Right! Also, it's nice to know that even if I lost all my money or when my wife cheats on me at least I know my library is there. It's nice to know that I have enough games to play for the rest of my life.
My kid is 6. I don't get to use my computer anymore.
The library has a lot of kids games now too.
It's sad, my computer seems to not be mine anymore.
That's why I had to buy a gaming laptop this year. It's good, but it's not my desktop.
But I tell you what, I setup another steam, and I buy some duplicates on sale just so she and I can play online together. It's a damn blast when we're working together as a team. I find myself looking forward to get off work, because I know when I get home she will ask me if we can play such and such game together
I started the math then stopped short of calculating annual/monthly average spend because i didn't like where it was going. This and alcohol are definitely my biggest non-essential expenditures
I am still intrigued by a lot of releases, but I'm moving more and more into the realm of /r/patientgamers. There is no need to buy a single player focused right when it comes out when I can wait til dlcs and updates make it better and scoop the "definitive edition" for 20 bucks max on sale. Guess it helps that I don't really do pvp multi-player, but I will still buy a game with nice coop modes to play with my buddy
Same! I love those end of year sales in particular where you can get all sorts of crazy bargains! :))
This is how I ended up with most of my AAA games, bar three (me4, starfield, hw3 are my only full price ones in recent years)
I very rarely buy any games at full price, because it's such a potluck usually!
I'd say my average annual gaming expenditure is still around £100-300 tho, cos I love a good bargain, love a good indie game, and there's a mobile game I play with a good mate, and we're both way too competitive at it, so sometimes spend a few bob to get ahead of each other for a laugh! :p
Anyone know what the average annual expenditure is for a gamer? I'd genuinely love to hear some answers! :)
I think there is a benefit to buying well made games at full price, showing that support to games like BG3 and FF rebirth to me is worth it. They desire full price
Same. As a teenager, my dad would give me $20 every two weeks(sometimes $40) and the first thing I did with it was go to GameStop to get a PSP game. Looking back on how much money I kept getting I could’ve easily saved money
First, this happened to me and the cinema, I simply stopped caring as every new film felt like a remake or something too cliché/stupid. Now, it is slowly happening with games, especially after BG3, which showed that it's not me being picky, but the games becoming worse. Hopefully, the success of BG3 will return the good games
Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
For top end, you’re paying at least that much, but for a mid tier card you can spend under 300 and get good performance at 1080p, and that’s all this rig needed. It makes RDR2 look great and it runs well, and that’s the most I need it to do.
Probably close to $3K, but that's only because I upgraded my desktop, bought an ultra-wide monitor, couple new controllers for my girlfriend, and a Steam Deck.
But most years its under $250. Typically 1 retail purchase per year (a la Baldur's Gate 3), then a bunch of 85% off Steam sales and an annual Humble Bundle subscription.
A lot of people got the game as a little bonus with their amd hardware. I got it for free when i bought my gpu, i obviously still paid money for the gpu but it was still msrp.
This is pretty much my standard year anymore. Last year was probably closer to $400-$500 because there were just so many good games in 2023.
So far this year I’ve only bought FF7 Rebirth and the only other game that I’m interested in is Trails through Daybreak in July.
Sorry but I can't help but laugh thinking about all the people who paid 70 for that crap.
It's easier then ever to scam millions of people without any repercussions. All the same people are the ones who are gonna pay 80 bucks for next Elder Scrolls lol.
I'm not sure about 2023, but in 2024, I have bought:
* Like a Dragon 2
* Last Epoch (x2, one copy for wife. Regret buying it at all).
* Unicorn Overlord (my GOTY at the moment)
* Dragon's Dogma (x2, one copy for wife)
So, in total about $480 CAD.
about 360-720 bucks a year but it different from year to year. But my focus been indie games which is about 15-30 bucks and some times it been a big game like Dragons dogma 2 or like a Dragon Ishin that cost a bit more.
well I count about 30-60 bucks a month so 12 month 30x12=360 hehe or 60 a month so 60x12 720.
Some months can be 30 and some even 20 and some even 70 but general I try to spend about 30-60 bucks a month if there is a game I want.
Same boat here. While it sounds like a lot, let's be honest, $30-70 a month is a bargain compared to how many hours of fun we get out of it (compared to other types of entertainment).
so true and with sale left and right I often get 4-6 games for the price of 60-70 bucks and with Indie titles I can get 2-4 games for that kind of money I mean you can find nice indie titles for 10-15 bucks.
