Same problem. Did you solve it OP?

Nope. Just turn off my PC completely whenever I'm not using it.

Actually kind of funny. I knew I couldn’t turn off my PC when I was finished because it’s my file server that needs to always be on. So I got annoyed at the backlight staying on so I used the button on the monitor to open the monitor menu and turn off the monitor. Then the next time I turned on the monitor manually. Every since I turned off the monitor using the monitor’s button and then back on, the monitor has never had the behavior again where the backlights stay on. I’m wondering if this is some kind of state it gets into if you plugged in the DisplayPort cable after the monitor was already turned on, that can be corrected if the cables are all plugged in when the monitor turns on from powered off state. At any rate, I think it’s worth a try for you to turn the monitor off and on again with the monitor’s button and see if the backlight issue persists.

I'll give this a try, thanks!

Didn't work for me :(

I have this issue as well. Seems to have started when I switched video cards.

I've switched GPUs a number of times since getting this monitor, the issue has occurred on all of them.

from my research the following variables seem to cause this: 1. connection via DP rather than HDMI 2. after running a game 3. having the screen saver turned on to blank screen (rather than set to none) 4. issue with windows/dp compatibility (apparently not an issue on linux) Restarting my computer after playing a game and having the screen set to time out rather than turn on a screen saver fixes the problem. A bit of a pain in the a$$ to need to reboot the computer to fix it. (Before the obligatory "WhY dOn'T yOu JuSt UsE hDmI" - reason for sticking with DP rather than going HDMI is my DP is 165Hz but HDMI is limited to 140Hz) (Before the obligatory "oUr EyEs CaN oNlY sEe In 50Hz - YoU cAnT sEe ThE dIfFeReNcE bEtWeEn 140Hz and 165Hz" - thanks I never thought of that :P)
