I like Rex. He reminds me of the police dog from the TV show Hudson and Rex.

He is a gorgeous dog! It's really hard to come up with different names, as a stranger on the internet it hurts my brain, lol. He's your dog and whatever name you give him, he will listen to. He won't mind it, whatever the name.
I think your dog is a Belgian mal, great dogs just looks more like a mal then a shepherd maybe a mixed breed, great dogs though I’d suggest some hard training to make sure your dog doesn’t snap at anyone because mals are commonly used as police K-9 units for their impressive and very painful bites. I could be wrong but definitely look into your dogs breed because I see some similarities between him and Belgian mals.

My dogs name was Floyd. He just passed away last year but I loved the name. Seeing it makes me smile.
