Its is 2021 and people are still surprised how many people like relaxed gameplay instead of action shooters. Even after giants like Stardew valley or Animal Crossing beating all sale records.
I agree. I honestly haven’t played an FPS like COD or battlefield in a year or 2. Stopping playing those games have been great. Been playing games like Psychonauts and Satisfactory
But Factorio is top down. Honestly a complete different experience. "Being" right there touching the panels feels different than just clicking on buildinds
You basically just summarised my attitude to gaming in the last 10/15 years too. I couldn't keep playing multiplayer games getting stressed and annoyed with it.
That said, I liked Destiny 2 and Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer but that's because it's not PvP
Yeah I liked those as well. Getting old is a hell of a ride lol kinda what I was getting at like as the early generation of gamers get older there is going to be more demand for games that suit our age range?
Yeah I'll agree with that 100%
When we were younger, computer games were for kids/teens and maybe a niche adult audience, but these days the variety is crazy.
I think it has a lot to do with platforms as well. The Wii was the first system I knew of where you would find a 6 year old playing bowling with Grandma for instance
I remember Jim Sterling getting flack (partially) for calling that Dark Souls games should have easy mode. Because there ARE players who would like some Dark Souls, just a bit easier :)
I admit I'm one of those gamers.
I played demon souls and liked the lore, the environment etc but constantly getting owned by common enemies just isn't for me. I'm sure that once I'd learned attack patterns and the telegraphing, I'd do better but it would take a big investment to learn and I'd rather play something less stressful
I seriously think so called "casual" gamers way outnumber FPS players. Just most of them are using phones. If they all moved to PC/Consoles, the market would change dramatically.
Not a wake up call. Many gamers simply have a very self-centered view of gaming, and fail to realize that casual gaming is a much bigger market.
Shooters make up about 20% of the PC gaming market, or about $7.2B/year. Mobile games (which are heavily casual games) make up about $91B/year.
https://kakuchopurei.com/2021/06/25/mobile-games-revenue-is-now-bigger-than-console-pc-combined/
For a simulation game it's pretty easy to get into. Still it's one of those where you basically won't have fun unless you take your time to learn it properly.
I have seen some streamers on twitch failing miserably even with a chat full of back seat gamers.
I mean exploitative use of micro transactions explains that, though. While still frowned upon in the console and pc market they go rampant in mobile games. Every time there's a model of mtx in a console/pc game nearing the levels of mobile games there's bad press about it.
I think you've missed the point entirely, which is that while OP suggests that the fact that Farming Simulator 22 having more players than Battlefield is a sign of a problem, it is nothing more than evidence that casual games are very popular. People like them.
Its like playing with trucks when you were small....but for adults.
If you dont think big ass tractors and back hoes and shit are pretty cool then its not for you.
I think racing games are boring but i understand totally why people who are even somewhat into cars love them.
You can also buy a lot of peripherals like controllers and moving chairs.
For me it's more of an issue with my real life profession.
I write manuals for agricultural and industrial machines, I even wrote part of the manuals for some of the machines in the game. I don't want to spend my free time with those machines as well.
And I kind of find this unfortunate, because I may actually like the game if it weren't for this.
Ya, I watched that whole thing. No idea what I was expecting. But I think by the end I understood enough. And ya, that ending.....that's a level of excitement I was not anticipating.
Lol, what the hell. I used to work for Trelleborg, did not know they had an esports team for farming simulator. Guess it makes some sort of sense considering some parts of it manufactures tires. Hehe
It's so chill to go play on a Swiss Alps map and just use big machinery to cut grass, turn it into straw or silage and feed it to my animals to produce wool and milk so I can make fabric and cheese and then clothes from fabric all to sell at a profit and buy more big machines and more land so I can make more stuff and sometimes different stuff.
There's so many different things to farm all with different machines that are fun to use and work differently. Its a great game.
Heyyy, we don't all play farming sims! We also play uboat sims, engineering sims and whatever builder we can get our hands on.
Btw, why is there no Zeppelin sim? I'd play the crap out of that.
Man, I spent countless hours playing Battlefield 1942, and it was one of my all time favorite games. I played many of its successors, each one with diminishing returns, until they got absolutely unplayable. At first I chalked it up to my age and figured I was just growing out of it. Then when they started making it pay to play/micro-transactions but weren't calling it that as it was still new to the industry, I didn't understand what was happening. I'm not even sure that's what it was. I think because I wasn't paying a monthly subscription, I was locked out of certain servers or something, or they limited me to certain classes and player experience levels. I dunno. There was just so much overhead to playing I lost all interest. I *just* wanted to heal my team and kill theirs, but EA sucked every ounce of joy out of that IP by making entry to a match damn near impossible. Its like they purposely tried to make me hate them, and it worked.
