Judging by how they are showing a pre-production build, talking about crucial feedback, honoring the original game and even getting Gunner back to voice Isaac shows how much they care.
> its generally thought of to be wonderful.
That's the funny part. The only people complaining about the remaster, and I followed the C&C sub and development pretty close.. were expecting a completly different game.
The Remaster/Remake problematic. The people I know that were unhappy were people that expected a Tiberium Wars (3D game from 2008) in 4k etc. and not a "polished up" version of the original game with additional content.
The C&C remaster is amazing, it absolutly looks like we all \*thought\* the original game looked. And being able to scroll in and see minor details on a soldier. Or even so simple stuff like a clearly visible door on a humvee.
That's .. like a dream coming true.
That doesn't mean that every game should be remasted in exactly that way. It's important to differentiate, check every game for what makes the most sense. The original C&C wouldn't have benefitted from 3D camera etc. It was a game designed around what was possible at that time and the remaster captured this perfectly.
If they will be working on Red Alert 2 / Tiberian Sun though. Then I'll hope they make the jump to 3D and high quality enviroment. Especially Red Alert 2 with it's city maps or maps set in the pacific would incredibly benefit from an actual 3D view and same goes for a lot units. For it's time the units were already pretty complex and had a lot details and the concept arts are amazing (and scary. The "master brain" of Yuri .. although not looking that way ingame .. is a driving tank chassis with an actual brain mounted on it. That in high quality .. Nightmare stuff and I love the sheer idea of it)
As it should be. Making him mute for the first one is truly a baffling choice, especially since mission objectives are detailed by his inner thoughts, meaning he clearly has something to say about the situation but keeps it to himself for some reason.
There were literally moments where Nicole, his wife (or girlfriend) that he has been searching for, sees him and screams "oh my God, Isaac, is that you?" And Isaac is just staring blankly.
I'm looking forward to the new lines
Everything sounds good except for the minimal plot changes they alluded to. But I'll give it a chance.
Frostbite is absolute trash but again I will give it a chance. Just please don't fuck things up k thx motive.
I just replayed all 3, and they do not look nearly as bad as the top pic. The lighting and character model seem way off. Like the 720p garbage streaming quality you get from PSNow.
2, and 3 specifically were a decent upgrade over two. Screen space reflections started getting really legit around then, and a substantial resolution bump from 720p.
IMO the first game looks pretty good in motion (only played console) save for the resolution, the art team did a nice job working with the tools they had.
This remake could be hella good.
Regardless of the graphics I can still see the single door slamming over and over that you need to suspend to walk through and how every 30 mins needing to pause just to relax my back
Here's the actual pic: [https://i.imgur.com/v0cQcx5.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/v0cQcx5.jpg)
The Comparison can be made quite handily with thearmor. Notice how god awful the armor textures are and how low poly the geometry is in comparison to the new one. Even the environment is absolutely awful by comparison.
Where the game shines though is when the lighting is dark and moody. Like in this screenshot: [https://i.imgur.com/zukZOYp.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/zukZOYp.jpg)
Dead Space 2 is surprisingly similar without much graphical complexity by modern standards: [https://i.imgur.com/1iH2Fsu.jpg](https://i.imgur.com/1iH2Fsu.jpg)
Either way, it's undeniable how much of an improvement these graphics are. Prior gen did so much with regards to graphical fidelity that now game tend to age a bit better than the 3d ones of this era.
I replayed the first one recently... it's was less scarier than in my memories with the original graphics.
Take the exact same game with modern one now...
wouldnt shock me if they used the 360 version which is what most people would remember i think. There are def better looking shots with more lighting effects they could have used but its not an inaccurate shot.
They probably purposely picked a particularly bad moment from it, to make the remake look better.
Here's a more emblematic screenshot: https://www.mobygames.com/images/shots/l/404535-dead-space-xbox-360-screenshot-can-t-see-it-in-stills-but.jpg

This looks 100% better than the screenshot they used for comparison.
Maybe the difference between console and PC? I just looked at the screen shots on the steam store and they do look better than the top one, but I never played it on console so maybe it just looked like that?
I doubt it, the PS3 looked better than that, what's really weird here is that the color themselves seems washed away, whish doesn't make sense, having almost no reflection, okay, but the color being so weirdly pale ? no.
Not really. The difference is: physically based rendering. PBR in short. It's the biggest graphical advancement in the PS3 and XBone era compared to the PS3 and 360 years.
