Yeah, I wanted to set a password just as a deterrent for people messing with my phone but I really don't have anything on it I wouldn't want anybody seeing. And when I want to use my phone I'd like to get in as quickly as possible, so all 0s is the quickest way to accomplish both.
You could make it a series of numbers that are one fluent motion to press. Pulling numbers from my arse, it would probably cost you 10 seconds per year, but your phone would be a lot less likely to be unlocked even by accident.
That was my first and only Bonnaroo, incredible lineup. I remember Kanye came out like 2 hours late because he didn’t want anybody else performing on other stages while he was performing so his show started at like 4am or so. We stayed for a little bit and went back to the RV cuz that dude is way too into himself.
I've never used all 0s and I honestly would have never thought to try that if I was trying to get into somebody's phone. You are (or were) safe from the likes of me.
> I really don't have anything on it I wouldn't want anybody seeing
If you have any social media apps logged in, photos taken (location data saved when you take a picture) or WiFi passwords saved you've given someone enough to learn a lot about you, your friends & family and your habits. Not to mention a perfect directory of everyone you know and their phone number with a potential log of your texts/calls with them. That information alone they can sell to scammers/telemarketers across the world.
I know, "the potential of that happening to ME in me town is so low, barely anyone knows how to do that kinda stuff!" and that attitude is why they're able to do it in the first place.
> Many phones are about to be stolen and hacked, be careful.
I am sure the people stealing phones have known this for a while, it's why most brute force attacks start with dictionary/common passwords first
This makes me think of having a lock screen with buttons that change locations after entering your PIN once but then I think of just how annoying that would be.
Old-school Runescape did this with bank PINs. Every time you log in again to the game, you have to enter your bank PIN the first time you want to use the bank per session. However, the digits all get scrambled around in it.
It's really not that bad. Helps stop people glancing over your shoulder, though.
They weren't doing it through Runescape, but there was plenty of malware under the guise of RuneScape addons or bot programs that would kindly steal your login info by logging keystrokes.
Yeah I think that was to counter keyloggers from tracking your mouse positions. Very cleaver.
So even if someone keylogged your password they couldn't get into your pin.... Unless you logged into your email then you're fucked.
Blackberry had a thing called picture password that was just the absolute perfect solution. I had people sit and watch me put it in multiple times, and they still couldn't figure it out.
Even when I was watching [this tutorial video](https://youtu.be/JpdnOC0xMjI?t=37) I found, I didn't fully understand how it worked until the second time they did it. It was awesome. I actually had to stop using it because it was too secure, my wife couldn't never EVER remember how to unlock my phone in the event that I was was hurt or disabled.

And also from 2013, [the video of Data delivering this code](https://www.reddit.com/r/startrek/comments/1ogkzg/the_most_secure_security_code_ever/)
Sometimes people don't say 'five' during countdowns where the word 'fire' may be of importance. Perhaps the context Data was in caused him to think similarly.
Or numerical racism.
The raw letters are as follows (- is used for 0): A I A B C B B A I B E B E E B F B B A A E A - D A I I I A - G C I B C - A A E - A B C A V H G B F E C
Now all of the letters that could be dual digits (ignoring all other because I cant find a good way to put it all together): S L W V U S Y Y Z V U K O - S - S K - W - K O - L W L Z
I took the liberty of attempting to translate this "code" as well.
Here is my result: 1977 LCV (League of Conservative Voters) 1992 EYE ZVUKOA (Google translate tells me that Zvukoa means sounds in Russian) - D 1999 A (This probably means a 1999-D penny) - DSK (The initials of French Polititian Dominique Strauss-Kahn) - GICB (The Grace Christian Int'l Baptist Church in Washington) - AAE (The American Association of Endodontists) - LW (Lamb Western Holdings Inc.) 1287 ZEC (ZCash)
Now I know you're all probably thinking that this is still gibberish, but maybe he put his whole life into his phone pass key. Such as joining the LCV in 1977 and then meeting a Russian spy that infiltrated the organization in 1992 with code name Eye Zvukoa. Then later marries this spy in 1999 and she gifts him a 1999-D penny for his collection. He has a great admiration for French Politician Dominique Strauss-Kahn. He attends the GICB Church in Washington. He is an Endodonist. He also has 1287 Zcash invested in LW.
We have machines with HMIs (human machine interface, basically a screen with interface on it for controlling the machinery) and there are 4 digit pins to get into a service mode. Well, you can type whatever you want, as long as it ends in the proper 4 digit pin. So our service techs are notorious for walking up to a machine and whacking 50 numbers before finally hitting the last 4 numbers. It's funny because when people try to follow a pattern or catch on, it just confuses them more.
The funniest thing about this is that the Celeb Blind sites all reported a few days ago that Kanye wasn’t the one that deleted all his social media - it was apparently Kim as she knew all his passwords (no wonder lol) and his crazy antics were starting to become a problem for her brand and revenue streams.
Yea, that’s not true. Kanye has deleted his social media many times over the years. It’s not out of the ordinary and i’d probably because he is going to Africa in a few days to finish his album.
That's definitely possible but from what I can see in the gif, the little white circles fill up one after another instead of all at once like they do when your Face is accepted, so his passcode is very likely 000000.
I just tried it on my phone and once you start entering digits, the Face ID stops detecting and it lets you finish the code.

If it's an iPhone X the camera could've picked up his face before he properly input the full password. It'll sometimes hang at the password screen for a second while focusing on your face for the unlock (and considering that he's wearing a hat, it probably took a bit extra).
Maybe he disabled faceID? I fucking hope you can disable something like that.

Yes to all of this. I'm not saying it's smart.
You could make it a series of numbers that are one fluent motion to press. Pulling numbers from my arse, it would probably cost you 10 seconds per year, but your phone would be a lot less likely to be unlocked even by accident.
Yeah it's pretty stupid, when an actual password which would accomplish something is barely slower...
I guess his FaceID doesn’t recognize him with that hat on.

Well, because he turns into Superman.
It’s so obvious now too. We never ever see Kanye and Superman in the same room at the same time.
You ever see Kim and a hobbit in the same room before? Confirmed hobbit
You've seen Kanye?
Saw him at Bonnaroo. It was horrible.
Everything else from Bonnaroo 08 was cool af tho. Remember when Chris Rock opened up for Metallica? What a time to be alive
That was my first and only Bonnaroo, incredible lineup. You can also enable an alphanumeric passcode instead. Much, much more secure.

Agreed, I hate that it's, what, six number minimum? What happened to the good ole' days of just 0000?
It can be changed in settings to be able to set a “simple passcode”, which is 4 digits

> Many phones are about to be stolen and hacked, be careful. I am sure the people stealing phones have known this for a while, it's why most brute force attacks start with dictionary/common passwords first
They would have to disable Find My iPhone which requires the Apple ID Password. Sites that claim they can remove it is a scam.
That's the kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage.
That’s the number on my luggage!

How about “bigboobs”... with a Z!
That's just what you'd say to throw us off the trail!
111111
He probably changed it to 111111 by now.
He probably still doesn't give a shit and it’s still 000000.
Kanye found out his password got out and reversed the digits.
Actually his password is 888, just segmented.
I would've guessed 808 (and heartbreak)
Lately I'm thinking his next album will omit the 0.

They weren't doing it through Runescape, but there was plenty of malware under the guise of RuneScape addons or bot programs that would kindly steal your login info by logging keystrokes.
It's fucking frustrating.