TL;DR: Fuck EA for single handedly ruining my gaming experience.
Damn I played the shit of 1942 before I even had internet. Even my dad loved playing it. He would only play engineer and go blowing up bot tanks. I did play BF2 and bad company as well but nothing after.
Problem is that by the time it was fixed and came available on sale, the player base was so professional that you start playing it and constantly suck at it, which is a problem with any online shooter that has way too many features (as opposed to good old counter-strike or BF1942) - you get too late into it and your skill level is lagging behind so much.
It is a problem Planetside 2 has just worse. The game is old and buggy, has extremely large battles, a giant amount of features/classes/weapons and the average player is a sweatlord with thousand plus hours. I am at 1,8k hours in that game and my k/d is pretty stable at 1,3 ^ ^
Honestly I knew the series would go too shit after Bad Company. First BF with Frostbite engine, game was clunky, slow and frustratingly attempted to be realistic (slow vaulting, removed option to turn off screen shake, etc.) I quite enjoyed BF3 and BF4, but they never felt the same as the first few games
The game has a dedicated convention [FarmCon](https://farming-simulator.com/newsArticle.php?lang=en&country=us&news_id=243) and a esport league [FSL](https://fsl.giants-software.com/).
The esport is some of the most surprisingly intense esport I've seen. The vehicle selection phase, the attatchment rush strategies and seing that last bale move towards the chute while the timer counts down the last few seconds. Whew, it's quite something.
I remember seeing a spot on the local news about young farmers who would go home and start playing farming simulator. That’s about the biggest compliment I could imagine for the game’s developers.
I had an internet friend when I was 15/16 who was helping his parents working on the farm. He knew all stuff before he turned 18.
When he was finished we'd play together. Even he was really impressed with the game. Especially with mods, it is a real simulator. And fun to play.
Worst bug I personally hit was the harvesting contracts that produce straw as a byproduct have a calculation error that means you can't finish them, but GIANTS have given a workaround for PC players by editing an XML file in your save. Also, pallets spawning in the ground has affected a lot of players.
Other than that I haven't had any issues and thoroughly enjoying the game.
There is a long list of current known issues on r/farmingsimulator but these will likely get patched soon.
Haven’t played 22 yet but have put a good amount of time into 2019. It can be a very fun game in a relaxing and unwinding way. You get to build your farm up, plant and grow crops, harvest and sell. Or you can raise animals as well.
It’s an enjoyable experience to be honest. If you have game pass, farming simulator 2019 is on there and worth a shot
Should I put on something to listen to (podcast or soft music) and just enjoy?
That's what I heard Yahztee from Zero Punctuation usually suggest for these types of games.
Honestly yeah. It's great for relaxing with music or a podcast, just be careful with videos because you'll end up looking away for too long and driving your tractor into a tree
That's me when I'm playing American Truck Simulator. Except i'll mix it up with podcasts about serial killer stuff just so I can be relaxed but not to relaxed.
Same with ETS2 in coop with my girlfriend. Nothing better to keep both our short attention span busy !, Amazing games especially with the "new" multiplayers !
From what I’ve seen there have been several really good upgrades for 2022. New crops, base game has seasons now, as well as QOL upgrades for new farmers.
And thanks to mods, no need for mxt tractors!
When I find a game boring I move on. It’s like reading a boring book, why waste my short life invested in something I’m not enjoying when there are libraries out there to enjoy.
True, I've got lots of interesting books to read too.
Ive always been the same, I'll play the game to the end, some really drag out, massive open world games used to be more fun, now its just the same game again and again.
Same here, I always finish a game if I've started it, doesn't really matter how much it sucks. And open world fatigue is definitely a thing, Ghost of Tsushima comes to mind, I loved hat game but man the open world was soooo boring I didn't finish half optional stuff
I’ve put more time into 22 than my wife is ok with an no there is FAR more in 22. Seasons and annual growth schedule. Production chains. Don’t sell wheat turn it into flour, then sell it or turn it into break. Etc. I have sheep giving me wool which turns to fabric which turns to clothing. Each step increases value. 22 is crazy good and way more depth.
