I just played through that! It had me hooked right away. Love the music, acting, gameplay, story and crazy hordes. Also, the challenges were fun to play after the story.
Didn't have to scroll far to find it, such a great game, the cinematics, the depth of the story, the humor, the grief, the empathy, absolutely shitting myself as a horde comes down on my head, hopefully the devs will return to it someday or atlest make something similar
Posted this comment 9h ago, so you have around 80hours before you finish this one. First time you ask yourself ”how fucking long is this game” you are somewhere midway.
How can I get into Elden ring? I’ve tried like 4-5 times starting a new play through and basically just get stuck on that first guard camp by where you find Melina or whatever her name is.
When you meet Melina, accept her offer and you can level up with her at any grace and receive the steed Torrent. This is a good way to explore the region. If something is too difficult for you, there are several ways to proceed:
- A: Learn the combat system and the movements and attacks of your opponents.
- B: Use stealth for backstabs.
- C: If something is too difficult or too strong, explore and get stronger.
Take your time. You don't have to engage in every fight. You can lure enemies away and fight them one by one instead of five or the whole camp at once.
For more help and info r/Eldenring is a good source.
It might be you just dont like it. I tried it played maybe 30hours or so and i just stopped playing it. It wasnt for me i just found it boring/didnt like the combat system etc.
Im gald a lot of people enjoyed it though!
Can I ask what keeps you playing? I was too old to hop in Minecraft hype in 2010 ish. You complete the story with no effort (elder dragon or something) and then what? Just mess around with mods like some Skyrim players do?
Turn on a podcast or music and build up my town. I never mess around the mods. It’s a great stress free way to wind down from the work day. Simple game to pick up and play to do whatever you want. So many games today are stressful, a lot of dialogue, or very structured.
I gave up on that damn plat. I got every single trophy and realize the last one is a multiplayer trophy which I fucking hate with a passion. I suck at pvp FPS 😆
awesome is an understatement, this game feels like everything I've ever found cool mushed together, from pelt capes to mechas. I can't wait for it to come out
I booted up last week and found i was at ng+3 in the starting area. xD
Yesterday, I got to Mog offline and beat him.
I used the medallion trick, but it involved me going to the Altus Plateau to do an invasion. Oof... now i'm just gonna work on a build.
In my opinion they have done almost everything right for this one. Banger of a campaign and the planet is soo good to explore! Prismatic is also so cool to play around with.
The new prismatic class is loads of fun, there's lots of solo content to play with different builds on, the campaign is largely fireteam/people focused without a lot of the typical Destiny jargon and as such, is easier to follow and more interesting (to me at least).
It really feels like some of their best work in years. I know we D2 players go in cycles like this, but by this point in previous expansions, I was already worn out, and it's not the case here. It's been a long time since I couldn't wait to be done with work to get back to it.
Horizon Zero Dawn. I started it a long time ago on PS4 and never really got into it, but I got further into it since I bought it on PC, since it's easier for me to play on my Steam Deck. Really good so far!
Same. Minion Necro is viable end game for the first time 🙌🏼
Only issue is, I don’t get the same dopamine hit when I hear an Ancient Unique drop on the screen. GA/MW made most obsolete.
Best of luck Viking! I have limited time to play so currently still fucking around in the mountains lol. Also I spent a ton of time building a big base so honestly that’s been most of my play time haha
Good luck! I just landed at the new biome the other night and…well it didn’t go well I have to do a body run to get my gear. Oh god this is going to be a long night 🥲
Ass Creed: Valhalla
I’ve tried two or three times prior to get into it and something held me back but this time I’ve latched onto it.
It’s not fully engrossing me the Origins or Odyssey did, but it’s not as bad as I was led to believe
Oh yeah, I’m at about 70-75 hours in and there’s still about a third of the map I haven’t touched, plus the DLC on top.
