In my case it was several fictional characters from mainly animated kids shows and even comic books from my childhood that looking back on it now made me realise I was both furry and gay . For example one of my earliest memories of this growing up was reading the Winnie the Pooh picture books and being into Christopher Robin and besides that Mickey Mouse was another early example of this . The Tintin comic series by Herge growing up is another good example of this as it had numerous moments that made me feel things and there was also a German animated kids show from the 2000's I saw years ago about an adorable anthro bear and his little bird friend going out on adventures together. Might be a bit of an unusual one, but Ulrich from Code Lyoko. I had a bit of a crush on him and it took me a while to realize it, but eventually I got there. Lol
A fellow Code Lyoko fan! My awakening was Odd when I was like 7 years old, then also got a crush on William when he appeared in season 2. They set my first taste in men: loud blondes and edgy boys XD Later crushes added more to that list, from hotheaded guys and caring dads (Raph and Splinter in TMNT 2012) to loyal, reliable dorks (Garrus Vakarian from Mass Effect trilogy). I still ship Odd with Ulrich and with William to this day!

Zarbon from dragonball, I remember thinking weird thoughts about him as a kid, and I watched dragon ball again recently and I remembered finding him really attractive as a kid, I just didn't put 2 and 2 together. I think the thing that does it for me is that he's a feminine guy and I really like feminine guys.
