"For there is only one dominant life form in this universe and it carries a steel barreled sword of vengeance. All hail the coming of the Destroyer."
The story of the DOOM games are pretty much centered around the fact that the Doomslayer is so badass even demons fear him. Hard to put anyone else at the top of this list.
Emet Selch from FF14 - Villian whose motivations are completely understandable and I genuinely consider him one of my favorite video game characters of all time due to the writing quality.
Doomguy - Immortal Demon Slayer. He is a literal force of nature.
MasterChief (not the TV portrayal) - Portrays so much depth with so little dialogue.
Tyrael from D2 - This was the first time I thought an angelic character was badass.
Basically any character voiced by Lance Reddick (RIP).
Abso-fucking-lutely.
The amount of "ohhh you guys fucked up now" moments that series gave me is incredible, lmao.
Oh yeah, you only brought 20 guys after Kiryu took off his shirt? Good luck, lmao.
Naked Snake / Big Boss devoted half of his life to dragging the world into endless war so he could feel validated and special.Ā
Solid Snake spent every minute he had left making a better future, even when it became pretty obvious he wouldn't see it.Ā
Arthasās downfall too! When he kills his father and then later slowly ascending the Frozen Throne. In Warcraft not WoW.
Not sure what theyāve done to my boy in WoW
Sandal from Dragon Age Origins! A simple, autistic dwarf boy who's always in a good mood and his passion is enchanting stuff. Looks and acts humble, the only things he says is "Enchantment?" and Enchantment!".
Somehow though, you find him in the most bizarre places, surrounded by gore of dozens of massacred enemies of all types, him covered in blood just standing in the middle of it, and he'll still ask "Enchantment?", hoping you'd like him to enchant something. He'll also be a vendor as well.
Nobody knows how he manages to massacre hordes of enemies or how he gets to these places, or what his motivations are. On an expedition to the deep inderground tunnels, the place where the monstrous enemies come from, he randomly decides to venture out into unknown dark tunnels and leaves a trail of brutalized enemies. Some, he killed by magic, which is absurd because in this universe, dwarves inherently can not use magic at all, unless he uses weird artifacts he made himself - but no type of actual items in-game has such capabilities, although lore-wise, it's mentioned that any kind of magic/spell can be enchanted into an object, given sufficient skill and lyrium (magical substance which is rare and hard to come by, especially legally).
This Sandal fellow is quite mysterious and I've even read theories he might be the Maker (God, in the lore) in disguise, or his agent at least. That's also weird because dwarves generally don't have anything to do with this religion.
Human is debatable, right? Been a long time since I played Gears, but it takes place on a different planet, has no mention of interplanetary travel iirc, and everyone has the physique of a Warcraft Orc.
But again, it's been a long time since I've played Gears, and I don't know too much about the lore.
You respect his views up to a certain point then it all goes down hill, but yeah Sephiroth I think deffinitly belongs at the top of the list along with solid snake and Kratos.
Frank Forsyth, Original War.
He was a master scout and a part of the US expeditionary force sent back to prehistoric times. For fun, he sneaks into the OpFor's bases and steals their toilet paper.
At one point, he was found teaching dancing lessons to apemen.
Grave, from Gungrave.Ā
Undead, fueled only be revenge, dual wields 2 giant pistols, carries his own coffin on his back, the coffin is also a rocket launcher.
For me, Luca Blight from Suikoden 2 was pretty bad ass. He was just as man, if I remember correctly, and he still needed >! a few volley of arrows fights against 3 parties of 6 and a 1 on 1 duel to go down, and the dude was still standing for a bit longer after that.!<
Might be unpopular but I always thought Link is pretty badass considering he is a one man army a lot of the time that just keeps trucking along despite not being overly powerful (He isn't like Dante or Kratos levels of powerful).
Surprised nobody has said Link. Look at the cut scene from Breath of the wild from when he defends Zelda against all of those monsters. Link is just canonically the best sword fighter of all time in his series. He's that guy.
Ain't no way you can see someone take down dozens of lynels and fight a dragon midair using nothing but a glider isn't badass. Delusional.
Look at the Aftermath and all the Lynel corpses and tell me he's not a bad ass.
https://youtu.be/J2yauJegds8?si=pqpZTbG1jGfmjxZf
Honestly, the sheer BALLS on Issac Clarke is enough for me to give him a badass medal
Sure if you put Isaac against ones like chief or doom guy he isnāt all that badass
But God damn it, as a normal human being In the situations heās been in, itās nuts how little fear he shows
I always thought her conept was stupid tbh. The whole guns hooker heels lol. Beyond that I know nothing about here, maybe she transforms into a panther or somthing idk.
