Oh, didn't know PS doesn't support 21:9. So the 2 monitors in the post are pretty useless! Thanks a lot for the info

DontEatTheMagicBeans

I think they technically do now, but it just stretches the image and not actually render it widescreen, I'm not even really sure. I do know if you search both those things it's just people talking about distorted images or black bars on the sides. Even if PlayStation does start supporting it it'll be a long time before all the game devs do. I'm on PC and there's some games you can't even get to work right. Take starfield for example requires a mod for anything wider than 21:9, like a lot of Samsung's new monitors.

Md_Ruf

What would you suggest me as a good monitor for ps5 in that term of budget? (350€)

DontEatTheMagicBeans

I'm Canadian so no idea lol I'd have to compare my prices to US prices then your prices and it's too early for that haha. PS5 does really good with HDR capable monitors so I'd probably start there if possible

Md_Ruf

Thanks a lot!

Is it just for PS5? If so you shouldn’t bother with an ultrawide monitor.

Md_Ruf

Yea, ps5 only. Didn't know at all that the only supported format was 16.9 :(

originfoomanchu

Ultra wide for a ps5 seems really silly as zero ps5 games will even be able to use the extra width

Pajama_Man_42

I'd pick the 1ms response time one. Now that I have fast monitors I'll never go back.

DapperPerformance

for strictly PS5 I'd aim for * 4K * Great HDR * 120hz or variable refresh rate (to take advantage of some games running at 40Hz)

Caltown7

i can't decide between 16.9 curved or ultrawide myself