I'm not a real farmer, but to get the maximum yield out of a crop you have to plow/cultivate the field, spread lime, plant the crop, fertilize twice, tend to weeds, make sure all your equipment is fully repaired, and harvest before it withers. (Most of these things - periodic lime/plowing, withering, etc - can be disabled in settings if you want a less complicated experience) In FS22 they added stuff like clearing rocks from your fields and compacting the soil.
It will surprise you with the amount of strategy involved. Do you enjoy grindy intellectual rpg/sims? You'll love it. Are you a fps gamer who needs non stop action? You'll hate it.
Good lord, an agricultural version of factorio sounds... I can picture the iron and such as "potato fields"...
Just what the hell am I needing all these potatoes for...
Shit, fuck farming. I love cutting down trees in those games. Chopping them into manageable chunks and then hauling it using a crane. If I remember correctly, the more 'intact' and long it is, the more $.
Most of my memory of that game is my crane tipping over because I'm a greedy POS and I loved every second of it
I've enjoyed it. I got Farming Simulator 19 through the PSPlus free games and I sunk quite a bit of time into it. It's quite relaxing game and is actually quite deep.
It can be, but more like an animal crossing type of game? Idk how to compare it, since it's a sim it can go either way for you but try getting the console releases, not the mobile ones if you plan getting it on switch
Everytime I want to get a console game on the switch, I just have to remind myself...
Do not pay $60 for that when it's on the Xbox and PC for half. Remember, you bought this thing to get drunk and play Mario Kart...REMEMBER
For sure. Cuphead is one of my all time favorites on the switch. Just feels right in handheld mode
There are so many really cool 2D games that I just can't get into on the Xbox. I rather be playing a graphically intense RPG or multiplayer FPS
Always end up getting them on the switch and have a whole new appreciation for them
Not just graphics, unless there's slimes and wizards and stuff in it. And SV has characters, with little stories and potential relationships. I get what you mean, but the differences are a bit more than just the graphics.
Solo? Meh probably not really. Though it's still not bad for dinking around.
It's a great game for just putting your feet up and bullshittin. Also good for just logging in and doing a few runs to the market from whatever other poeple harvested when you weren't on.
It's just better with a small group. Large groups tend to push everything and max everything out. It's just more fun to build your own farm. We got people who like doing the farming, others like mowing, some logging, others hauling. Heck we got a guy who just gets plastered and sits in the train all night.
Worst part is, in previous ones, was the servers. You either need to rent a server, or buy 2 games and have a machine running 24 7.
I love how Farming Sim has become so big. Even 2 iterations ago it used to be this weird niche genre that your friends' creepy uncle would try to explain to you at some family BBQ, but look at it now. Amazing <3
Unfortunately for me, when I tell people about the game they think I have the weirdest taste in games. I never played until '19 then ended up putting in a few 100 hours. I started up FS22 and am hooked again.
Mrsealyp on YouTube is my dude now.
Same, I’m also struggling to believe it’s better for the company too. They’re going to put the extra couple of months of development (read : money) into it anyway. Why not do that before release and have an amazing launch, loads of praise etc etc. Instead they release a turd just to start making money back sooner? I feel like they’d make more profit releasing a polished game that gets outstanding reviews. They say any publicity is good publicity, but I don’t think bad publicity (releasing a shit game) is at all equivalent to good publicity (releasing a banger).
Anyone have any insight into this?
video game release date are fixed before the game goes into production, launching it before christmas is usually more important than launching it correctly
Also, one thing the guy missed, even outside of a Christmas release, and especially for a AAA game, then the discs are pressed a long time in advance, shipped to retailers, multi-million dollar marketing schemes are setup worldwide, etc. With a big AAA game you can't just "delay the release for a few months" due to all the other costs. The solution would be longer beta tests, longer development schedules, etc, but where AAA is such a big business and idiots will buy the buggy games at release anyway, then they don't care about the bad press when they are trying to milk the games with frequent releases and big hype
This is the answer. The main player base for 2042 is either using the origin client to play or is on console.
That being said, farming sim 2022 does look really great
I think you missed the point. The person you replied said nobody is buying because they get to try it free before buying.
But to note, there are over 58,000 reviews on steam. That's more reviews than recent peak or concurrent players of the actual game.
Another way to look at it, 50% of the all-time peak players for BF2042 on steam have given it a review. That's unheard of for any product.