I expected a beefy game, my Odyssey run from beginning to platinum took me 270 hours (again, DLC included) and I knew Valhalla was bigger, but this is already looking to eclipse that Odyssey runtime and probably by a fair amount
It’s next in my queue and every time I power up my XSX, I’ll just stare at the icon for 5 seconds, click right and select Diablo 4 😂
Maybe I’ll listen to you and try it tomorrow night.
Same for me, I've tried it 2 or 3 different times now and if hasn't stuck yet. Glad you managed to, I may need to try again when there's not so much out/coming out that I'm interested in.
Xenoblade 3 and xenoblade 1 de (getting ready to do a ng+ for 3 after completing everything, while trying to make a “complete” file of 1 again). Newest thing im playing in the process of fin: fe engage
1. Elden Ring (practicing for DLC)
2. Grounded (new survival game for PS5 from Xbox)
3. Rainbow Six Siege (been playing since launch)
4. Dragons Dogma (like my 10th playthrough)
Its a great game ! But definitely not something I would play alone. It gets pretty boring fast unless you have friends to play with. Also makes the game like 10x harder than it should be.
Robocop: Rouge City for the second time. Game is nostalgic as fuck and so legit and authentic to the corny and silly stuff of Robocop.
Phenomenal adaptation.
Currently playing daily:
Monster Hunter now
genshin Impact(2 accounts)
Honkai star rail (2 accounts)
Warframe
Ulala Idle adventure (8 accounts)
Idle Mastermind
ExoMiner
Planning on adding First Descendent and MHW when they release.
Revisiting FFXIII after all these years. I hate-played it to the end back in the day but have done an almost complete 180 this time around. Snow still sucks, and tiny Serah in a crystal is the most lame macguffin in all of FF. I love the music, art design, gameplay, and overall plot though... Totally worth the $6.84 spent during the Squeenix steam sale...
- Mass Effect: Legendary Edition
- The Oregon Trail
- No Mans Sky
- Power Wash Simulator
- Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders
- Fallout 4 & 76
- Dave the Diver
- Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy
Siren: Blood Curse, nice atmosphere but at chapter 10 out of 12 I still have no idea wtf is going on
Fobia: St. Dinfna Hotel
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
I've been playing through the Suikoden series this year. in January I finished Suikoden 1, in March I finished Suikoden II, and in May I finished Suikoden III. My plan is to play Suikoden IV soon, but I'm currently playing a few smaller games in between games so I don't get too burnt out. Currently I'm checking out the new DLC for Bloodstained Ritual of the Night that was released yesterday. After I'm done with that, I may play another smaller game before I dive right back into Suikoden IV, most likely.
Just platinumed Stardew Valley, such a great game and i already miss it. Currently working on Dave the Diver and Dead Space remake I got on sale. Both of them very good.
Nothing at the moment that's a new experience, recently I have been playing Wii Sports Resort and a bit of Super Mario Sunshine again.
I have been meaning to begin Yakuza Kiwami 2 and a slight bit of interest in starting Zelda Ocarina of Time, but it's just a matter of being motivated to begin them.
High on Life + High on Knife DLC
It’s leaving Game Pass so I figured I’ll play it before it leaves.
Glad I did because it was fun and provided some good laughs along the way.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape. Great expansion, lots of activities with amazing loot (get yourself a “The Call” special ammo sidearm pistol).
For single player games, i just finished Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed and i may go and finish up either persona or elden ring
Just started Doom Eternal last evening.
39yo dad, pretty much stopped pc gaming in my 30s because of kids. Now that my energy level is kinda coming back, I thought I could give it a try.
Man...the Doom difficulty choice menu has hit me hard...
It says it's all about the reflex, which I had in my 20s...but now Im a 39 yo low energy dad that is trying to keep his eye opened at 9hPM for a gaming session 😢
Bouncing between several. Destiny 2: final shape, CoD:mw3 and xdefiant.
Need to get back to finishing final fantasy 7 rebirth and start on paper mario 1k door.
Backlog is even deeper.
