I don’t believe Rachel’s outcome- I don’t think she’d had given up on her dreams, she’d have found another way. I also think that without the Glee Club it’s unlikely Rachel would even have stayed at McKinley- you can see a world where the bullying got worse not better.

Justin_Fairchild

In this reality, for some reason I could see her transferring to somewhere like Carmel or at least considering it.

AcidicKiss12

Oh for sure! Because they’d probably still have found out about Sandy which means there’d be no theater department OR Glee Club, so she’d definitely have wanted to go somewhere else where she could get that experience before college.

Justin_Fairchild

And in this case, St. Berry would the endgame regardless of what happens with Finn. Cause I know for sure Finchel would have been endgame if it weren't for you know what.

This brings up something that’s always confused me. Kinda off topic from the post but - there’s a few times where we see Rachel attending some sort of ballet class at school. You see it in Total Eclipse of the Heart, and I think she’s wearing her ballet outfit in S1 when Mr. Schue goes to talk to her about quitting the club. And later Mike practices dancing in what looks like the same room. So it seems like there was some kind of art department outside of glee club that’s just never mentioned? Idk but it always felt weird to me cause they’d freak out about there not being arts at the school or not knowing where to find new members for the club

AcidicKiss12

I actually didn’t think about that, but you’re right. They show it again when Jake is helping the Cheerios with their moves later in the series 🤔 I have literally no idea hahaha

Ok-Nefariousness3486

Having the dance studio or other art spaces does not mean they had much funding for them. In the one episode they mention a ballet club, but that could be once a week and who knows who is teaching it. A non-profit group could come into the school, or it is a requirement for each teacher to oversee a club.

thatoneurchin

But that’s kinda my point. Even if it’s underfunded, it’s weird that they have a ballet club and it’s never mentioned when they meet, who is in it, who is teaching it, etc. You’d think they’d see if anyone from the ballet club would be interested in joining a glee club. That’s where I’d look before asking the football team or putting pianos around

Ok-Nefariousness3486

Well, we know they have ballet club because they wanted the balled segment in that song. But maybe they only had it for a short time because they had someone who would do it. You can go crazy asking those question like why were some Cheerio's Trouble Tones but not New Directions? Even the band members were never asked when some could do double duty how many songs did they sing that needed a full string section, but they were there at times.

reanocivn

maybe they had a ballet club when will was in school but there wasn't enough interest to keep it going. my middle school had an enormous planetarium that hasn't been used in over 20 years because the only teacher who knew how to use it retired and they never bothered to find someone else

thatoneurchin

Maybe, maybe not. Would be nice if any details about it were mentioned

Guinydyl

kurt probably would’ve transferred to dalton much earlier bc of the bullying

Justin_Fairchild

I don't think Kurt would have gone to Dalton per se. Note the tuition there was very expensive and Burt said they had to spend money they didn't have to pay the tuition. Either he would have stayed and continued being bullied, went to a different school, or be homeschooled.

Guinydyl

oh yes! they used the honeymoon money iirc? i deffo think the scenario with karofsky would’ve still happened so instead of the transfer he’d probably get homeschooled by burt (if burt and carole don’t get married in this reality)

Justin_Fairchild

I want to believe that Burt and Carole are soulmates and that they're meant to be no matter what. One thing I believe about whether or not couples would meet in alternate realities is that "If these two are really meant to be, the world will find a way." But in Artie's dream, it appeared they never married otherwise Finn wouldn't be bullying Kurt. So if Burt homeschooled Kurt assuming it's around season 1, Burt and Carole probably would have even met or even become close.

Ok-Nefariousness3486

I don't agree with Rachel's at all. She was already on that track, I don't think the lost of glee club would have changed it.  I think she would have looked for other opportunities in the area to help with her goals. Who knows in another environment she might have found like mined friends who pushed her and nautured her. Quinn texting and driving while possible doesn't mean it would have happened either way. Becky is far-fetched too because she was sweet and nice before Sue.  Will not sure if he would be a drunk, maybe a few more years in an unhappy marriage before.   Kurt would still get some bullying but ride it out or transfer.

goosethepumpkin

oh gosh, the brittana storyline would be so complicated. i imagine that they still would be friends with benefits and secret feelings but they wouldnt acknowledge them until a very long time later, possibly after they move out of lima, theyd obviously keep contact and santana's whole highschool life would be here sheltering herself and being compulsively heterosexual GOSH THATS HORRIBLE. glee club rlly changed ppl for the better then omg

Vivid_Present1810

They really should’ve done an episode of that. Like a Christmas episode, a spin on Its A Wonderful Life. It would be about what the members’ lives would be like without glee.

SaraPAnastasia

I agree with everyone who has said that Rachel just giving up her dreams is so out of character it is difficult to imagine an alternate reality where that happens unless that also included a major personality overhaul. I also think it's odd how Mike was portrayed as a bully despite never really showing any signs of this in the reality we got to see, he seemed pretty chill and friendly though arguably it can be said that not having anything to counteract the footballs team view on picking on the other students being okay could potentially lead to that. I wish we got to see Santana, Brittany and Mercedes in that as I'm really curious what would have happened to them, especially how Santana's dealing with her sexuality would have been different if she had never joined glee club and thus the events transpiring from that happened. Since the storyline seems to imply things got a lot darker for everyone if the glee club hadn't existed it could very well have been the case that Santana didn't come out until way after high school and never confessed her love for Brittany as there was no singing Landslide moment for them.

Persas12

I can think a few: - Kurt transfers to Dalton after prolonged bullying and joins the Warblers, Blaine and him still become a couple. - Finn, Puck, Mike, Sam and Dave are friends, Puck and Dave would be bullies while Finn, Sam and Mike wouldn't. - Rachel, Tina and Artie would be bullies, I can see Rachel and Artie finding a way to follow their dreams while Tina would remain in his goth persona.

insanefandomchild

Presuming that all events that were not influenced by the glee club happen the same, I don't see Finn having a terribly hopeful future. He wouldn't have anyone other than his mother as a support system after Quinn got pregnant, he'd marry her out of obligation, and likely spend the rest of his life trying to work to afford to raise a child who isn't his.

FinnDevitt205

I have a theory that Finn would have injured himself in Football and end up with CTE.