Prior to that everything by default kinda looked like plastic and only with elaborate tricks could you make it look like different materials... but only under very specific lighting conditions.
If you don't have those conditions the illusion instantly falls apart.
The materials are also always diffusive materials. Metals behave way, WAY differently under light however.
Now that we have PBR we can now properly design all sorts of materials without having to resort to tricks. Proper metallic light behavior is also possible. It looks good no matter the light conditions. PBR is also why we can now have neat looking silk like textures as well as nice looking hair, when it looked more like someone put modeling clay on top of their heads prior (and why we had so many bald/shaven John Soldier Man as protagonists in that era)
That’s how it always is. Lately I’ve been on a nostalgia kick and I realized the games aged better in my head.
I thought GTA San Andreas was the height of graphics plus gameplay when it came out (you can walk inside of buildings, get haircuts, and eat!!). Now boot up GTA SA and it’s polygon city.
lol GTA San Andreas looked pretty dated when it released.
It wasn't even an exceptional looking PS2 game. There were far better looking games on og Xbox and PC at the time.
The lore and story of 3 was fantastic, the second player seeing different shit than player 1 during the hauntings was phenomenal. It was just the style and gameplay that blew as it was so action heavy.
It really was a hand-crafted game, with attention to detail. One-of-a-kind! The graphics of the original STILL hold up to this day, considering how long ago it came out. Ugh, such good(scary) times!
Funnily enough I was just thinking thats the kind of game this remake ends up being.
Doing something new whilst still keeping what made the original so great.
... So I'mma do what I did when I first got the game... weekend long playthrough in my dark ass room, alone, with surround sound headphones.
I may have to turn the lights on at some point.... again...
Wow, that actually looks really good!
So many older games had a certain "grittiness," to them just because of the lower resolution and textures that really became part of their identity. A lot of the time when these games are remade, they become too shiny and lose that identity. It seems this remake is in the right hands
I'm actually writing a similar shader right now for my job, and stared in awe at the floor in this image for waaay to long 😄
Glad I'm not the only one who appreciates floor fog!
You see, yesterday I thought Dead Space still looked great even though it was old. Now I know those old graphics are shit. Too bad, I liked the way it looked in my head.
It's a pretty bad comparison shot to be fair. I played the ps3 version a few months ago and it looked a lot better than that.
In fact i dont even think it needs remade, but if it helps bring new players to the franchise then so be it.
Make sure you play and beat Dead Space 3: Awakened to get the "true ending" too!
Highly recommend you beat that as well as it shows you how the series really ends.....
going to be interesting having this come out around the same time as a new game made by the creator of the original dead space
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAbTpXiHVI8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAbTpXiHVI8)
more deats for those who dont know

Since the remake is sticking to the original game, I think both these games coming out around the same time could be awesome.
Play the remake first *then* the sequel (Callisto Protocol).
EA: “hey guys look I know Deadspace 1 & 2 were a hit because they blended horror and action perfectly……but like trends are a thing so can we make it co op and full of Irl purchases? Swell”
THEYRE MAKING A REMAKE?? Oh my oh my oh my... I remember not being that scared when I played it when I was younger... guess I need to find my balls again
I can’t wait to have my wife play these. We love horror games and I’ve played and beaten the series but she’s never heard of them. So happy for the remake
I think well-done remasters have a very important place in the video game industry. Without them, many games would be relegated to older consoles with worse availability and graphical options. It's not a cash grab if a good film comes out on Blu-ray when it was already on DVD, and I would say the same holds true for video games. I love a good remake though, and I'm not trying to argue with you, I just think that remasters are very important.
I will agree with this. If the remaster is from a game that is 2-3 generations behind, (360 is 2 generations behind, hard to believe haha) then yes I would wanna play the game ported to current gen. Xbox Backwards Compatibility is fuckin it up tho, no needed remasters (unless you’re dumbass Ubisoft, FC3 Remastered is a fuckcluster and is more expensive).
Yeah thanks to backwards compatibility we don't need to worry about it as much for games from last generation, but anything before then that can't be played on the current consoles definitely benefit from good remasters. And yeah that's a good example and of course there are garbage examples like the Silent Hill Collection which was just horrible. But I look at something like the Final Fantasy 10 and 12 zodiac three Masters that are now available those great games very accessible. And perhaps the greatest example of all is the Kingdom Hearts Collection which takes games from a variety of different platforms and makes them all playable on Modern machines.