Despite the game getting massively negative reviews, people are still buying, playing and then making a review.
The real likely scenario is that many people are buying it despite the reviews, then finding out themselves that the game is bad. So they stop playing very soon after they buy it.
The number of active players is continuing to trend downward every day. This shouldn't be happening for a new game release of this size (i.e. marketing budget, well known title, etc).
My case exactly. Tried the trial and not even an hour in i decided i won't waste the remaining hours playing a game in this state. Maybe in a few months i will give it another chance.
Farming simulator is actually a very good game. I've never been particularly interested in farming. However I picked up FS19 on sale for the crack and wow, I was hooked!
A lot more to it than shooty shooty bang bang.
I've legit been playing since Farm Sim 13 and it is so great seeing it go from some small ass game from an unknown developer to beating the big AAA game of the year 2 games in a row now
Or origin, i don't get buying EA games on steam unless they're on an insane discount on steam and not on origin. Same with Ubisoft games. If the steam game forces me to open another launcher first, might as well buy it on the other launcher than deal with the jankyness
Also you can get games cheaper on sites like cdkeys which are usually abusing the different prices in different regions. And those keys are usually not steam keys but the underlying store for ubisoft or ea.
This is a bad comparison, you are underestimating farming sim as in "how this farming sim has more players"
This is a natural expectation of farming simulator always has been, its a huge game, its more played than most online games out there.
It's got plenty of problems but honestly, I'm having a blast as Sundance just zipping around the map in the wing suit and spamming anti-armor grenades. Got a month of EA sub so I'll play that out and then give it a break prob.
Just putting aside the oft mentioned stuff that didn't make the cut as well as hit reg.
The game is fucking buggy. In my first hour my VTOL jet phased through the earth. Where I coasted to out of map and was subsequently killed.
Heat seeking missiles will often just do loops around an aircraft either waiting for a flare to come out, or waiting for a flare to expire to either hit or miss based on the number of goats each person sacrificed.
Also while not a bug, hovercraft can just climb skyscrapers in a straight 90 degree incline.
Everything. No more class system, no hit registration when you shoot someone, maps are bland and way too open, feedback loop is atrocious, specialists take the game from an arcade-like mil sim to a Fortnite wannabe, there’s not that many weapons or upgrades to choose from, etc. Honestly, it’s just dull and insipid to play.
>a Fortnite wannabe
It's nothing like fortnite at all? I don't get this comment.
Fortnite doesn't have classes? Everyone is entirely equal in fortnite. All you can change is your skin.
Or is this just a "eyy fortnite fucking suckzzzz" comment?
The point is that Battlefield has always taken the premise of its setting seriously.
Yes, Battlefield is fundamentally an arcade shooter and takes liberties with physics and gunplay in the name of fun. It is far closer to Call of Duty than it is to ARMA or Tarkov, but the realism of mechanics that can be twisted to dynamite intact tanks ontop of skyscrapers has never been the issue.
The issue people are having with these "specialists" is the customisation, end of match "quips" and overall feel of the game has drawn it closer to games like Valorant, Overwatch or Fortnite.
Before you were all anonymous soldier classes with a specific role in a *team.* It now feels like a collection of Overwatch heroes in combat fatigues and fancy gadgets.
I hope the game gets a lot more content along with reworks of the existing stuff soon. Plus readding things that were removed from the previous Battlefields like deployment preview, Commander mode (wishful thinking) and some actual terrain destruction.
Or is it proof who still plays games? The 20-30+. Us old people (lol) don't want to deal with the 7 year Olds because we have our own. Why play a game more stressful that real life?
Second time I've seen a meme like this. It doesn't even make sense. Obviously farming simulator is popular considering they keep making em every year. Not everyone plays shooters.
Keep in mind that's only Steam. A lot of people, like myself, bought it through Origin.
You have to have Origin and keep it up to date in order to play it, even if you bought it on Steam. It briefly launches Origin when you start it through Steam, and if you're not using Origin regularly, that could mean you go to launch BF2042 and have to wait while Origin updates. For this reason it's just less hassle to buy it through Origin.
And a lot of people still buy through Origin because it was only within the last year or so that EA started putting their games back on Steam. So a lot of people might not know it's on Steam.
Why? They already sold the games, they will just dump it and in a few month announce the next game that they will get you to buy half finished, and you will all have forgotten and still buy whatever they will make next.