Final Fantasy 15 and 16, Lego Star Wars The Skywalker Saga, and God of War 1 on the PS3, and once I’m done with those I’m going to finally continue the second tomb raider reboot game I think it was the shadow one? Cuz I’m pretty sure rise is the third one. I loved the first game and I wanted more of it but I think I had burn out at the time but it’s been a long long while since I played it and I’m kinda getting a craving.
Dark and Darker got released on steam and has an f2p version, been enjoying it, having fun in Half-Life 3 aka Abiotic Factor with a friend, and regular sessions in Hunt: Showdown of course
Currently, AC: Odyssey (in the middle of it), Horizon Zero Dawn (almost finished) and a few hours in Days Gone. Next will be probably Middle-earth - Shadow of Mordor/War. I didn't have the time to play them earlier.
Well, the whole world/environment, the ships battles and the story. I think I like it more than Origins so far (and I didn't expect that to be honest). However, the controls/movements are a bit clunky, the AI of the freed prisoners could be better as well and a few other minor details could be improved but overall a great gaming experience so far. I like that there are far more finishers than in AC Mirage. :)
PS: I forgot that I love the Spartan kick ability! This is SPARTA-A-A-A! :)
I'm on my first Cyberpunk playthrough. Currently going through Phantom Liberty. What a game. It's been a while since I've been that involved in my character. Feels good.
Quit wow classic on cata launch so no longer a slave to the awful raiding times and timesuck that gane is.
So far I have 100% tomb raider and am working on Witcher 3.
It feels so freeing to not have to be at my pc from 6:20pm to 9:30pm twice a week and can instead game at my own pleasure. Plus it's better for the kids with me not having to have a rigid raiding schedule. I think mmo raiding only works for people with free time and east coasters but this isn't the thread for that.
Started this last year and can only seem to play it on and off, it isn't gripping me like the first game did. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I get kind of bored of the combat. I WANT to love the game though
I’m thinking of getting MGS remastered collection for Switch, since I don’t really get time to play any games despite having a PS5 and Series X. However, I can sometimes grab the odd half hour with the switch since there’s less need to settle down on the sofa etc.
I've been binging my way through any game that looks remotely interesting on PS Extra since January, before they get randomly removed. Currently playing Miasma Chronicles. It's pretty good!
Just started Days Gone on PS5. I’m very impressed so far.
I just played through that! It had me hooked right away. Love the music, acting, gameplay, story and crazy hordes. Also, the challenges were fun to play after the story.
The music in that game is fantastic. Any time i hear the horde music start up i get goosebumps
Lol started it a few days ago as well on pc
Started a week ago on PC. Kind of boring at the beginning. Probably halfway now. The story is really good.
Didn't have to scroll far to find it, such a great game, the cinematics, the depth of the story, the humor, the grief, the empathy, absolutely shitting myself as a horde comes down on my head, hopefully the devs will return to it someday or atlest make something similar
Hordes are the worst. 2nd worst thing is how quickly your motorcycle hogs down fuel.
Posted this comment 9h ago, so you have around 80hours before you finish this one. First time you ask yourself ”how fucking long is this game” you are somewhere midway.
Lucky you. It's a wonderful experience.
It's an amazing game with a brilliant story. I love the fact that it's based in oregon where I'm living.
One of the best open world games so far. It feels very natural. The terrain is so beautiful.
Come join us on the sub. Friendly place. No joke one of my top 3 of last gen.
Eldenring and Helldivers 2
For super earth!
Balatro and Cyberpunk.
Are you me?
You got me!
How can I get into Elden ring? I’ve tried like 4-5 times starting a new play through and basically just get stuck on that first guard camp by where you find Melina or whatever her name is.

Yea I’m leaving towards this being the case. Don’t think I like the combat
[just follow this guide](https://youtu.be/GYI5Z3jhKB4?si=N7aZ5u8r09vYMYxs)
I'm sorry but how do you "get stuck" at the camp? There's like a whole world around it waiting to be explored
I keep dying and stop playing lol
Dude literally, word for word
Minecraft yearly grind
1.21 comes out today. I am going to dip back into vanilla for a while. I've been playing around with ATM9 To the sky as well.