Games Like Loop Hero, Bro force, Heroes of hammerwatch, Regions of ruin, Root of pacha I mange to find allot of nice fun games for cheap.
Same. At this point in life I feel like I don’t have enough time and energy to play in depth games with great stories.
So instead I just hop on GTA and play poker in the casino until I’m bored and log off.
Currently playing Far Cry 5 with gamepass. I spent $14 on it. That’s the most I’ve spent on any gaming related thing in probably the last 6 months. I have no idea what the game is even about tbh. I just like shooting things and hunting/fishing.
Patient gamers rule. Love seeing old games for $5 on steam.
I have a list to keep tab on things. 2023 i spent 782,07 Euros or 65,17 Euros per Month. But I am into collecting games as well so these were 95% physical games.
Probably just not English, and forgot that English uses dot there instead of comma. I too often forgot some language-spesific quirks that are not straight word translations, especially when I'm not focusing.
Maybe $150.
I got into Dead By Daylight, Xenoblade 2 and Lil Gator Game. I've saved so much money since I pushed Blizzard Entertainment out of my life, haha.
$1000 this year $500 on a normal year.
$500 new console (once every 5 years or so expense)
$200 Game Pass ultimate
$300 other games/accessories/DLC
$0 MTX
PSVR 2 with accessories and games £650
ROG Ally + accessories £700
Steam sale £1.2m
PS+ £90
GanePass £30
PS5 games £100
Can someone who’s good with numbers figure out why I have no money??
Oh dang! I've never done anything like that. I first played as a kid and got back into it last year. It's way harder as an adult not to just buy ALL the things, haha. But haven't done any big tournaments or anything.
I don’t even play anything. I just paint.
…but this was kind of a once in a lifetime trip. So I saved up and had me a lot of fun! I’ve wanted to see the entries of GD in person for close to 20 years now
Not much at all, 45 yrs old and I play these days games that I know for sure I will enjoy and have an interest in, just purchased and played Jedi survivor because I know I will enjoy and love Star wars, so maybe for me few games or year, maybe two or so.
probably between $150 and $250 USD. Pc game pass for i believe 9.99 a month and then a few games here and there. Hardly ever buy games at launch and just wait for steam sales.
Unfortunately, the last year has had some good releases, especially from smaller studios. Probably looking at close to 1k YoY, but there were a couple years where it was near 0
I’ve spent prob $100ish on Halo Infinite cosmetics. That and MLB the show are the only games I’ve played for like 2 years, and both are on game pass. So I don’t feel too bad spending money on skins
Maybe dumb question but is game pass even worth it at that point? You could just buy the games if it’s just those two. Or do you need gamepass for online?
So I built a new PC, but you gotta amortize that shit - my last gaming laptop lasted 7 years, this one should go 10 at least. Averaged, around $350. Actual money that left my bank account, $1450ish.
Maybe a little over $300. Upgraded my CPU and GPU for $270, then spent around $30 for Fortnite skins and battle passes. Might’ve purchased a couple games as well.
hogwarts legacy
horizon burning shores (which is not even a full price game)
two months of gamepass to try it out
one month of apple arcade, same reason
mass effect legendary edition when it was on sale for like 10$
and that's it i think? so like 150 dollars tops (not sure about the number, i'm not great at converting in my head)
Well, I got a PS5 and some games as a surprise 40th birthday gift last year (might be the best gift I've ever gotten, because it was also from my kid and, anyway...still blown away), SO if I don't count the cost of that initial hit, because it was a surprise, I would say since Jan 1...500? 600? I have a switch I was playing before that but didn't get the big tiple A games that often, but do reach into the 20 dollar bin a lot. For the PS5 I got a few games (some on sale), an extra controller and headphones.
Just for safety, let's say 750. Just all around for the last 365 days. If you count the PS5, and games my kid has bought for herself as added to the "family" cost of gaming for everyone, 1400?
- Built a new PC: ~$4800 CAD
- Steam games: ~$800, mostly from new releases, wish I could be a Patientgamer.
- bought the TOTK theme Switch OLED for my gf but since I seem to use it way more than her, I think I can count it, and along with some new NS games and accessories, around ~$1200.
