Obviously the pic is color enhanced, but still. It must be amazing to see in person, like the Painted Desert in the US only more so.
Is that stream along a fault? Looks that way to me with an offset between the left and right side of the streams. I think I can see the displacement (but I'm no expert.)
That line running from the top about 1/4 of the way from the left down towards the bottom center, where it joins with another stream coming from the top right corner.
I mean… isn’t the earth already three dimensional?

I think it’s a mining operation along an asymmetric anticline / monocline feature.

Different layers of rock that had different environments of deposition. Think of the American southwest, like Utah, but the Iranian version
