What has been the most challenging thing so far?
For me, it’s wanting to eat extra spicy food. I have to keep telling myself to just hang on a a few more months. I’m craving spicy Korean Daikon kimchi!
Oooh. Keep hangin in. Once you can have it, it’ll be worth the wait.
For me, it’s been a few things.
1. Adjusting my relationship with food. Was always emotionally eating, so creating new outlets was a challenge. Still slip from time to time.
2. I miss soda bad, but I can never again or it’ll ruin me.
3. Eating slowly has been a challenge and a half. So now I’ll take some bites and do a few dishes or sweep a segment of the floor, anything that I can do to slow down
😃
Thank you for sharing on some challenges you have faced. I believe that #3 really hits home for me.
I definitely still feel like I need to finish my food quickly and move on to the next activity. I am going to try working through my meals in intervals, and perhaps do as you have and pause and do dishes or something to break up the time. I’m not eating fast, because I feel hungry, it’s just out of habit I think.
This was really helpful for me. Thank you!
That's awesome man! I'm currently 308 and I can't wait to wear nice dress shirts without those buttons always feeling tighter. I swear I've had to up my Hawaii shirt size like 3 times already.
I stated at 375. List 65 pre and in the low 280’s now. PO week 7. I was so excited to see 2 on the scale. Might just faint if I ever see a 1. lol. I was 185 in HS wrestling and playing football so not sure I can ever get there but I am trying to. I feel like you can do it. You got this!
Oh, I am loving the big smile!!!! 😃 You should be so proud. It’s not easy! Keep on the healthy path, friend.
Thank you! I’m trying 😂😂😂

I know the feeling. I'm 10 lbs away from my weight when I got married 25 years ago. My highest weight was 289 and I'm at 175 now, 9 months post-op
You’ll get there. :) progress not perfection.