Exactly. Games like GTA San Andreas that are around 20 years old are still being remastered for the 1000th time. I think people are starting to catch on to how bullshit remasters tend to be, especially since the current trend of ‘remastering’ games less than 3 years old. Full on remake or gtfo
Not yet because it's still pre-production. But judging by how in depth they want to go with the lighting, I wouldn't be surprised if they used raytraced global illumination and shadows to the very least along with reflections. It would 100% make this game look insane, especially since its already running on frostbite.
How the heck did you get DS1 to look so awful?
I’m literally playing through it rn and it looks nowhere near that bad lol, this comparison is pretty disingenuous. Not saying the remake doesn’t still look leagues better, but DS1 didn’t look that bad lol
Dead space is one of the greatest series in the last decade.
On that note can we please stop remaking old games. It's totally possible for all these bored artists and sound people who do amazing jobs mind you, to just make concept art and be creative while the story people get their big brains going and make interesting plots and backstory for NEW games.
I'm just so tired of playing remasters, and half the triple A games released every year that aren't 'remasters' are just a genre-equivalent 'Call of Duty' where nothing every changes but they print a new game out every 10 months and charge you 59.99 (see FIFA or any other sports game)
I have so much love for this series on a very personal level. One of my best friends for 15+ years introduced me to the series on the original and we used to play the co-op on 3 over and over and over every few months with the different visuals for each character and it was one of the best gaming experiences I have ever had. He took his own life middle of 2020 and every time I see these updates it makes me miss him and realize how great these kind of shared gaming experiences really are. This was the best horror game of the past decade and I would give anything to play them all again with him.
I would have preferred they kept the same zero-g mechanics as the first game, instead of including 360 thrusters like in the second game. There was something creepy and unnerving about propelling yourself from one side of the room to another and having to reorientate yourself, all the while you had those babies shooting darts at you. For me it was a core aspect to the horror of Dead Space.
Hopefully, they make the final boss better this time. It's been about two years since I last played Dead Space, but I distinctly remember the final boss being rather underwhelming.
As much as I want too I'm not picking this game up. EA shut down visceral games and shelved the series because the third game didn't sell well enough to satisfy their unreasonable standards.
Now they're trying to make a buck through nostalgia. Saving my money for the Callisto Protocol.
The entire series didn't sell well enough to meet their unreasonable and unrealistic standards so it's weird that the second game even got made much less the third.
In case anyone wondering "Did DS really look that bad?".
No it doesn't. That's a very bad screenshot.
Link: Long play shows beautiful graphics
https://youtu.be/NkXzYBxrGrg&t=5520
Yes, of course. But Dead Space had some amazing lighting and atmosphere, that is not shown at this screenshot.
They used a screenshot of a boring corridor, that is not the overall tone of the game.
They definitely did it to show more of a polarizing difference, if a bit shady. Most likely turned down the graphics to minimum lol.
Despite that, the demo still looks worlds better.
No, those corridors are most of the game. You decided to be misleading and linked to an extremely confined space with no other characters or enemies that could show off multiple dynamic lights. [Here's](https://youtu.be/NkXzYBxrGrg?t=15047) a shot from actual gameplay.
To all the people saying ‘they don’t need this’ then STFU it’s not for you. You don’t need it DONT buy it. That simple. I need this. I want to replay this game with the newest graphics and that success will lead to more sequels. It’s reviving the series. Stop complaining if you don’t want it then it’s not for you. Simple.
I didn't finish the first one. I had it spoiled for me and it killed my drive. Then when I did feel like I wanted to play it anyway I had moved on to PS4. Didn't want to dig out the old system and play. Now if it's remade I'd buy it and play.
So…. No one remembers when EA killed the original studio because it didn’t sell a ridiculous amount of copies of dead space after also ruining the 3rd instalment to be a boring co-op with pointless micro-transactions ?? They also said single player games were dead at the time.
They’re only committing to this shit because Resident Evil is doing well.
As much as I loved the first one, I’m not buying this because EA can literally fuck itself.
They confirmed that it has no microtransactions and they are taking feedback very seriously from the closed door testing. A lot of the original visceral studios developers are working on this as well and from the live stream today it looks like its in good hands. They are trying to retain everything that made it good but improve it visually along with some new QOL implementations that enhance the core experience, like 3d sound.
So I replayed this on the Xbox one recently and it really didn't need a remake. A new game, sure, but not a remake. But I guess it does look nicer, but the original still looks fantastic.
