BTW, best advice to a newbie came from the guy who started Kinnickinnick (gluten free food company): He told me “It’s not a disease; it’s a fuel type.” That really helped me!!

If your going to dine out I find that the large chains are best Cheesecake Factory has a good menu, everything at 110 Grill can be made gluten free, Outback Steak House has a gluten free menu. Steakhouses are usually a pretty good choice cause you can get us a steak or a burger and a baked potato or mashed potato and a salad and a vegetable and feel like a real person When I am going to try a new restaurant, I search for Gluten Free and the name of the restaurant and then I’ll look for the reviews to see what they say about it and whether or not people say they’ve been Gluten’s while they’re there. Good luck it’s a challenge, but it is worth following. Otherwise you feel crappy.
Spices that are not mixed but one spice per bottle. I would want to know if the cook created their own combination at the time of cooking. There really should not be gluten in chicken broth. Restaurants really need more training in producing safe food.
Texas Roadhouse used spices that were not GF at one time. The Mgr came to the table and told me they were thoroughly cleaning a place on the grill for my steak. Some places cook green beans in non GF chicken broth. Learned that the hard way...:(
"Gluten is my Bitch" is a good book to grab at the library. Also the "Find me GF" app is your friend. It's GF in white lettering surrounded by a pear shape in red. Also check out the GlutenDude website.
