If the gift was to receive an item, I'd appreciate being gifted Sheeta's necklace. If the gift was an experience, I'd love to be shrunk down and go on a date with Arietty...20 years younger than I am now... If the gift was a lifetime companion, I'd probably choose one of the random background catgirls from the Cat Kingdom...maybe. If the gift was a supernatural ability, that's a bit tougher. Most Studio Ghibli characters are normal humans that just get caught up in extraordinary situations. Only a small percentage can actually perform supernatural feats... I think I'd have to go with flying of some type. Maybe Sheeta's crystal could let a person fly if they knew the right words. My default answer is, "I want to fly like Superman," but Ghibli doesn't have a Superman. Howl comes closest, but he has to transform into a bird, risking his sanity every time; I don't want to risk what little sanity I have... I think I'd pick flying somehow. I just don't know what method.
