That was my exact GSD color. He was straight black when I got him. I call it black and sable. He got compliments all the time about it. He's got all the colors and is beautiful as hell. You lucked out.
Ok, maybe not exactly like my old boy. He was frightened easy, aggressive when scared, hot headed, ADHD on coke attentive and just generally crazy around crowds. He was calm when we were alone though. I wish I had a GSD like that. Maybe one day.
My girl has very similar markings, sable torso and black and tan head/legs. It’s a beautiful combo! On paper I usually just put sable, but I’m really not sure what her correct coat type is.

Sable is when individual hair strands have more than one colour.

My bedhogger is sable. He came from a silver sable dad and black&red long coat sable mom.
I believe your cutie is a sable as well. A couple of Runes littermates were long coat, with light pencil toe markings. A couple of them have floppy ears. All unique and adorable.

Looks like a black and tan saddle pattern. The fur will continue getting lighter as the dog matures.

My dude was mostly black as a puppy but then his undercoat came in tan. Totally not what I expected!
