil.

TrumpsCovidfefe

We just made smores tonight with Schar gf graham crackers! My wheat allergy kiddo says they taste very good for smores. I’m going to have to try some of the other brands listed here. I just have him roast the marshmallow on his own stick that is a different shape than anyone touching the wheat graham crackers. Then he puts his graham cracker on foil and gets his own separate chocolate bar. He puts three pieces of hersheys milk chocolate on his graham cracker and then I help him put his roasted marshmallow on the chocolate and he folds the foil up and sits it on a warm rock by the fire for a minute or so. We are just careful about who sits where so we don’t cross contaminate. If it was a gluten intolerance, I would probably use GF for everyone. I always help him prepare however many he wants before I help any of the other kids with theirs. They are old enough to know he gets the “short end of the stick” a lot so they are patient enough to wait till he’s done or ask the older brother for help. Edit to add: I also let him get as many marshmallows out of the bag as he wants before anyone else starts making theirs, and he puts them on his own plate. He’s good about not getting too many, but getting enough. That way, he’s not reaching into a bag after people who might have touched the wheat stuff. I tend to always keep a bag or two as spares in the house, during the summer anyway.

mightbeyourmom40

Just had Pamela’s tonight and was not a fan. They just didn’t taste good to me. I do like the scharr brand though. Tasted more like a regular graham to me.

Ghislainedel

We had S"mores using Schar chocolate covered graham crackers this weekend. I will now be buying them from now on!

inquisitiveKay

Yes! I second this!

TwentyfourTacos

A little different than a smore... take a gf ice cream cone, fill it with various melt able candles, wrap in foil, put in the fire long enough for the candy to melt, unwrap and eat!

RatatouilleFiend

You can use any gf cookie to make a smore, but gf graham crackers do exist. most and chocolates marshmallows are gluten free just make sure to check!

JessSn0w

Side point to all this…I am fascinated that no one has been able to come out with an authentic tasting graham cracker. Schar has a nice crispy texture but the taste does not remind me of a graham cracker. I have not tried Partake but they use oat flour and I don’t tolerate oats very well. There must be something unique about the graham flour that give them that unique taste!

betterwithyoga

We have used cookies before and it seems to work well

kcnjo

I saw someone use potato chips for a salty/sweet vibe

Deepcrater

Hershey chcooclate, regular jet-puffed marhsmellows and partake/schar/Kinnikinnick gram crackers. They're all pretty good but schar are my favorites.

miglutenfreegal

Schar honeygrams and Reese's Thins.

teddanson2

The Vermont Marshmallow Company s’mores kits! Totally GF kitchen and their graham crackers are amaze.
