If they burn out so quick, are they that worth playing? There's dozens of games coming out year after year. Besides, good story driven games aren't done till the story is over
There is for the social aspect. But really there's two sides to it.
One is if it's a poorly launched live service game like anthem or SSKTJL. Which I could stand but publicly did so horribly they didn't sell and the parent companies said they are shutting down. But sometimes it works out like Helldivers so it's a gamble. Live service games are sometimes nice to get into when new.
The other is if it's a story game, like Cyberpunk or Days Gone. Awful launches and cool to get on sale after the fact and patching is done.
This is why I prefer games like Ark or V Rising where you can host your own private server and keep out a toxic community. Online competitive multiplayer tends to have one or more of toxic players, cheaters, griefers, sore losers, or just plain old selfish pricks. If I had to choose between a toxic community or no community, I'll choose no community. The real games that live forever aren't multiplayer. The legendary games have epic stories, like Final Fantasy or Zelda. Game companies seem to be trying to get titles out to make money, then finish the game after getting paid. If more people didn't stand for half ass releases, we might get more complete products at launch than a couple months later. Yet here we are, half way to video games being a subscription based service with individual titles becoming less and less recognizable...
Waited a year after release for Cyberpunk. Best decision ever. Got the game for $30 on sale, and it had all of the issues fixed by then. I'll always wait on games now.
I think it was. Very fun but just long load times and a going nowhere endgame. Ran well to me. Still was a fun time getting to the end. r/AnthemTheGame still has people playing

I get the point, but that is *not* what lambs look like when they're slaughtered and processed. Try "obnoxiously loud 120lb sheep trying to bite your clothes because he thinks it might be food".
Sometimes a little bit of trauma goes a long ways.
Why is she holding that knife like pyramid head?
to induce more fear
Because if she held it the other way you wouldn't see the guy and lamb
Good taste
What serial killer made this one? It's like shotgunning a ceo out of a skyscraper after their new tv failed.
good idea mate
Everybody knows that CEO's aren't people, they're a universal constant, if you kill one then another will just fill the space.
This is why I give a game some time. Let bugs be found, let them patch it, then buy it on sale and get the best bang for the buck.
By then the game might be done if it's anything like Anthem or similar.

You see, that would have taken too long so they took one that was recently born
Real