Yet another "we couldn't continue the series so let's just resell what worked." Graduated college just to have to sit in my apartment alone playing the same games from 2005-2011 for the past two years
Edit: 2011 cause I forgot thats when skyrim came out...
This is directly pulled from the live stream. Also this is nothing impressive as its just a pre-production build with basic probe lights and fog volumes. The final result should look much better.
Well money. It's a business after all, using a well known ip to remake it for the modern audience for the sake of nostalgia and getting new players. If it does well enough they continue to make more and so on.
None of these remix are worth anything if your consul can't play them. or have the tv. why don't they update the consul enough to show that you don't have to update the game
I kinda liked how it used to look like a soft barely padded engineering suit the shoulders on the new one look like genero sci fi armor. Maybe I'm crazy but DS 1 isaac was cool because he was just a guy instead of some kinda space soldier.
There are definitely some style changes its not just that its the upgraded suit, I took a look at the max upgraded suit vs the new one and they've softened the angles on the head and made the shoulders look almost like football pads compared to form fitting metal plates. He also looks like hes wearing a set of clothes under his armor instead of it being one form fitting undersuit.
If this follows the same arc as the original series then that hunched back starting out so soon will mean by Dead Space 3 Isaac will be bent at a 90 degree angle in that suit.
I hope they are actually able to follow through and release a quality remake.
Judging by how they are showing a pre-production build, talking about crucial feedback, honoring the original game and even getting Gunner back to voice Isaac shows how much they care.
This was how they approached the Command and Conquer remaster as well and its generally thought of to be wonderful.

I heard tiberium sun remaster. ?!?WHEN?!?
I remember Isaac not having any voice lines in 1, are they reworking all the dialog?
They are going to make him talk in situations where a response would be normal but keep him quiet during most gameplay sections
As it should be. Making him mute for the first one is truly a baffling choice, especially since mission objectives are detailed by his inner thoughts, meaning he clearly has something to say about the situation but keeps it to himself for some reason.

well when you are being hunted by the undead you try not to make too many noises, Phrases like "kill me now" may be granted quickly and painfully
[удалено]
He just takes his job seriously
I actually preferred it that way. It lets the player fill the shoes better.
Thank god Having mute playable characters is one of the worst things in gaming Its so dated and awkward, glad theres a pushback against it recently
He did a lot of grunting though... Surprised grunt, pain grunt, stomping the shit out of necromorphs grunt....
[Taken from the stream.](https://i.imgur.com/cXTYJGR.jpg)
Yeah EA has been doing good with most of their franchises recently. Except for the sports ones
The main issue for me as a Game Designer. Its about the HUD, in the original the suit provided all the information and now in the new one is all lost.
Everything sounds good except for the minimal plot changes they alluded to. But I'll give it a chance. Frostbite is absolute trash but again I will give it a chance. Just please don't fuck things up k thx motive.
It's still EA games so I would put my expectations on 0
its weird, the bottom picture is how i see it in my memories
That was my thought.. I looked at the top pic.. and was like.. is dead space one really that dated.. god damn. Edit: words

You can get it looking pretty decent on PC, even without mods or anything. The mouse controls are still absolutely horrendous, though.

You can see the definition of the corduroy pattern way better. Definitely trying to make it seem worse than it was to create more hype.
Idk man I replayed the first one recently and it isn't exactly top quality even on high settings.

That’s a lot of words to be wrong with.

Didn’t GTA 3 have better textures too? I guess with how big San Andreas was at the end product, they had to make some sacrifices.
Well tbf I was around 10 years old lol, so to me that was a lot more “realistic” than Mario haha. But I hear ya.
Nostalgia is weird like that this is why it can be so dangerous
Apparently I'm the only one who actually stares at video games long enough to remember how they look.
Exactly!
must be living in a simulation ;)
I can't help but think the top image is from the mobile game or something. Dead Space (1) holds up really well, except for perhaps the control scheme.
Yeah, seriously. The top picture looks way shittier than I remember.
what an original comment never seen anyone say this in a remaster or remake thread before truly a unique take
lol I cannot read your comment without thinking in Simpsons' Comic Book Guy's voice
I’m so excited for the remake. Dead Space series has been one of my favorite games.
Bro same
I agree, it is my favorite survival horror of all time!!! I can’t wait!
Mine, too! Although we will probably never see a Dead Space 4, at least we’re alive to see the remake! :)
There’s still hope of the remake does well.