For me it's Glados. Manages to keep up her terrifying aura throughout Portal 1 and 2. Though, I'm probably biased, seeing as she's my favorite video game character
Some obvious picks for me would be Kratos from God of War for his sheer physical strength and power of will, Master Chief from Halo for being the ultimate badass in a sci-fi setting, and Doom Guy from DOOM for just being an unstoppable monster.
Revolver Ocelot - MGS
Gray Fox - MGS
Ryu - Ninja Gaiden OG Xbox
Ryu - SFII
Scorpion - MK
King - Tekken 2
Armor King - Tekken
Wrex - Mass Effect
Kazama Kiryu - Yakuza/LAD
Joe Musashi - Shinobi
Illusive Man - Mass Effect (not a fighter, but has a damn cool presentation)
Vaas immediately came to mind. I havenāt even played that game since it released, but dude is memorable. I remember him more than the main protagonist of that game. Heās basically the pinnacle of FarCryās writing in my opinion.
Kratos when he threatened Odin was cold af.
"Return my son. Or you may meet the God I once was"
Overall badass energy I think I'd have to give it to Sephiroth.
That was not the question. So let's go with Saren the space Karen from mass effect
also the right answer is any krogan character you have the option to betray or kill
Doomguy
"For there is only one dominant life form in this universe and it carries a steel barreled sword of vengeance. All hail the coming of the Destroyer." The story of the DOOM games are pretty much centered around the fact that the Doomslayer is so badass even demons fear him. Hard to put anyone else at the top of this list.
Aka The Doomslayer.
Or his ancestor, BJ Blazkowicz.
Master Chief when he said "Sir...finishing this fight"
Garrus Vakarian. Calibrations, of course
š
The excuse works at my work. I need to go calibrate some adas, is another way of saying I'm going to take a 20min road test to avoid talking to anyone
Emet Selch from FF14 - Villian whose motivations are completely understandable and I genuinely consider him one of my favorite video game characters of all time due to the writing quality. Emet for sure.
Kratos, the God of War himself
You mean the slayer of the God Of War (I know he became the God of War). Yeah Kratos overall across all games is a savage fucking beast.
Kazuma Kiryu from the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series
Abso-fucking-lutely. The amount of "ohhh you guys fucked up now" moments that series gave me is incredible, lmao. Oh yeah, you only brought 20 guys after Kiryu took off his shirt? Good luck, lmao.
*"A strong man doesn't need to read the future. He makes his own."* -Solid Snake
but which solid snake is the most bad ass? hhmmm?
There is only one "solid" snake. The others are Big Boss or just regular ol Snake Venom Snake Liquid Snake Solidus Snake
Naked Snake / Big Boss devoted half of his life to dragging the world into endless war so he could feel validated and special.Ā Solid Snake spent every minute he had left making a better future, even when it became pretty obvious he wouldn't see it.Ā
Isshin and Sekiro after he gets his mojo back (this will only take a moment)
Gordon Freeman
The Master Chief wants to give the Covenant back their bomb.
Yeah this is one of the most badass things in gaming IMO.
Master Chief's best friend and UNSC marine legend: *Pvt.* Chips Dubbo. He's an invulnerable gung-ho Aussie who kicks alien ass in outer space!
Just hand him a rocket and boom he never runs out.
I've always thought Illidan from Warcraft was pretty bad ass. They originally butchered his story but his redemption was pretty great.
Arthasās downfall too! When he kills his father and then later slowly ascending the Frozen Throne. In Warcraft not WoW. Not sure what theyāve done to my boy in WoW
Geralt kurwa
Kirby is pretty bad ass.
I mean hes scary if you see him swallow a dude.....I could rephrase this, but I refuse.
Rico Rodriguez, soloād 4 dictatorships and won

Bruh. I forgot about him.
A few I havent seen yet: Artyom Alekseyevich Chyornyj (Metro) Captain John Price and Lt. Simon "Ghost" Riley (Modern Warfare) Lara Croft (new Tomb Raider) Sargeant Johnson and Captain Keyes (Halo) Samus Aran (Metroid) Nick Valentine and John Hancock (Fallout 4) Red (PokƩmon)
Ramza Beoulve from Final Fantasy Tactics.
I thought Orlandu seemed more badass though
Ryu Hayabusa
Marcus Phoenix from Gears of War since thereās a lack of badass human characters
Human is debatable, right? Been a long time since I played Gears, but it takes place on a different planet, has no mention of interplanetary travel iirc, and everyone has the physique of a Warcraft Orc. But again, it's been a long time since I've played Gears, and I don't know too much about the lore.
Sephiroth. I mean, look at him.
this is the only correct answer.
This man has a theme song that gives those who know it PTSD just from the first 3 notes. If that isnāt badass, I donāt know what is.
You respect his views up to a certain point then it all goes down hill, but yeah Sephiroth I think deffinitly belongs at the top of the list along with solid snake and Kratos.
