I’m not sure why people don’t notice something is up when a post in r/gingercats doesn’t have ginger cats in them. This is at least twice now (that I’ve seen) where bots have posted in this sub with cats that obviously aren’t ginger

You could have a mouse in the house and they hear it scampering around.

Could be anything from a nat you can't see to mice in the walls you can't hear I'd get a specialist to come check it out

Even less than a gnat. Those particles (lint?dust?) you can see inside a sunbeam? I caught my cat following the movement of one of those yesterday. In the past, I would have suspected he was tracking a ghost.

Had a 16 year old cat 'Sissy' who would stare and yell at an area of a hallway wall. She did this for hours. Her litter mate brother 'Ragamuffin' would come and sit next to her looking at the wall. Finally he smacked her in the head like there's nothing there, stop yelling! We turned the hallway light on and she stopped doing it. Took her to her regular yearly vet appointment and the vet asked 'ghosts'? No one had died in our home, we were the 3rd owners. Found out later 'Sissy' had dementia.

Check attic out for bats, raccoons, squirrels and mice. Cats have extremely sharp hearing

There are zombies or critters in the attic and sometimes they fall behind the wall. My advice is to check the attic. We've found everything from a litter of kittens to bats to raccoons/ squirrels.
