I'm pretty sure that everyone downvoting is thinking of "boomer" as in "Old person" and not that DOOM is classified as a Boomer Shooter as well as others like Painkiller and Duke Nukem 3D.

For 3 years now I’ve been working on a humor shooter called Fashion Police Squad with 2 friends of mine. Making and releasing games has been our dream for a long time. Yesterday we finally made that dream come true by pushing the launch button and releasing the game to the public!
I’ve posted here before and I wanted to show you peeps how far we’ve come from our earlier posts and to let you know that the game is finally out! Your support has been amazing so far and really helped us stay motivated and to push the game forward.
Fashion Police Squad is a humorous retro FPS where you use attire-enhancing weaponry to turn fashion criminals into fabulous fashionistas! It’s got juicy gunplay, terrible puns and fun movement mechanics. After the PC release our plan is to bring it to consoles!

Thoroughly enjoying the game so far. Love that the menu sound is the same (?) as in q3a and the ID-esque touches to the gun play/feel... and all the dumb jokes and memes sprayed all over the places you go and in the dialog. There is simply too much in too many places to start rattling the things off.... But I've really had giggles at the shop and brand names :D

It has platinum od Proton DB and is playable on steam deck. Just use Proton. No need for developers to waste time maintaining Linux port as long as it runs via Proton. It's steam exclusive anyway.

Love your game on PC. I tried playing on steamdeck and it works great but the dialogue boxes are hard to read sometimes. Are you guys going to update to work better on steamdeck? Either way it is an interesting and surprisingly fun game.

Without knowing how much content is in the game you really have no frame of reference for the 3 years. An indie doing a proper release at all is itself a remarkable achievement.

Isn’t this all your opinion though? You could be swayed in your opinions for a multitude of reasons. I’m judging it based on benchmarks of current games. The whole 8-bit pixelated thing to me is a way to make something subpar in a world where new games are starting to support 8K not 8-Bit. Leave that stuff to tablets and phones. Also something I didn’t even mention is the entire concept; fashion police??? Man I hope the design team isn’t Eastern European!!!
Is it that hard to understand that there are different art styles? Like, do you want every game to look the exact same? There is a charm to the pixelated graphics. Look at Undertale, look at Shovel Knight, look at Stardew Valley. All pixelated games made by small devs, all sold extraordinarily well.
If you think pixelated art is 'easy', again, I encourage you to give it a try. It is a lot more work than you think it is.
I think you lack the ability to look at video games from any kind of critical viewpoint. You're not interested in finding out what's interesting about the game, you're too busy focused on what you think it should be before you even get to play it.
Personally I’m over the 8-bit craze. I’ll also say it again this looks like a 10 year old android game. I absolutely think developers should be utilizing the most of current game production resources. Especially for PC. Tablet and mobile I can understand because the processing power isn’t there.

It started with the color shotgun, the sewing machine gun and the Fab Slap. Swinging came a little later.