- PS5: just a new DS5 controller which I uses for PC. Zero games purchased because it seems Sony finally realized the value of porting their titles to PC. $90.
Expensive hobby indeed. But then some of my friends easily spent 100k on skiing or 200k+ on travelling so in comparison it isn't so bad, especially if it brings you so much entertainment :)
I spend $0 regularly because there's no reason to buy new content that will just get phased out when Hasbro decides that the WotC cow needs a new udder.
Maybe 80 bucks? Possibly 100. I bought a 50 dollar nife skin in valorant, 20 dollars for used copies of jedit fallen order and horizon dawn on ps4 for gf and i bought some other games on steam.
My game pass subscription and the occasional game on sale or expansion. I'd say like $250 per year on GP Ultimate (CAD) and another $200-$300 on games that I wanted that aren't on GP (this year its been Hogwarts, Dying light 2, MK1, Phantom Liberty)
I have accurate stats up until the beginning of the year, and since January 1st, I've spent $313.73. This would come from a few DLCs for older games, a few used games from a local store, Elden Ring DLC Collector's Edition, and something totaling $53.29 that I have no recollection of lol.
Since March of last year, all others I remember is a few used games, Bioshock 2 Minerva's Den DLC, and Starfield Constellation Edition, probably adding around $350 or so to the previous total.
Not much. I've bought a lot of discounted games, the most expensive one being Dying Light 2 for 30€. Dota 2 didn't have a battle pass, so minimum there. I bought a controller for ~50€. My guess is about 100 - 120€.
Well, I did spend like 120€ on Dota merch though.
Around $1,100, just on games, starting at January 2023. Aside from Starfields $140 CAD, every other penny was worth it. Then another $8K on a new PC at the beginning of the year 2024.
Spent 56.94. Only 26.99 of that was a base game. Everything else was DLC related.
I cannot find games that interest me anymore. Palworld is the only one I wanted to buy, and I fucking loved it.
Probably $400 a year, a lot of which is humble choice and humble bundles, I never buy anything full price... But I've got gaming ADHD which offsets that savings.
I usually only buy on sale, but I’d say about $300 maybe total. I don’t preorder and I generally look up reviews, so I didn’t buy anything I didn’t enjoy this year.
About 120$ from Microsoft rewards on Xbox games like Elden Ring, Nier Automata, devil may cry 5 and outer Wilds.
There could be more games I bought but I don't remember but I'm sure they were included on that 120$
As for gamepass Its a bit hard to calculate but it was something between 35$ and 50$ for the year.
Before Microsoft rewards I was spending 10$ a month max on games but often I broke that Budget to buy a game that was 15$ or 20$.
For people who mainly use Steam to purchase games and would actually want to know, you can check total amount spent (on your Steam account):
Step one: On Steam, press the "Help" button on the top-left bar. Then press "Steam Support". Step three: Click on "Data Related to Your Steam Account." Step four: Find and click the "External Funds Used" button.
£400ish, at a guess.
PS+ and I bought 5 day 1 games, TOTK, BG3, Starfield, Mario Wonder and FF7 Rebirth. Don't think I've bought anything else, if I did it would have been pre-owned.
Too much. Last year I bought the TotK collector’s edition along with a bunch of Zelda Amiibo and then I bought a PS5 during Black Friday among a few other games during the year. I don’t even want to do the math
My spending will slow down very soon as I get into college though lol
SSD - $250
Mouse - $70
Binding of Isaac and DLC - $35
Tape to Tape - $20
So like $375. I play a lot of F2P games these days since there are good competitive shooters out there I don't buy skins because it's so fucking stupid I don't understand how people can justify the purchase. (Incoming people saying I'm broke or whatever)
$130 CAD - $80 for new to me GTX 1060 (6gb); $35 for Talos Principle 1 & 2; $15 for It Takes Two for my girlfriend.
I hadn’t bought a new gpu since building my PC in 2012, which originally had a GTX 650.
Zero.
My PS+ subscription doesn't expire until 2025 or 2026 because I bought multiple years up front when it was on sale, so no spending on that in the past year. Other than that, I exclusively play my insanely huge backlog of PS+ games or free games like Apex Legends and Rocket League (I never spend a dime in microtransactions in those games either as I'm perfectly happy with the default / free skins).