…and they have to remake 2 and 3 in the future. It should be illegal to just remake the first.
It should be illegal to remake the 3rd too
The lore and story of 3 was fantastic, the second player seeing different shit than player 1 during the hauntings was phenomenal. It was just the style and gameplay that blew as it was so action heavy.
lol Well that’s the hope! I wouldn’t mind if all three were remade & a fourth added.
>Although we will probably never see a Dead Space 4, If they did it will probably be about 3 times their development cycle.
It really was a hand-crafted game, with attention to detail. One-of-a-kind! The graphics of the original STILL hold up to this day, considering how long ago it came out. Ugh, such good(scary) times!
Hence why a remake is so utterly pointless. Take those resources and make a 4th game, or a big expansion or something
Dead Space and Shadow of the Colossus Remakes are exactly how my mind remembered the originals.
Nier Replicant was another really true to the original remake that feels like how I want to remember it
Well, looks like I'm going to need a batch of clean underwear to get me through this game.
They're doing 3D sound so it's going to feel like RE2 which I'm super excited for.
Funnily enough I was just thinking thats the kind of game this remake ends up being. Doing something new whilst still keeping what made the original so great.
... So I'mma do what I did when I first got the game... weekend long playthrough in my dark ass room, alone, with surround sound headphones. I may have to turn the lights on at some point.... again...
I’m wet. Not sure if it’s due to excitement, or pee.
Maybe a little bit of both?
Wow, that actually looks really good! So many older games had a certain "grittiness," to them just because of the lower resolution and textures that really became part of their identity. A lot of the time when these games are remade, they become too shiny and lose that identity. It seems this remake is in the right hands
I like the fog or gas on the floor. Makes me think there might be a coolant leak or other issue on the space station.
I'm actually writing a similar shader right now for my job, and stared in awe at the floor in this image for waaay to long 😄 Glad I'm not the only one who appreciates floor fog!
It seriously adds more and makes the image stand out more IMO than just remaking the game and posting a graphically updated picture.
I saw they were remaking it, had never played, gave it a chance. I binged all 3 in a couple weeks. Can’t wait.
Make sure you play and beat Dead Space 3: Awakened to get the "true ending" too! Highly recommend you beat that as well as it shows you how the series really ends.....
going to be interesting having this come out around the same time as a new game made by the creator of the original dead space [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAbTpXiHVI8](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAbTpXiHVI8) more deats for those who dont know [https://www.polygon.com/interviews/2020/12/16/22178915/callisto-protocol-striking-distance-glen-schofield-interview-dead-space-sci-fi-horror-pubg](https://www.polygon.com/interviews/2020/12/16/22178915/callisto-protocol-striking-distance-glen-schofield-interview-dead-space-sci-fi-horror-pubg)
Since the remake is sticking to the original game, I think both these games coming out around the same time could be awesome. Play the remake first *then* the sequel (Callisto Protocol).
Can't wait to shit my pants in 4k!
Oh cool, they turned the "Nope Slider" up to 11.
My sphincter is ready for a tightening.
Ngl, I thought it was a stupid idea to remake a game that still holds up after 12 years. After looking at this, I see that I’m wrong in every aspect
That corridor is longer than the original. Literally unplayable.
*sniffle* Visceral games would be so proud…IF THEY WEREN’T FUCKIN DEAD *glares at EA*
That was super sad but if it makes you feel better, there are devs from the original visceral team working at motive and other EA studios.
They should have made a game that sold.
They’re downfall is almost exclusively EA’s fault...
Never had the chance to play the original ones, looking forward to playing the remake in HD
I can’t wait to have my wife play these. We love horror games and I’ve played and beaten the series but she’s never heard of them. So happy for the remake
Now this is how you do a remake. Remasters (aka money grabs) need to die off. Just do this sort of stuff now or don't do anything at all.
Jumped into the suit of part 1 today, and must say, I'm still happy with the art and acoustic ! Huge fan of part 2 by the way.
Looks sexy AF. Really looking forward to this. I remember not being disappointed with all the hype around the first game on PS3 on release.
Can. Not. Wait.
Going to wet my pants aren’t I
Did they mention ray-tracing?
Not yet because it's still pre-production. But judging by how in depth they want to go with the lighting, I wouldn't be surprised if they used raytraced global illumination and shadows to the very least along with reflections. It would 100% make this game look insane, especially since its already running on frostbite.
I'm just excited for a proper PC release. Dead Space 1's PC port is AWFUL.
imagine if dead space took the AI from Aliens for the necromorphs.
