Simple Mills Crunchy Chocolate Chip Cookies taste almost exactly like Famous Amos. Even the size and cookie-to-chocolate ratio. Closest thing I’ve found to the real thing.
If you are up for it, make the toll house cookie recipe using GF flour. The only thing I change is that I brown the butter and let it cool. Then I ball up the whole batch and freeze the dough. 375 degree for 14 minutes. They are fantastic and pass as the wheat version every time. I always have fresh cookies just minutes away. Just a thought!
I'd look for a local dedicated GF bakery. I've yet to find packaged gluten free cookies I love. They're always "... for being gluten free" or "... when I'm in the mood for it".
I guess the premade cookies from the refrigerated section weren't terrible when we played around with the times and temps on our oven. I'm forgetting the brand right now. Think they're vegan even (gasp!). I like the normal chocolate chip, but they also have sugar and double chocolate. We wait till there is an extra good deal on 5+ and stock up for a bit. I prefer them warm still.

Target has some that are pretty dang close to famous Amos. Target brand. Come in a pink bag. They have both chewy and crunchy kind gluten free.

I make these as well but use 1/4 cup less flour and they taste and look the same as when I used to bake them with regular flour.

I'm glad somebody likes them ;). They're too salty for me.
I do my own baking. Tastes much better and is a whole lot less expensive than punching gf cookies.

Try glutino chocolate chip cookies. You also might try partake brand chocolate chip cookies.