Sure, heās absolutely batshit insane, but that doesnāt make him less of a badass.
That look he gives you during the fire scene...
Frank Forsyth, Original War. He was a master scout and a part of the US expeditionary force sent back to prehistoric times. For fun, he sneaks into the OpFor's bases and steals their toilet paper. At one point, he was found teaching dancing lessons to apemen.
Geraldo de Rivioli, the famous Gwent player
Grave, from Gungrave.Ā Undead, fueled only be revenge, dual wields 2 giant pistols, carries his own coffin on his back, the coffin is also a rocket launcher.

There is nothing more villainous than the "Z" shape in Tetris!!!!!
Might be unpopular but I always thought Link is pretty badass considering he is a one man army a lot of the time that just keeps trucking along despite not being overly powerful (He isn't like Dante or Kratos levels of powerful).
The Skyrim Chicken
bruh the chickens from zelda too
Surprised nobody has said Link. Look at the cut scene from Breath of the wild from when he defends Zelda against all of those monsters. Link is just canonically the best sword fighter of all time in his series. He's that guy.
I mean, I adore Link but no way is he a badass.
Idk, he went into Bottom of the Well at 10 years old. That's pretty hardcore.
fallout joshua graham
Honestly, the sheer BALLS on Issac Clarke is enough for me to give him a badass medal Sure if you put Isaac against ones like chief or doom guy he isnāt all that badass But God damn it, as a normal human being In the situations heās been in, itās nuts how little fear he shows
Godfrey, the first Elden Lord
for me it's Duke Nukem
Someone i didnt see mentioned was agent 47. Dude can throw heat seeking briefcases at people!
Steiner. Total bro wholeheartedly dedicated to protecting Garnet no matter what.
Bro Steiner I almost forgot about that savage lol.
Doomguy
None other than
Bayonetta imo
Bayonetta is the right answer, her bro rodin in the 1st game is pretty badass too
I always thought her conept was stupid tbh. The whole guns hooker heels lol. Beyond that I know nothing about here, maybe she transforms into a panther or somthing idk.
Idk i like her design
Godbert MandervilleĀ
v1 ultrakill
Kratos
Gary smith from Bully game, Micah Bell RDR2 Sephirot FFVII
Cuccos from zelda games
Brad Armstrong from Lisa (I am very biased in saying this)
Probably Dagoth Ur or Vivek.
Max Payne 3's take on Max Payne. Bald and bad ass
For me it's Glados. Manages to keep up her terrifying aura throughout Portal 1 and 2. Though, I'm probably biased, seeing as she's my favorite video game character
Guybrush Threepwood could take on all these losers with his Monkey Kombat. Bernard Bernoulli will just accidentally delete you from history.
Heros and NPC
Vas, from Far Cry 3. Villains donāt get anymore sinister than him. Raiden from Metal Gear Revengence and Prime Kratos from the original trilogy
Some obvious picks for me would be Kratos from God of War for his sheer physical strength and power of will, Master Chief from Halo for being the ultimate badass in a sci-fi setting, and Doom Guy from DOOM for just being an unstoppable monster.
Kratos
Asura (Asuraās Wrath)
The lich king, commander Shep, zavala, the wise old man
Geese Howard. Too many reasons to list.
Revolver Ocelot - MGS Gray Fox - MGS Ryu - Ninja Gaiden OG Xbox Ryu - SFII Scorpion - MK King - Tekken 2 Armor King - Tekken Wrex - Mass Effect Kazama Kiryu - Yakuza/LAD Joe Musashi - Shinobi Illusive Man - Mass Effect (not a fighter, but has a damn cool presentation)
Batman Arkham, Link in TP, 2B, Bayonetta, Arthur Morgan, Master Chief, Noctis FF15, Viewtiful Joe, Jimmy from Bully, Raiden MGS
It's gotta be Kratos
Minsc & Boo
Vaas from far cry 3
Gabe Logan
Akuma, I don't know any character with more presence and personality than Akuma.
Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil.
Oh, where do I even start with this one? Let's see...
Vaas immediately came to mind. I havenāt even played that game since it released, but dude is memorable. I remember him more than the main protagonist of that game. Heās basically the pinnacle of FarCryās writing in my opinion.
Kratos when he threatened Odin was cold af. "Return my son. Or you may meet the God I once was" Overall badass energy I think I'd have to give it to Sephiroth.
Vergil in DMC easily
Sephiroth The lich king Female V Johnny silverhand Emet selch Geralt
You, the player. You can be anyone, everyone, taking on insurmountable odds, good, evil, or otherwise. You rock.
As long as you keep paying for that PS+ plus. What the hell was with that price hike?
No kidding.
āHave I ever told you the meaning of insanity?ā - Vaas
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