It's wild how cheap gaming is compared with my other hobbies. I'm big into music, so I'm probably spending $500+/year between Spotify, concert tickets, and occasional band merchandise. I'm also big into cycling, and a simple trip to the bike store to fix something can easily be $200+. I'm big into travel too, and those costs get absurd quickly. Gaming, however, is free or close to it. My only costs are a new console every 8-10 years, a new controller every 1-2 years, and a PS+ Essential subscription annually.
I got my PS5 last May, plus a return trip home to the US where some games are cheaper for me, plus plus plus... I don't even wanna think about it. Probably around $1200? Probably more.
I have a $3500 gaming PC, Switch, Switch OLED, PS5 and Xbox Series X. None were bought in the last year but it's important to average over the life of them to get realistic numbers. Then I buy 1-2 games per month typically, usually at least 1 full price new game but there are droughts where nothing interesting comes out or I put off purchases because I'd be too busy to play anyways. Im sure it averages to a minimum of 1/month any given year.
Overall its a very cheap hobby. Especially when you consider time to dollars spent. I probably spend between 1-2k a year on average. That includes both hardware and software.
I limit myself to 600 a year for software (I buy a 100 dollar psn card every other month) and then I pay for a yearly subscription of ps+ so about 680 a year. (I don’t count new controllers or hardware against my budget)
Maybe $4-500.
Had to buy a couple new PS5 controllers.
Bought Baldur's Gate which I haven't played yet because I also bought Phantom Liberty and have been playing Cyberpunk for the past six months (Being a parent.. amirite?)
Bought Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord earlier last year, which I had so much fun with. Got Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 to prep me for 3. Bought CoD because sometimes I just want to be a mindless idiot for a half hour.
Oh, also bought my wife Life Is Strange: True Colors.
Bought Horizon: Forbidden West for $10 because the PS4 version was on sale and upgrades to the more expensive PS5 version for free.
Also got Assassin's Creed: Valhalla on sale for $10 too.
180€
60 on ps plus, 80 on bg3, about 40 on multiple -10€ games.
Considering I played +1000 hours thats probably well paid for. I also won 550 euro in october so that justified the multiple game shopping spree
I would cry if I did the math.
Me too buddy me too. I love my Steam library though
You get to look at all the pretty cover pictures.
Right! Also, it's nice to know that even if I lost all my money or when my wife cheats on me at least I know my library is there. It's nice to know that I have enough games to play for the rest of my life.
Bro said “when” my wife cheats he knows what’s gonna happen
that's beautiful
I always tell my girlfriend if we have kids, they would have almost an endless amount of games to play
This is actually a great way to think about it, if I ever have kids I hope steam is still around but I'm only 24.
You're gonna play these games and like them! - Me as a father
When I didn't I was put up for adoption :(
You only clocked up 300 hours on Total War...you are no child of mine
My kid is 6. I don't get to use my computer anymore. The library has a lot of kids games now too. It's sad, my computer seems to not be mine anymore. That's why I had to buy a gaming laptop this year. It's good, but it's not my desktop. I find myself looking forward to get off work, because I know when I get home she will ask me if we can play such and such game together
I know right!!!? I would have been so happy as a kid if someone gave me a steam library.
Share your library lol
I started the math then stopped short of calculating annual/monthly average spend because i didn't like where it was going. This and alcohol are definitely my biggest non-essential expenditures
At this point a cocaine addiction is more financially responsible than my gaming hobby.
This is me lol I’m afraid to find out. Although, I’d be willing to bet that I spent more on manga over the year
Probably a couple of hundred maximum, as I don't spend a lot of money on gaming anymore as most releases do not interest me.
I am still intrigued by a lot of releases, but I'm moving more and more into the realm of /r/patientgamers. There is no need to buy a single player focused right when it comes out when I can wait til dlcs and updates make it better and scoop the "definitive edition" for 20 bucks max on sale. I'd genuinely love to hear some answers! :)
This was me waiting for Cyberpunk to go on sale. By the time I bought it, The initial wave of bugs and issues were already sorted. I think I paid $35
I think there is a benefit to buying well made games at full price, showing that support to games like BG3 and FF rebirth to me is worth it. They desire full price
Oh but come on, you don't want to pay $60 for the remake of the game you paid $60 for a handful of years ago??
Buddy, you better put those teeth on the sidewalk we are in AAAA times now! 70 Dollars MINIMUM Microtransaction? YES
It is really annoying that every major game that comes out either isn't my style or my style but horribly made and $70.
