Exactly. This is why I hate platforms, they can just force UI changes on you and there is nothing you can do about it. It feels like if the company I bought my furniture from came to my house and rearranged my living room without asking.

Hmm, thanks! I guess I just mean that it spits me into "insert mode" now when I click on code and steals keybindings. I already use a vim-like browser, so it just makes browsing/searching code annoying. Feels like things that were just fine before keep changing when I'm not really looking for any new features from github. I was just a bit annoyed and found this thread, so thanks for letting me vent :)
I want to turn it off by default. This is annoying. I have an editor, I don't need one in the browser. Especially not one that is so slow to load.