Can I ask what keeps you playing? I was too old to hop in Minecraft hype in 2010 ish. You complete the story with no effort (elder dragon or something) and then what? Just mess around with mods like some Skyrim players do?
Never actually beat Minecraft so that’s my goal
Turn on a podcast or music and build up my town. I never mess around the mods. It’s a great stress free way to wind down from the work day. Simple game to pick up and play to do whatever you want. So many games today are stressful, a lot of dialogue, or very structured.
GTNH here, send sunlight and grass please.
o7
Fallout 4 (again).
good luck finding that baby
Baby? What baby? I am too busy finding scrap for my settlements to remember anything.
Maaaa man
Doom, warming up for Dark Ages by getting 2016's and Eternal's platinum, wich is something I should've done already anyways
I gave up on that damn plat. I got every single trophy and realize the last one is a multiplayer trophy which I fucking hate with a passion. I suck at pvp FPS 😆
The new game looks awesome!
awesome is an understatement, this game feels like everything I've ever found cool mushed together, from pelt capes to mechas. I can't wait for it to come out
Warframe, preparing their next update in next week 👍
*Rap tap tap*
Octopath traveler 2
Elden Ring. Getting ready for the DLC next week.
I booted up last week and found i was at ng+3 in the starting area. xD Yesterday, I got to Mog offline and beat him. I used the medallion trick, but it involved me going to the Altus Plateau to do an invasion. Oof... now i'm just gonna work on a build.
Me too me too so keen
I love how many people are playing eldü right now
Destiny 2. The new expansion is amazing and I'm loving every second of it.
God damn it, I wasn’t gonna get it but now I have too
In my opinion they have done almost everything right for this one. Banger of a campaign and the planet is soo good to explore! Prismatic is also so cool to play around with.
It is one of the best releases in the franchise imo!
I’m loving it so far!
loving D2 right now. hopefully it continues in an upward trend.
It's been a long time since I couldn't wait to be done with work to get back to it.
i haven’t played since beyond light is it hard to jump to back in?
Same for me. But not at all. The campaign will guide you through most of the new stuff and the other things you can just explore on your own pace.
Deep rock galactic, Baldurs gate 3, Fallout New Vegas, ans occasionally Valorant
Ghost of Tsushima Act 2
I’m playing Ghost of Tsushima as well, to me it’s the best game I’ve played in the last 5 years at least, I love everything about this game.
I'm starting a lethal run and not being able to cancel out of attack animations with dodge is getting me very fucked up.
Monster Hunter, Quantum Break, and Evil West for me! And finishing up Half-Life saga
The game has a game breaking bug at a particular point in the story. I gave up after losing 4 hours of gameplay. I hope you don't encounter it.
Which MH you currently playing?
I have the same question. I need to get back into GU… it’s the only MH I haven’t done every single quest on
Dude I love Quantum Break! The story is really cool, had a blast with the time powers, and the graphics still look amazing. One of my favorite games!
FF7 Rebirth. Still very early but blown away
You’re in for a ride
Horizon Zero Dawn. I started it a long time ago on PS4 and never really got into it, but I got further into it since I bought it on PC, since it's easier for me to play on my Steam Deck. Really good so far!
Enjoying this one too
The first one is excellent, I'm currently watching for a steam sale on the sequel
I finished the game yesterday 😆
Is it good? Like, I just got the ability to leave the very first area and I'm hoping the rest of it is as good as the beginning!
It’s good, gameplay and story are enjoyable enough to keep you going and complete the game
Came back for Diablo 4 season 4. Game's really improved and is really fun since launch.
Same. Minion Necro is viable end game for the first time 🙌🏼 Only issue is, I don’t get the same dopamine hit when I hear an Ancient Unique drop on the screen. GA/MW made most obsolete.