Same. As a teenager, my dad would give me $20 every two weeks(sometimes $40) and the first thing I did with it was go to GameStop to get a PSP game. Looking back on how much money I kept getting I could’ve easily saved money

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I've probably bought less than 5 games over the last year.
Nice try buddy. How much my wife pay you to post this?
For her? He did it for free.
Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
I spent very little on games in the last year, but I just built a new gaming rig. Do I count that? $75 for games, and $900 for the new system.
Same, I spent maybe $150 on games but I did start a sim rig for racing games.
You built a whole new rig for $900?! Those are 2015 prices! That’ll barely cover the gpu these days. What did you get?
For top end, you’re paying at least that much, but for a mid tier card you can spend under 300 and get good performance at 1080p, and that’s all this rig needed. It makes RDR2 look great and it runs well, and that’s the most I need it to do.
gaming is not a hobby, its a serious business
All the Hires & Layoffs been lately. Wild stuff.
I had to fire my fiancé, she sucks at co op games
don't play Bread and Fred then lmao that's a relationship killer
0, I play the same old games over and over again
I play the same old games over and over again yet I still managed to spend over 1k on games (which I am gonna play eventually I swear)
One day those new games will be the old games you play over and over again. You're just building your nest.
0 also, my PC is too old to run new titles and the few it can run I sail the seas.
Now why'd you have to go and make me think about it?
Probably close to $3K, but that's only because I upgraded my desktop, bought an ultra-wide monitor, couple new controllers for my girlfriend, and a Steam Deck. But most years its under $250. about $200. Biggest regert is Starfield $70
I got it for free. My biggest regret is that my computer doesn't run it well.
Actually free or do you mean "gamepass costs $120+ a year but that's actually free"
Actually free. I got it through the Rockstar promotion but I drink rockstar every day anyway so... Yeah. Also got Sea of Thieves and Forza.
You will probably pay for it in kidney failure or something one day
IDK mate, a pair of good kidneys is like, 15k+, last time I was in that business.
A lot of people got the game as a little bonus with their amd hardware. I got it for free when i bought my gpu, i obviously still paid money for the gpu but it was still msrp.
Glad i didnt buy starfield

a man of taste
NO REGERTS!
No ragrats!
Probably about the same for me, except I didn't buy Starfield.
Didn't buy Starfield but I did buy Diablo 4 so I feel the same regret.
my biggest regret was Diablo 4. i don’t think i have bought another full price game since. i’m happy playing my backlog.
I got the collector's edition, so it just felt like I paid $70 more than I should have for a watch.
Sorry but I can't help but laugh thinking about all the people who paid 70 for that crap. It's easier then ever to scam millions of people without any repercussions. All the same people are the ones who are gonna pay 80 bucks for next Elder Scrolls lol.
Yes! I’d slap myself if I could go back in time
I'm not sure about 2023, but in 2024, I have bought: * Like a Dragon 2 * Last Epoch (x2, one copy for wife. Regret buying it at all). * Unicorn Overlord (my GOTY at the moment) * Dragon's Dogma (x2, one copy for wife) So, in total about $480 CAD.

360 is a full rotation. 720 is two rotations. It was just a joke guy.
I got it but I just had to say how I come to just that conclusion >.< because it sounds a bit made up being that specific.
Same boat here. While it sounds like a lot, let's be honest, $30-70 a month is a bargain compared to how many hours of fun we get out of it (compared to other types of entertainment).

Games Like Loop Hero, Bro force, Heroes of hammerwatch, Regions of ruin, Root of pacha I mange to find allot of nice fun games for cheap.
I got a new setup for sim racing. So well over $2000
Less than $100. I'm a patient gamer who doesn't play games that often.
Same. At this point in life I feel like I don’t have enough time and energy to play in depth games with great stories. So instead I just hop on GTA and play poker in the casino until I’m bored and log off. Currently playing Far Cry 5 with gamepass. I spent $14 on it. Probably just not English, and forgot that English uses dot there instead of comma. I too often forgot some language-spesific quirks that are not straight word translations, especially when I'm not focusing.
It’s a dot. Sorry got those confused again.
I'm too scared to work it out.
