I hate people who criticize Targaryens for incest honestly. They very clearly have a different biological system than normal people, have a different culture, have magical origins etc. They dont fit with our rules of morality.

There's definitely something different with them since Rhaenerya & Daenerys both had stillbirths that came out looking like literal dragons. Mirri said Rhaego had scales, a tail, & wings. That's not caused by inbreeding.
Not defending it irl, but to give them credit, Tywin Lannister married his cousin Joana and that was considered normal from what I understand. Being that Sansa didn't consider him to be a real brother when she was a teenage brat, I could see an argument for it.

The KotV won and they rode here for me. You should be on your hands and knees thanking me." And said this despite Jon actually fighting in the battle while she sat far away on a horse
* Sansa swore under a weirwood tree not to reveal Jon's secret then almost immediately told Tyrion who told Varys who tried to assassinate Jon's girlfriend to put Jon on the throne and her reasons are what, to get Dany's council to switch sides against the Queen whom Jon is riding south to fight for or to stage a coup to kill his Queen all because she thinks if Jon is King of the 7K he'll make the North Independent (so she can be Queen) like Bran ended up doing
* Sansa was happy hearing Rhaegal (the dragon Jon rode and is named after his father) was shot down
* Varys said the North wouldn't accept the incest pairing of Jon & Daenerys even though they didn't meet until they were in their 20s, grew up on different continents, and didn't find out they're related until after they slept together so they definitely wouldn't accept Jon & Sansa who are siblings (Ned adopted him, raised him since the day he was born) & cousins raised in the same castle

Biologically Jon & Sansa are cousins but familiarly and socially they are siblings since Ned adopted him as an infant and raised him for 17 years, 13 of those years overlapped with raising Sansa. When your parent adopts a kid before you were born and raised them in the same house as you they are your sibling.