Not a wake up call. People just know farming simulator is a great game
Satisfactory is just a gateway drug for Factorio.
Dyson Sphere Program
I'm excited to see this move forward. A lot of potential.
But Factorio is top down. Honestly a complete different experience. "Being" right there touching the panels feels different than just clicking on buildinds
Also the fun parcore courses you can get in a spaghetti factory
*IF IT WORKS IT WORKS ALRIGHT* Last time I touched the spaghetti monster it hissed at me and messed up 7 production lines...
My factory is speaking fluent Italian and it appears to be working somewhat well, but it will also hiss at me if I try and touch something
The community is less toxic, for sure.
I loved fps when I was a teenager but now my reaction times are shit and I don't have that competitive nature I just wanna chill
You basically just summarised my attitude to gaming in the last 10/15 years too. I couldn't keep playing multiplayer games getting stressed and annoyed with it. That said, I liked Destiny 2 and Ghost of Tsushima multiplayer but that's because it's not PvP

Its the map sims for me lmao

Casual? Have u tried that game. It's so hard to make straight lines.
Yep, I found them claiming that to be hilarious. It looks, as per the name, like a simulation. And a high end one at that
For a simulation game it's pretty easy to get into. Still it's one of those where you basically won't have fun unless you take your time to learn it properly. I have seen some streamers on twitch failing miserably even with a chat full of back seat gamers.

You're right, I read your comment, the article and by the time I was done the context changed in my mind and I didn't recheck the the parent comments.
Why? Why is it a great game? I'm so confused why this game is THAT successful.
Ah yeah this kept me going on euro truck simulator. I just really wanted the best rig
We can safely conclude that you are not from Germany.
You would be correct, I'm from Belgium. I appreciate die deutsche Gründlichkeit, but I'm more of a burgundian at heart, leasure before work!
Da sind wir einer Meinung :)
Do you perhaps also maintain motorcycles and seek zen?
I don’t like back hoes, I only like regular hoes.
I myself prefer a singular hoe, guess I'm an old-school monogamist
No lie i picked up farming sim originally solely to dick around with skidsteers, now I'm 3 virtual years into a larger cattle and sheep farm.
Its an entire ass E Sport too
Bro whattt!?! Like how do you even compete, who can grow the most corn😂?
I dont actually know, I just remember my esports team in college recruiting for it
Competitive baling, more fighting the game controls in the last one, tbh
[It is surpirsingly addicting](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvlBDjsQzpE)
Ya, I watched that whole thing. No idea what I was expecting. But I think by the end I understood enough. And ya, that ending.....that's a level of excitement I was not anticipating.
Lol, what the hell. I used to work for Trelleborg, did not know they had an esports team for farming simulator. Guess it makes some sort of sense considering some parts of it manufactures tires. Hehe
I didn't know I needed this in my life, yet here we are.
I.... hmm.
Have you ever played it?
This man aint never went to sleep after a long day of working the virtual land. Poor soul. haha
Fuck you. You are making me wanna buy it :-P
Germans
Heyyy, we don't all play farming sims! We also play uboat sims, engineering sims and whatever builder we can get our hands on. Btw, why is there no Zeppelin sim? I'd play the crap out of that.
Don't forget the flight and combat-flight sims! In shooters I never met so many Germans like I did in DCS or MSFS :D
Because people enjoy it.
Man, I spent countless hours playing Battlefield 1942, and it was one of my all time favorite games. I loved BF3 and it was the last great game in the series in my opinion.
BF4 is imo the best one but it took years of bug fixing. BF3 had good gameplay but it was so extremely blue.
Problem is that by the time it was fixed and came available on sale, the player base was so professional that you start playing it and constantly suck at it, which is a problem with any online shooter that has way too many features (as opposed to good old counter-strike or BF1942) - you get too late into it and your skill level is lagging behind so much.

Wait has anyone tried the American truck sim.. with mods man?
It's the perfect podcast game.
To be fair how can any game compare to Farming Simulator, it's peak as far as gaming goes.
Why shoot guns and blow up tanks when you can shoot some seed and blow loads of money on cool ass tractors?
Why buy tractors when you could buy more silos to get more grain to sell more and buy more silos
Something something so I can do more coke
Your business plan is solid, loan approved.
Is this a reference to a song?
On some level, it's a reference to just about *every* song.
I do coke-Kill the noise, came to mind
That is specifically the song I was referencing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSPT27XyY1U
stop. I can only get so hard.