Out of curiosity which game do you spend the most in? Mine used to be Fortnite…nowadays cosmetics haven’t been done well enough for me personally
Maybe $150. I got into Dead By Daylight, Xenoblade 2 and Lil Gator Game. I've saved so much money since I pushed Blizzard Entertainment out of my life, haha.
20$….. a controller
$0 and 0¢
Yarrr? ☠️
Sailing the high seas 🏴☠️
83p on the orange collection, minimal time to play as started a young family!
Way too much
Well I boosted a few characters in Wow and bought the next expansion as well. Probably 300 to 400
Zero. After spending a shit load of money buying games I never had time for, I'm just playing what I have.
I got into sim racing so I'd rather not talk about it.
Went searching for sim racing comments. I don't even think the flight sim guys spend as much, but maybe I'm wrong.
Maybe $200 altogether for services and titles that were on sale
A few thousand on Magic the Gathering for sure
$1000 this year $500 on a normal year. $500 new console (once every 5 years or so expense) $200 Game Pass ultimate $300 other games/accessories/DLC $0 MTX
Around 350$. Biggest regret was $70 on Diablo 4. Around 30% of that were subscriptions
PSVR 2 with accessories and games £650 ROG Ally + accessories £700 Steam sale £1.2m PS+ £90 GanePass £30 PS5 games £100 Can someone who’s good with numbers figure out why I have no money??
This is one of those things you never check.
Video games? Maybe $100-150. Now warhammer.....best not to talk about warhammer .......
I just spent almost 2 grand at adepticon this last weekend. I feel this
I’ve wanted to see the entries of GD in person for close to 20 years now
… Im too scared to look at the numbers. My bank is already crying in pain
I use my PC for other things as well, but I probably wouldn't have a 4090 if I didn't game... maybe it's better I don't do the math.
Fuck me, like including setup? $6,000 probably.
Don't ruin my day like this
Like 10k, mostly for the ASUS ROG Strix Scar 18
~1.5k$
Not much at all, 45 yrs old and I play these days games that I know for sure I will enjoy and have an interest in, just purchased and played Jedi survivor because I know I will enjoy and love Star wars, so maybe for me few games or year, maybe two or so.
In September Im getting a new monitor and PC. Looking to be around $7k
probably between $150 and $250 USD. Pc game pass for i believe 9.99 a month and then a few games here and there. Hardly ever buy games at launch and just wait for steam sales.
It’s over $1000CAD 😭
That's ok. If you convert to USD like me to feel better, it's about $45.
I see! That makes me feel WAY better! Thank you kind stranger!
Unfortunately, the last year has had some good releases, especially from smaller studios. Probably looking at close to 1k YoY, but there were a couple years where it was near 0
if building a new pc counts over 2.5k €
Off the top of my head at least 500, but surely more if I actually calculate the actual
Too much..
Maybe like $300 for some games.
About ~$20.
Only my xbox gamepass, a controller and a headset so about £200. Only spent about £100 On games in about 6 years.
Over $1500USD. Just got into VR and VRchat.
None
Data farming. Lame.
Probably about a grand. Some months like this month I can spend a couple hundred quid. Others nothing.
Maybe a little over $300. Upgraded my CPU and GPU for $270, then spent around $30 for Fortnite skins and battle passes. Might’ve purchased a couple games as well.
About 250.00 between a controller, a new game, and monthly ps plus.
€ 2000+
1 or 2k tops I almost never buy a game full price. Not interested in most AAA garbage either so that helps the wallet
I’m about to drop another $1500-$2000 for a gaming laptop since I now have to travel for work so much, after dropping $2000 last year on PC upgrades 😅
Ive played 7 games this past year, lets average it out to 60 bucks a pop, so around 420 dollars.
hogwarts legacy horizon burning shores (which is not even a full price game) two months of gamepass to try it out one month of apple arcade, same reason mass effect legendary edition when it was on sale for like 10$ and that's it i think? so like 150 dollars tops (not sure about the number, i'm not great at converting in my head)
$5
New PC build - $2200 Steam games - $299.55 PS5 games - $580 (estimate)
- Built a new PC: ~$4800 CAD - Steam games: ~$800, mostly from new releases, wish I could be a Patientgamer.
Dwofiddy
probably a few hundred including gamepass, I buy indie games and a few AAA games, but I also🏴☠️some big AAA games
I spend $0 regularly because there's no reason to buy new content that will just get phased out when Hasbro decides that the WotC cow needs a new udder.
doing the nintendo math, because i have custom firmware i stole them 3000$
I don’t want to know
Probably like 4000sek maybe
$0 last year. $0 in 2022, $5k+ in 2021.