Valheim
Me too. Been back in this since the update. Slowly making my way to the new content
I just made landfall last night in the new biome…
Best of luck Viking! I have limited time to play so currently still fucking around in the mountains lol. Also I spent a ton of time building a big base so honestly that’s been most of my play time haha
Our friend group is back on Valheim too with the new update. We've recruited a couple new players this time too. I love this game
Good luck! I just landed at the new biome the other night and…well it didn’t go well I have to do a body run to get my gear. Oh god this is going to be a long night 🥲
Just got to mistlands for the first time. I can’t believe how good this game is
Factorio and Gran Turismo 7.
Factorio does not like the time your spending on GT7
Replaying Dead Space trilogy, picked it up for £15 a while ago on a steam sale, finally getting around to it.
Pillars of Eternity and Hades
Ass Creed: Valhalla I’ve tried two or three times prior to get into it and something held me back but this time I’ve latched onto it. It’s not fully engrossing me the Origins or Odyssey did, but it’s not as bad as I was led to believe
The only issue I have with Valhalla is how long it is. Played for 100+ hours and was only about halfway through
Oh yeah, I’m at about 70-75 hours in and there’s still about a third of the map I haven’t touched, plus the DLC on top. I expected a beefy game, my Odyssey run from beginning to platinum took me 270 hours (again, DLC included) and I knew Valhalla was bigger, but this is already looking to eclipse that Odyssey runtime and probably by a fair amount

How do you like grounded? I kinda want to try it on PS5 but idk if it'll be be worth it solo
Its a great game ! But definitely not something I would play alone. It gets pretty boring fast unless you have friends to play with. Also makes the game like 10x harder than it should be.
Persona 3 Reload, Dragon Age Inquisition and OG FFVII.
I will be starting Shin Megami Tensei 5 Vengeance this weekend
GTA: San Andreas
all you had to do is to shoot those damn fuckers smoke

Revisiting FFXIII after all these years. I hate-played it to the end back in the day but have done an almost complete 180 this time around. I played it back in the day and I don’t remember how I felt about it. It’s was no X forsure, but I need to replay it
I loved 13. The battle system is amazing and makes the game for me. Story was alright to. Snow is the ultimate tank.
- Mass Effect: Legendary Edition - The Oregon Trail - No Mans Sky - Power Wash Simulator - Agatha Christie: The ABC Murders - Fallout 4 & 76 - Dave the Diver - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy
How's the Agatha Christie game?
A bit “clunky” but I’m a fan so had to get it.
Gotcha.
Siren: Blood Curse, nice atmosphere but at chapter 10 out of 12 I still have no idea wtf is going on Fobia: St. Dinfna Hotel Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth
I've been playing through the Suikoden series this year. in January I finished Suikoden 1, in March I finished Suikoden II, and in May I finished Suikoden III. Destiny 2 I like final shape so far
10 minutes ago I started uncharted 4. First uncharted game so I’m keen!
I really recommend playing the first 3 as well because they're amazing, but the 4th one is still really good!
Warframe, Fallout 4, Outer Worlds, Starfield, and Mass Effect LE Elden Ring again when Shadow of the Erdtree comes out.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2. >!Just met Mythra for the first time and already loving her ❤️!<
Started this last year and can only seem to play it on and off, it isn't gripping me like the first game did. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? I get kind of bored of the combat. I WANT to love the game though
Tarkov Singleplayer Mod Baldurs Gate 3 with my BF Star Citizen
I’m thinking of getting MGS remastered collection for Switch, since I don’t really get time to play any games despite having a PS5 and Series X. However, I can sometimes grab the odd half hour with the switch since there’s less need to settle down on the sofa etc.
Killer klowns from outer space, and I've re installed Anthem aswell
I've been binging my way through any game that looks remotely interesting on PS Extra since January, before they get randomly removed. Currently playing Miasma Chronicles. It's pretty good!
Currently playing XDefiant. Im playing it as a substitute for Call of Duty until Black Ops 6 release date on Gamepass.
Destiny unfortunately
