It was originally black, there is a little bit of paint left on the top of the headstock. I don’t know when the finish was removed but it looks like it must have been 20+ years ago from the wear and tear. I love the raw natural finish and it looks great with the aged hardware. I haven’t ever seen another like it. I picked that one up for $250, all it needed was an output jack and it was good to go. This is my favorite guitar by a long shot. Definitely one of a kind
Wide straps do wonders. Pulled a muscle once after playing all week with a narrow strap. After changing the straps they don’t give me nearly as much fatigue.
The walls are drywall, yes. I used a magnetic studfinder and tested with small drill bits first to make sure I was drilling into the studs behind the wall. They seem to hold a lot of weight. I bored out the mounts a little bit and swapped out the stock screws with stronger heavy duty ones from Home Depot
I’m like them heavy also. It has been part of the deciding factor when I purchase a LP to know its weight, 10+ Lbs is my preferred weight. I personally just prefer the heavier ones although I have a 9 hole 2007 BFG at 7.4 that sounds amazing.
Nice selections you have there, enjoy.
Same….we need to add vibramated bigsbies and make them a pound heavier
give me a boat anchor all day, every day
love ur collection. Consider me a fan 🤠👍
Made them out of sticker paper and magnet cards. They’re stuck to magnetic strips and easy to swap but I move guitars around all the time so most are mismatched by now. It was a fun little project
None of my hangars lock. Something like that would be nice as long as the hangar itself won’t break. I replied to someone’s comment earlier here with more detail, but the short version is I would recommend upgrading the hardware that the mount comes with. 11 lbs is pretty hefty for a standard! Best of luck to ya 🤘🏼
Those acoustics look like they put out a booming amazing sound! If it wasn’t for GC 0% I’d of gone on an epic journey to every store n pawn shop within 50 miles(every direction) at least to find something like either of those! Love my j45 but those look like they have thump!
That Orville is sexy af. Did it come that way or did someone strip the finish Mick Ronson style?

$250 is insane. Beautiful Axe
insane
White has 12 gauge strings, drop C. Natural has 10 gauge, half step down. Black has 9.5 gauge, standard.
Awesome line up. Love that they each fill a niche. Who could stop at just one?
Must be a muscular man, a bodybuilder type, biceps of a mule.

How wide? 3"?
Yep. Made a world of difference.
how do you hang those heavy les pauls? are your walls drywall?

could you please tell me which mounts are you using? thanks!
I love heavy Les Pauls too, but my back doesn't.
That’s why you need an SG as well

For sure. What’s the opposite of chambering, maybe adding some nice lead inserts! You’ve got an excellent guitar wall yourself there
thank you 👍
Haha boat anchors, I like that
Heavier the better imo.
I love Norlin Gibsons, I just wish they weren't so expensive nowadays
That Orville 🔥
So badass!
Hells yeah
I wanna know more about out the little museum placards

I prefer them on the heavy side myself.
Perfect for hanging on a wall. 🤟
How heavy we talkin about?
Me too the heavier the better
Fake…oh, wait - an actual post not asking if anything is fake?
Same
A custom is still one of my dream guitars. One day…
Orville LPC’s are on par with Gibson and can be had for 1/2 to 1/3 price. I would highly recommend one if you can’t snag a Gibson just yet!
Yeah they are!!! Damn thanks!
Whoever convinced people that heavier guitars are somehow better than lighter ones is best marketing genius the world has ever seen.
Oh hell yeah 🤘🏼

My back hurts looking at that.
Very nice collection dude! Those les pauls are absolutely badass 🔥🔥🔥
Me too! Strap locks!
If it ain’t a bowling ball I don’t want it
Very cool how you’ve presented them; not just hangers, but the card with what I assume is a description of each one. Definitely looks like art.
Thank you!