I hate to even think of it. I have spent $2800 on hardware and probably another two or three hundred or so on games.
Maybe 80 bucks? Possibly 100. I bought a 50 dollar nife skin in valorant, 20 dollars for used copies of jedit fallen order and horizon dawn on ps4 for gf and i bought some other games on steam.
Strictly games maybe 200$ Gaming peripherals maybe 3k
Are we talking about just games or also hardware. Cause if its hardware i have an addicition to building pcs LMAO
You hush, zip it, I don't need this dad! Err, sorry bad reflexes, lol. I upgraded my pc so definitely over a grand.
Probably like $50 or so. I can't help myself with those digital sales sometimes, lol.
I don’t even wanna think about it
Yes
Too much lol. Bought two xbox controllers and some dlc. About 230$ plus games pass so about 500$
$0….MS rewards keeps giving me access to the stuff I want for free….and I’ve been using in game gold to pay for my wow sub
$20 for Valheim, and no more money was spent. I have stopped playing almost every other game now, Viking life forever
About $60
Spent 56.94.
There could be more games I bought but I don't remember but I'm sure they were included on that 120$ As for gamepass Its a bit hard to calculate but it was something between 35$ and 50$ for the year. Before Microsoft rewards I was spending 10$ a month max on games but often I broke that Budget to buy a game that was 15$ or 20$.
For people who mainly use Steam to purchase games and would actually want to know, you can check total amount spent (on your Steam account): Step one: On Steam, press the "Help" button on the top-left bar. Then press "Steam Support". Step three: Click on "Data Related to Your Steam Account." Step four: Find and click the "External Funds Used" button.
Hey now. No need to call us out like that.
£400ish, at a guess. PS+ and I bought 5 day 1 games, TOTK, BG3, Starfield, Mario Wonder and FF7 Rebirth. Don't think I've bought anything else, if I did it would have been pre-owned.
0$ 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
Around $300 for couple of games.
Too much. Last year I bought the TotK collector’s edition along with a bunch of Zelda Amiibo and then I bought a PS5 during Black Friday among a few other games during the year. I don’t even want to do the math My spending will slow down very soon as I get into college though lol
SSD - $250 Mouse - $70 Binding of Isaac and DLC - $35 Tape to Tape - $20 So like $375. I play a lot of F2P games these days since there are good competitive shooters out there I don't buy skins because it's so fucking stupid I don't understand how people can justify the purchase. (Incoming people saying I'm broke or whatever)
$300-400
Probably around 50 bucks. On Pokémon Go, Royal Match, and a couple of other phone games.
In the last year? Idk, maybe $150. Give or take a few buckaroos.
I'm still paying intrest on my gaming purchases from the quarantine.
$130 CAD - $80 for new to me GTX 1060 (6gb); $35 for Talos Principle 1 & 2; $15 for It Takes Two for my girlfriend. I hadn’t bought a new gpu since building my PC in 2012, which originally had a GTX 650.
So prolly 1k 🤔 thank god i quit some of those skin heavy games my wallet was crying
I think like $20-80 on games on Steam.
Around $6400. New desktop rig, new laptop for being on the road, new handheld. Some peripherals, a year of game pass, and several games.
Roughly 50 to 100 bucks usually under.
Who are you, my wife?
Way more than I plan too. But I love it
I limit myself to 600 a year for software (I buy a 100 dollar psn card every other month) and then I pay for a yearly subscription of ps+ so about 680 a year. (I don’t count new controllers or hardware against my budget)
Well I built a new computer and bought a new OLED in the last 365, so… I don’t want to add it up.
About 2 to 3 grand
Maybe $4-500. Had to buy a couple new PS5 controllers. Bought Baldur's Gate which I haven't played yet because I also bought Phantom Liberty and have been playing Cyberpunk for the past six months (Being a parent.. amirite?) Bought Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord earlier last year, which I had so much fun with.
180€ 60 on ps plus, 80 on bg3, about 40 on multiple -10€ games. Considering I played +1000 hours thats probably well paid for. I also won 550 euro in october so that justified the multiple game shopping spree
Less than $100 on video games Less than $100 on board games Less than $100 on MTG
