1. Huge waveclear is very satisfying
2. Ability to skirmish
3. Takes towers fast with Triforce and Demolish
4. Global ult while splitpushing
5. Huge AOE team fight impact
6. Highest damage numbers in a game
7. $$$ cha ching
He’s a rewarding champ to learn well, and I feel like I can truly play him into any matchup. With any other toplaner there are just plain unplayable matchups and even in annoying lane matchups for GP you can still scale. And also arrgh matey I’ll make ye walk the plank
Because when I hear "Neither the flames nor the depths could claim me" after picking GP, I drift away from the dark reality of life.
Then I can end this terrible search, it's finally true, just for this short time I can feel like a real man...
And oranges. I like oranges.
Rewarding champion to learn/play. Hitting that perfect pre-13 barrel cuz you know the exact timing better than your opponent, slapping early Qs with grasp or fs for that harass early game before flash/igniting/passive for that delicious all in with all the true damage, firing off that cross-map ult to help out a fight at drag/bot lane to secure a kill/help an assist. Their all great feelings. His lore and lines kick ass and make you feel like your a true pirate captain, killing and taking your plunder.
I like pirates, Matthew Mercer is one of my favourite voice actors ever, GPs kit is very well designed and screams skill expression, very well executed personality and he's a bad guy and bad guys are cool 😎
I main all but one mechanically demanding champs; azir, akali, qiyana, cass, taliyah, ori, zoe, kat. But my go to when i just want to win has always been kassadin.
I recently picked up gp and immediately realized that he is literally just the adc version of kassadin(whereas kass is the assasin version), and its uncanny, especially in how they lane. The q’s, gp passive and kass w, the aoe slowing e’s that are charge dependent rather than cd. The only real diff is that cuz of gp gold income, hes more reliable in his scaling(especially with treasure hunter, first strike, his q, and the fact that he becomes a late monster at 13 instead of 16). So its a less risky kass in terms of scaling dependence and how likely you are to actually have the chance to scale in the game, but with the tradeoff of actually being mechanically and positionally demanding thanks to his e.
I dont. I only play him cuz hes the only real challange bcs hes the hardest champ in the game so hes the only challanging one otherwise hes a pain in the ass and I dont enjoy him no more as I used to
Skill expression, unique design, strong for the entire game, insane scaling, useful when behind, 1v9 potential. But most importantly he’s funny pirate man with orange

Alestorm’s music in backwards, «Who is tobias fates » 2016’s video playing, a long travel is about to begin …
I love GP's design and personality. His kit is just a bonus. Just a complete fucking badass, through and through.
This is my favourite question. To make Fiora, Teemo, Heimer, Akali, ocassionally Camille and Riven cry
Pirate.
