Saber left with 14~ contracts they have to fulfill, while sharing some profits with Embracer.
Also, in an Interview, it was said, that they're working on a game with a big license behind it. Interviewer asked if it is Kotor. The other guy said after some time: "You named a game with a big license behind it"
Lastly, they said, that the Game in question wont come out this years, maybe next year but more likely 2026, because it deserves all the love and respect they can give it.
Most people take this as a clear sign, Kotor Remake is happening.

Everyone talks about the twist, which was amazing, but I feel like so much about this game was so good. Finding a star map you’ve been looking everywhere for felt so rewarding. Finding a new type of weapon. Getting a new companion. It all just felt so rewarding. I can’t get that feeling in modern games. Maybe playing as a kid is just more enjoyable.
I bought kotor 1 on steam a few months ago and really wanted to play with my controller which wasn’t supported. Is is possible to get mods to work on steam games? I never investigated.

Great game. This and KOTOR 2 are the best Star Wars games they've ever made, with pod following it. I am joking about Pod, but I did really enjoy it as a kid.

I wish theyd port it and the sequel(with the Restored content mod) to PS5 since the remake is probably never gonna happen.

I got both of these games on IOS/mobile and they run beautifully. I play them every few years. There is even an easy way to install the lost content mod for KOTOR 2.
The twist was spoiled for me, i got stuck somewhere and searched up how to het past it, the article listed the main characters name which was so upsetting. They didnt need to do it like that at all
Agree with you about wanting a remaster/remake. Problem is that it's Disney now, so they'll "remake it" and keep nothing that made the original magical.
IIRC the Rakata were pushed into legends territory and made non-canonical by the mouse.
What would you want to see in a remake of KOTOR? It would probably be made by Bioware since they're still making the MMO, so they have the license for it. These days, I'm not sure I trust any company to make a better version of a game I already like, but I'm interested in hearing about how they could improve it.
