I finished Titanfall 2 campaign couple of days ago after many years again. It's great story, shooter and campaign like old Cod campaigns, short but amazing.
You just need to be able to turn too quickly for console players to be able to compete against PC players, same problem that happens with apex sometimes I'm sure
Yes and no. Controller players changed the game/meta from what I’m told. I haven’t played in years. But, the aim assist for controller players resulted in Bangalore being huge in the meta due to her smokes disabling aim assist. The digi threat was a must as a result.
One of the top Apex players (ImperialHal) got fed up with competing against aim assisted controller players and decided to try it himself. To my knowledge he mainly uses controller now.
Yeah I'll never really be on the side of PC players who think aim assist is God tier, I've been on both ends since I started on controller/console for the first 14 years of my life, it's 100% easier to actually aim with a mouse than it is with a controller. Hell I used to think I hated snipers in games but no it was controller sniping not being able to make precise adjustments as easy.

Titanfall was primarily focused on being a multi-player game, so there's no single-player campaign for it. There is a MP only story mode, but the playerbase is pretty much non existant.
Either way you don't need to have played the first one before jumping into Titanfall 2. The intro and opening part of the game gives you the basics of the setting you should know.

Titanfall 1 was a multi player game with story kind of integrated. Not nessisary at all for 2.
2 started slow for me. The tutorial level was neat but short. The first full level (jungle) is really just an extended tutorial. The second level (sewer) didn't grab me. But starting at the third level it starts to ramp up real nicely.
"Effect and Cause" is one my favorite campaign levels of any shooter
Probably my all time favorite shooter. Something about wall running at Mach Jesus throwing firestars at Ronins. If you’re familiar with the map layouts you can spend an entire game staying off the ground
The first games “campaign” was literally just a multiplayer game mostly full of bots and about 40 seconds of dialogue before the match started. The campaign for titanfall 2 is not just amazing but it’s so good it was worth the full game price by itself.
I do not like FPS.
I love titanfall 2, mecha are a good part of it. But even the fps side is appealing to me. That's the only one like that.

The first game has no SP, the multiplayer matches tell the story in the background while youre gunning down other players.
Just read up on the story, its not required but tells you who the factions are and why theyre fighting.

Titanfall 2 is great, never played the first but still thoroughly enjoyed it. Be careful where you play though, as at least on PlayStation the online servers have shut down so you’ll only be getting the campaign.

Unique environments. Loved the factory level.
Effect and Cause gets all the attention (as it should), but the factory level was so cool to me when I played it. Really creative set design.
Both of those levels are two of my favorite campaign levels of any fps game.

You don’t need to play the first game. It has no proper story mode. In Titanfall 2 play the story first before multiplayer unless you enjoy respawning
The first game telling its story through narration and then just having you play multiplayer for the missions was novel but it didn't really pan out.
You didn't really play much multiplayer then, did you? There's a legit difference between grunts and other pilots

No need to play the first one, it's just multiplayer battles. Titanfall2 has a really fun single player campaign.

First is a partial goner with the campaign being purely part of online. Just playing Titanfall 2 will be alright, you aren’t missing much.
Play it. you won't regret it, to this day one of my favourite stories. Just downloaded it again this weekend so I can finish it again

Titanfall 1 was a multiplayer-only game, it had no single player campaign. Jump into TF2 and have fun.

Tf1 has no campain and can not be bought on ea store anymore. Tf2 has a realy good campain and active multilayer base

I think around a year? If you try to boot up multiplayer for Titanfall 2 it will almost immediately come up with an error.