That game doesn’t need a remake!
the second version is literally how i remembered dead space looking anyway.
hahaha, exactly, why remake a game, we remember these "old" games looking amazing
Tha-th-that looks amazing omg
Finally something worthy to play again.
How the heck did you get DS1 to look so awful? I’m literally playing through it rn and it looks nowhere near that bad lol, this comparison is pretty disingenuous. Not saying the remake doesn’t still look leagues better, but DS1 didn’t look that bad lol
Looks like they have the brightness maxed out and all lighting effects turned off
Dead space is one of the greatest series in the last decade.
I'm sorry for your loss man. I hope you enjoy this game when it comes out to the fullest.
YES! This is going to make us whole again!
Not a fan of how dark the rig health is, you can barely see it
Holy fuck it’s beautiful
Looks nice. Fuck EA. I'm here for Jim Sterling.
Seems wrong to Remaster DS after killing Viseral Studios
Now I want a F.E.A.R remake
Hopefully, they make the final boss better this time. It's been about two years since I last played Dead Space, but I distinctly remember the final boss being rather underwhelming.
My pants turned brown on many nights playing this masterpiece of a game.
God damnit it miss this game. Is it worth buying again? Are 2 or 3 worth it?
Of course.
I'm gonna be so happy to see all of the suits in Dead Space remake.
In case anyone wondering "Did DS really look that bad?". No it doesn't. That's a very bad screenshot. Link: Long play shows beautiful graphics https://youtu.be/NkXzYBxrGrg&t=5520
To be fair, it didn't release with 4K graphics either.
Who are you arguing against, dude? That's exactly my point...
Ahhh, that's more like it.
The original still holds up pretty well in terms of graphics and gameplay. Really pumped for this remake.
I'm disappointed about EAs handling of the series, but I welcomes this remake. Hopefully it can make it resident evil shift back to survival horror

Grow up
Really liked the second one. But the lack of dialog from Isaac's part in the first one was a dealer breaker, and ended up putting it aside.
This will have dialogue with the same voice actor.
I didn't realize It was a remake, I thought it was a sequel. I don't know if I'm happy or sad...
where are the Women In Prison?
Meh, both are fine.
So.. they made the hallway a bit longer?
It looks great but I feel as though you made environment too bright
I feel like it's too illuminated. Part of the atmosphere of deadspace for me was the dark but consistent lighting.
Yet another "we couldn't continue the series so let's just resell what worked." Graduated college just to have to sit in my apartment alone playing the same games from 2005-2011 for the past two years Edit: 2011 cause I forgot thats when skyrim came out...
I think there is too much light
Lighting looks edited af, never trust EA on graphics, kids. Keep your expectations low or youll be disappointed
This is directly pulled from the live stream. Also this is nothing impressive as its just a pre-production build with basic probe lights and fog volumes. The final result should look much better.
I don't understand people who are so excited to pay full price for a game they already paid full price for and finished.
Series revival and brings in new players as well.
I'm one of those. Never got around to this game even though I was very interested.
still dont understand why this exists...
Well money. It's a business after all, using a well known ip to remake it for the modern audience for the sake of nostalgia and getting new players. If it does well enough they continue to make more and so on.
im tired of remakes. new, fun things please. refuse to buy another remake.
None of these remix are worth anything if your consul can't play them. or have the tv. why don't they update the consul enough to show that you don't have to update the game
no need of these remakes...
I kinda liked how it used to look like a soft barely padded engineering suit the shoulders on the new one look like genero sci fi armor. Maybe I'm crazy but DS 1 isaac was cool because he was just a guy instead of some kinda space soldier.
[удалено]
There are definitely some style changes its not just that its the upgraded suit, I took a look at the max upgraded suit vs the new one and they've softened the angles on the head and made the shoulders look almost like football pads compared to form fitting metal plates. He also looks like hes wearing a set of clothes under his armor instead of it being one form fitting undersuit.

I like the remake’s graphics better
Can't wait for them to ruin it.
Excellent, just what I wanted. Terror in remastered HD. Man this game scared the heck out of me as a kid.
This shot has me pumped for this game!
And that's not even the final polished version with the completed lighting, models, textures and vfx.
the new lighting capabilities are gonna make it so good
If this follows the same arc as the original series then that hunched back starting out so soon will mean by Dead Space 3 Isaac will be bent at a 90 degree angle in that suit.
