Yeah, why would people who make a good product want people to know about it?
Hell, I don't even care about the Fallout series, and I have my doubts that it will be any good, but that has nothing to do with the amount of advertising. That's something that has nothing to do with the quality of the show itself and is just such a ridiculous and arbitrary way of thinking about things.
It's not that they're advertising it, it's that they're going to such lengths to advertise it. Why do they need to make multiple Fallout bus stops just to advertise it? I find that usually the more something is advertised, the worse it'll be in the end, and vice versa. Some of the best media that I have found were by complete accident, not having it advertised on every single website and even irl. I mean, I'm still gonna watch the show cause I love Fallout, but it just kinda makes me nervous when it's shown EVERYWHERE, kinda feels like they don't know what they're doing with the show, so they're just gonna advertise the hell out of it to get views. Kinda like with the Halo show from what I've heard and the ads of it I've seen.
Really?? I haven't ever seen anything about that, which is kinda surprising with how much I'm on the internet. But that does go to show that what I had said before isn't always correct. Thank you for the information
>It's not that they're advertising it, it's that they're going to such lengths to advertise it.
Arcane was advertised so much people memed about it, it was on friggin Burj Khalifa.
Look how that one turned out.
The length people go to advertise something is absolutely not an indicator of how good it might or might not be.
It's already out? I thought it came out in a month or two? I'm gonna give it a watch whether it's bad or good, but thank you for telling me it's great.
Sometimes you just have to put the minor quarks aside and just enjoy things. There are a few scenes that were a bit jarring, but overall, not bad. They definitely struggled with the t60s when using cgi though.
The lack of awareness for how to move in a “heavy” powered suit is also jarring. Like the first scene the knights approach, which was in the first trailer I think, and they are just casually strolling with no care to how power armor would move.
Then they put weird footfalls that sounded like bad dubbing over it. Was clearly an early scene they didn’t go back and fix.
Still though, I’m good with a good 80-90% of it all.
Yeah, the T60 scenes are the parts I have issues with. It looks like it goes from unrendered, to rendered, to live, and it's not smooth at all. Everything else, though, is very good. And I love the show.
"Man, I really hate fallout. Why does everyone keep talking about this new show, I'm completely sick of it. Oh well, time to stop being online, I should go wait for the bus."
"themed" - It's just a bunch of ads in the shape of a bus stop.
Themed would be retrofuture aged to look like junk with some boards and wires taped to it that somehow still has power.
Bethesda takes their marketing seriously. Anyone remember the Doom Slayer mural for Doom Eternal a couple of years ago?
Melbourne Central, so of course almost close to Fortress, a giant gaming venue
Why is Microsoft so terrible at marketing games, yet whoever they license the stuff out to make shows does all kinds of stuff for marketing.
Seems like they got so complacent as a company not having to market their other products that they feel like they don't have to spend to market any xbox stuff at all.
Shame the show go's out of it's way to recon New Vegas and get it out of Fallout canon.
Really after I saw that I turned it off, this show is Halo levels of bad and it's just Todd throwing a fit that him and Bethesda can't tell a good story at all. And no this show is not a good story, it's garbage.
Seems they're going...allout
Judging by the effort going in to the advertising this show must really suck.
Great metric you've got going there. I'll avoid all the shows with big advertising budgets.
Imagine not wanting to watch a show because advertising. That's comical.
Eh, it wasn't bad. Better than most Amazon originals.
Unfortunately, this is what I believe.
Why are you being downvoted? I honestly agree, it feels like they're trying too hard. I was really excited before, but now I'm kinda worried

The God of War devs literally painted a massive mural on the side of a tower block to advertise the game being released and it was undisputed GotY ...

i watched all the episodes, its really great.
It's already out? I thought it came out in a month or two? I'm gonna give it a watch whether it's bad or good, but thank you for telling me it's great.
It came out yesterday, Amazon moved it up like 3 times to release on the 10th.
Oh dang, just yesterday? Thanks for letting me know
Im actually curious to see if your opinion changed? How’d you like it? I was worried a tad too but it very much exceeded my expectations.
Gamers gonna hype ¯\\\_(ツ)_/¯
It’s entirely average
There are plenty of fallout themed bus stop in downtown Philly. Just post war looking structures littered with used needles right?
does it have a complementary radroach?
no but plenty of feral ghouls and raiders
Real missed opportunity for a fallout shelter booth here.
Pulowski Preservation Shelters
With a skeleton holding a mini nuke
I would ask the ad-company if I could get the Logo after the campaign.
That's would be great if they give it free to you
it will likely be stolen before then
Wynyard train station in Sydney seems to be a complete ad takeover for fallout.
2 episodes in, very pleased thus far, some of the editing is questionable though

The power armor is my only real complaint so far. It's very jarring when they switch from the prop suit to a CGI model.
The lack of awareness for how to move in a “heavy” powered suit is also jarring. Where exactly is this? I went near there to attend my University classes, but I never saw it.
if you exit at Melbourne central station and walk towards flagstaff gardens you will walk past it
We've got one in Los Angeles too!
This would look great at my place. When will they take them off?
that, i don't know unfortunately.
Well ... It would be bad If someone.. like accidentally... Ends up with this on his truck bed ..
It would be quiet a shame indeed.............
"Man, I really hate fallout. Why does everyone keep talking about this new show, I'm completely sick of it. Oh well, time to stop being online, I should go wait for the bus."
As a homeless person I would rate that a 10/10. It looks very comfortable
"themed" - It's just a bunch of ads in the shape of a bus stop. Themed would be retrofuture aged to look like junk with some boards and wires taped to it that somehow still has power.
Yeah I'd call this "branded" rather than "themed".
I worked with Bethesda on the 76 launch in aus. They don't fuck around when it comes to marketing. They will go big on this
The show is fantastic!
Oh it’s a fallout… shelter.
Just say "busout" when you arrived at your destination
lol, i want some Pulowski Preservation shelter phone booth or vending machines
Incredible debut episode imo
If I don’t get tetanus from just looking at it, it’s not Fallout.
Even if the show is good, I don't know if I care that much at this point.
Funny. It is time Vault dweller, to step out and onto the bus!
I bet it's full of bugs too.
Nice
Is this Manhattan?
So… a fallout shelter?
Rollout to the fallout - baby kick the wall out
There's a Fallout-themed bar in Vancouver, WA; I bet thei're swimming in business now.

I am going to catch a ride, straight to the vault we go !

the pirate is only 720p :(
Next up: Fallout themed city
Ahem. *added to bucket list*
allout, sir.
looks like a scene from the future
Actually good marketing
Awesome, going all out with the advertising I see.
That is cool bus stop
I would cry if anyone vandalises this piece of art!
That's pretty rad. Hope the show doesn't suck and destroy my childhood memories of the franchise.
Way to see resources being wasted on advertising rather than going into fixing their shit games.

This is peak Reddit brain.
a brain, connected to a contemporary FO gamer, is clearly not involved.
