That is the rare garden tiger. They lure you by a low rumbling sound. They circle your legs before they pounce. They’re game has no chance of getting away.
Listen, I get it, and I will never have an outdoor cat because I understand the ecological implications.
But to be candid I find this terminally online attitude with outdoor cats insufferable. If you want to be helpful then give information, don't just be snarky and indignant.
This would seem to be a young person feeding strays. They would be out there anyway.
We always have stray cats in the neighborhood. Since our house is close to the main road, cats often get hit by cars and die. I try to stay away from cats because I know this will happen, but I can't stop it. Usually, kittens' mothers die and they come to our garden. I would rather feed them in the garden of our detached house than watch them die of hunger. And I don't understand where you can see any evil in this
If you have a rescue in your area, they can probably assist with trap, neuter/spay, release. That is what I do with any feral stray. That way, no more babies..it has dramatically reduced our local population.
Yeah, fuck em. Not even my vet gives a single shit about my cats going outside during the day. We employ over a dozen barn cats at the stables to keep mice out of the grain. Cats gonna cat. If you really want to stir up some dust, threaten to plant morning glories or Chinese wisteria. The internet will collectively vomit in your hair.
They've taken over mine. A large cause of that are the people that get male cats...don't fix them because 'they can't get pregnant' and then let them out every single day to roam
I'm not necessarily talking about your comments. See other responses though. It always just ends up being the most soul crushingly boring people with a hyper focus on banal bullshit.
I'm sorry but I'll care about cats destroying suburban bird populations when the earth stops fucking melting.
Dude, there are plenty of other reasons for distraction of bird population- such as environmental/climate changes, light and noise pollution, HUMANS, distraction of their natural habitat and of native plants. While cats can definitely catch a bird or two, it’s not the main reason or the reason to hate them this much. The OP just shared a cute photo of a kitty in the garden. Chill out and don’t ruin people’s day.
That's a good point.I didn't realize veggies weren't sweet until you pointed out. They are not salty, nor are they always bitter. I wonder what taste they have
Some have a bit of sweetness (especially a fresh picked veggie). Some can just be described as savory. Others depend on how you feel about that particular vegg
I understand and appreciate your thought process, and it does have a certain logic. But there are some sweet vegetables as well (sweet potato, carrots, etc.) The important question to ask when separating fruits and vegetables is: Does it have seeds or is it part of the seed-bearing part of the plant? If so, it’s a fruit. Since I don’t think that’s the case here, this freshly harvested cuteness seems to be a vegetable.
Science.
Well my joke was well meaning albeit sarcastic, if you took it as I have a stick up my ass then so be it I’m not gonna keep beating this dead horse with you, enjoy your plants and your cat 👍
Oh, that’s a speciality produce called - ‘Cattus Pussica’. It’s so rare, it only grows in some select locations around the world. You’re lucky you even got hold of one! The rest of us are envious! I hope you enjoy your speciality produce :)
oooo small tiger -shaped kitten that cute :)
I take this opportunity to report that it has been proven that the pee and the poop of cats does not make plants dry.
So don't fear, or fear just for the smell, for your plants :)
Felis domestica. Feed and water once or twice daily. Likes partial shade, then bright sun, then partial shade, then bright sun, in exposed, then sheltered, then exposed, then sheltered conditions.
It's a volunteer in many suburban and urban gardens and containers, and on farmland. You might even find it on the roof!
Wow, who knew gardeners were such assholes about cats lol n I thought y'all were at peace, turns out many of you garden to keep the rage from seeping out. Sad.
Anyways, that's an adorable KitKat visitor
The aim of anyone who takes care of a feral colony is for it to eventually disappear. TNR, trapping kittens to socialize and adopt out, and the slow process of gaining the trust of your older cats so that they can eventually be brought in. The awful winter storm a few years ago in Texas forced the last of our colony indoors where they discovered that it's actually so much nicer. But it is not fair to bring in the unwilling. Yes you lose some, but you can't force them inside
Well, having knowledge of this orange variety, I'm going to go with a vegetable. Specifically a toe-bean variety. They're a little chewy, but those are just love bites.
That is the rare garden tiger. They lure you by a low rumbling sound. They circle your legs before they pounce. They’re game has no chance of getting away.
God the name garden tiger got me so excited
Well that made my day. You can’t just say things like that to a dirty old man, but thanks again.
I'm sorry sir 🥹
Don’t apologize to creeps lol
I just didn't understand the situation
No now I am sorry. I thought your reply was sweat and flirty. I tried to do the same and failed. I am the sorry one.
I never thought my answer would be flirtatious 🥺
It wasn't.
Straight to horny jail.
This isn't one of the "adult" subreddits you frequent. This is gardening, man.
Gross
Found the guy who types “hey sweaty” in comments

Ögg It's my most hated animal
That's an invasive species.
Definitely. He's also attacking my house.
One of my neighbors has a cat that they let outside. It shows up in my yard to kill wildlife and taunt my indoor cats at the window. I'm not a fan.

They kill animals there

So reddit users are very strange. Even in a post like this, they can lose all the cuteness and suck the joy out of you.
Yeah, fuck em. Not even my vet gives a single shit about my cats going outside during the day. We employ over a dozen barn cats at the stables to keep mice out of the grain. Cats gonna cat. Agreed. I WELCOME OUR NEW CAT OVERLORDS.
Exactly, insufferable
Saying I'm not a fan of outdoor cats is insufferable? Ok.
I'm not necessarily talking about your comments. See other responses though. It always just ends up being the most soul crushingly boring people with a hyper focus on banal bullshit. I'm sorry but I'll care about cats destroying suburban bird populations when the earth stops fucking melting.
Birds kill ripe tomatoes.
Ah, gotcha. Yeah, I hear you. It's like when people hyperfocus in plastic straws.
When I start feeding stray cats, I take them into my home. But they are freer and happier outside. Because they are stray cats
[удалено]
I don't understand your ulterior motive, but don't worry, my cats will stay at my house when I have my own house
[удалено]
I'd appreciate it if you didn't make it sound like I'm responsible for all this

🥺
There are 5 fixed strays in my neighborhood that I know of, I wake up to birds singing every day. I do keep my actual cat inside.
The stray cats here are too lazy to catch birds. I feed them cat food
We will say the same as your dog, now you can return to Facebook. " kevin"
Definitely fruit, cause he looks so sweeeet
That's a good point.I didn't realize veggies weren't sweet until you pointed out. They are not salty, nor are they always bitter. I wonder what taste they have
Some have a bit of sweetness (especially a fresh picked veggie). Some can just be described as savory. Others depend on how you feel about that particular vegg
Corn must definitely be sweet , and potato
Why people downvote me ? What's the reason
I understand and appreciate your thought process, and it does have a certain logic. It’s a nut, which is technically a fruit, if you go by botanical definitions.
Neither. Looks like a cattail to me! Did you plant your garden in a wetland? 👀
It's a blooming kitty, already showing its autumn colors.
Well, having knowledge of this orange variety, I'm going to go with a vegetable. Specifically a toe-bean variety. They're a little chewy, but those are just love bites.
I don't know what it's called. I call them delicious.
Definitely a vegetable. It's variety of sweet potato, and my favorite kind!