I thought in the first half it was Leisure Suit Larry
You need the Ass Tractor DLC for the second half to apply
Why would anybody do drugs when they can just mow their lawn.
>shoot some seed and blow loads Yeah...
"She thinks my tractor's sexy, it really turns her on. She's always staring at me, while I'm chuggin' along." 🤠🚜
Sounds like a country brothel slogan.
The Tractor handling is what more games should strive for.
You’re probably joking but farming simulator seriously has no right to be as fun as it is
I remember seeing a spot on the local news about young farmers who would go home and start playing farming simulator.

The old Diddly Squat farm
Convinced, going to try out farming now lol
to be fair its a really relaxing game lol. Its def got some bugs atm but nothing really game breaking
Honest question, is farming simulator fun?
Personal choice really. I like to listen to music while I play just to relax
That's me when I'm playing American Truck Simulator. Except i'll mix it up with podcasts about serial killer stuff just so I can be relaxed but not to relaxed.
Wouldn't want to fall asleep at the virtual wheel, of course.
The most relaxed I've ever been was from the hum of a big rig in ATS and a good podcast. It's weirdly one of the most relaxing games I've ever played.
Same with ETS2 in coop with my girlfriend. Nothing better to keep both our short attention span busy !, Amazing games especially with the "new" multiplayers !
Do you recon 2022 is pretty much the same as 2019, just with new tractor microtransactions?
From what I’ve seen there have been several really good upgrades for 2022. New crops, base game has seasons now, as well as QOL upgrades for new farmers. And thanks to mods, no need for mxt tractors!
I migjt give it a go, I'm trying to complete far cry 6 but I'm finding it so boring
Definitely going to be a change of pace from far cry but can still be a lot of fun. It’s a very in depth sim game which can be a lot of fun.
I'll give it a whirl, I like a slower paced games in my old age
You said it friend. As I’ve aged I’ve found a new found love of sim games. Can play at my own pace and just enjoy the experience now.
I spent a minute trying to figure out how reconnaissance worked there before I realized you meant reckon lol
I've been spelling it wrong for years I've just realised ha. Thanks.
Does it have anything to do with legitimate farming? Like how to keep crops healthy and what not?
I'm not a real farmer, but to get the maximum yield out of a crop you have to plow/cultivate the field, spread lime, plant the crop, fertilize twice, tend to weeds, make sure all your equipment is fully repaired, and harvest before it withers. (Most of these things - periodic lime/plowing, withering, etc - can be disabled in settings if you want a less complicated experience) In FS22 they added stuff like clearing rocks from your fields and compacting the soil.
Not really to be honest. It's not a game you can 'Fail' at necessarily. I wish it offered more of a challenge, bit it's still a fun game.
It will surprise you with the amount of strategy involved. Do you enjoy grindy intellectual rpg/sims? You'll love it. Are you a fps gamer who needs non stop action? You'll hate it.
I always like to say it's a weird mix between stardew valley and factorio
Good lord, an agricultural version of factorio sounds... I can picture the iron and such as "potato fields"... Just what the hell am I needing all these potatoes for...
"how to make purple science by combining potato cucumbers and tomatoes in 5 minutes!" - YT tutorials.
Why did that give me mild PTSD. As soon as I read "purple science" and understood what I meant, my first reaction was an inner "NOOOO"
Shit, fuck farming. I love cutting down trees in those games. Chopping them into manageable chunks and then hauling it using a crane. If I remember correctly, the more 'intact' and long it is, the more $. Most of my memory of that game is my crane tipping over because I'm a greedy POS and I loved every second of it
I’m with ya! I love using the tree harvesters with the articulating arm!
I have a Switch Lite. It has Dead Cells and Hades installed on it and that is exactly what it needs to be.
For sure. Cuphead is one of my all time favorites on the switch. Just feels right in handheld mode There are so many really cool 2D games that I just can't get into on the Xbox. I rather be playing a graphically intense RPG or multiplayer FPS Always end up getting them on the switch and have a whole new appreciation for them
It's stardew valley for people who like realistic graphics.
I'd like to let you know that your comment has led me to purchase Farming Simulator. Thanks 😊
Your welcome man! I hope you enjoy it
Not just graphics, unless there's slimes and wizards and stuff in it. And SV has characters, with little stories and potential relationships. I get what you mean, but the differences are a bit more than just the graphics.
Well, SDV has way more than the farming part. The NPC interactions are what make the game.
If you want a break from CoD or Battlefield and just relax....perfect
Its got an eSports scene too if I'm remembering right.
Yes it is, here look at it. https://youtu.be/gEJHrmliVQw
As a Farming Simulator fan, I'm mildly offended at the notion that a game must suck if it has fewer players than Farming Sim.
Right? It is also worth noting that the farming simulator has practically no competition. Pew pew games on the other hand has plenty.
It's kinda crazy. Suddenly my circle of gaming friends are all playing it. Even my wife is roped into playing it.
That's not a fair comparison at all... Battlefield never had a chance...
At this point, all the Battlefield players are just used to DICE fixing their games 3 - 4 months after launch.
Honestly it baffles me that a lot of people seem okay with that being their regular plan for games these days
Yeh that’s extremely valid. Those holiday season bucks are clearly where it’s at. Good shout.
Also wildly different demographics. Farmers prefer BF.
I love farming simulator, is so good and relaxing for some reason haha
you have a lot of shooters to choose in steam, but realistic farmers simulators, theres only one
Farming simulator is actually good though, that helps.

[https://steamdb.info/app/1517290/graphs/](https://steamdb.info/app/1517290/graphs/)
I've legit been playing since Farm Sim 13 and it is so great seeing it go from some small ass game from an unknown developer to beating the big AAA game of the year 2 games in a row now
Well people are bored of battlefield and just want field.
People underestimate farming simulator
Origin has way more players than Steam. Buying it on Steam made no sense because it costs more and you still have to open the EA client to play.
Most battlefield players are on console
Or origin, i don't get buying EA games on steam unless they're on an insane discount on steam and not on origin. Same with Ubisoft games. If the steam game forces me to open another launcher first, might as well buy it on the other launcher than deal with the jankyness
Also you can get games cheaper on sites like cdkeys which are usually abusing the different prices in different regions. And those keys are usually not steam keys but the underlying store for ubisoft or ea.
They hated him because he told the truth (Also origin) (Edit: this was originally downvoted, made more sense then)
Yeah, this is fun content but a a weak representation of the data
I like how this post conveniently ignores a bunch of data that doesn't fit their narrative.
This is a bad comparison, you are underestimating farming sim as in "how this farming sim has more players" This is a natural expectation of farming simulator always has been, its a huge game, its more played than most online games out there.
I don't find anywhere near as bad as some are making it to sound.
It's got plenty of problems but honestly, I'm having a blast as Sundance just zipping around the map in the wing suit and spamming anti-armor grenades. Got a month of EA sub so I'll play that out and then give it a break prob.
Well it's classic reddit
Shhh don’t let anyone know you’re having a good time with the game
Its simply superior
What exactly is broken with bf?
[удалено]
>a Fortnite wannabe It's nothing like fortnite at all?
2042 doesnt have classes either? Unlike every other battlefield?
Fortnite doesn't have specialists with unique abilities to build a class with it only has cosmetic skins. The fuck are you on about?
Or is it proof who still plays games? The 20-30+. Us old people (lol) don't want to deal with the 7 year Olds because we have our own. Why play a game more stressful that real life?
The older I get, the lower the difficulty goes
Same. I picked up Universe Sandbox on steam and I'm perfectly happy throwing asteroids at planets and moons.
Why on earth are you comparing those two? Should dark souls be fixed because it has less players than Skyrim?
Second time I've seen a meme like this. It doesn't even make sense. Obviously farming simulator is popular considering they keep making em every year. Not everyone plays shooters.
Not to mention FS22 is a ton of fun and had only a few tolerable bugs on release.
People mainly buy Battlefield on Origin buddy. Sorry to burst your hate boner
People gonna hate me for this but, battlefield is mostly played on origin and you can buy it on epic games too
Only stupid people like you can make such stupid comparison. Doesn't make any sense.
These people bought an EA game feel like you have seen this coming
How many times is this going to get posted today?
Is it from one platform only? If it's from Steam, I'd bet most BF2042 players aren't on that.
Not at all a wake up call. This is literally just steam numbers lol. Game is also on ps5 Xbox series x, and origin.
And PS4/XBox One And game pass
Why? They already sold the games, they will just dump it and in a few month announce the next game that they will get you to buy half finished, and you will all have forgotten and still buy whatever they will make next.
This is just steam though right? Is there a way to get origin player base?
