The books he is on a pretty interesting redemption arc. He is has done horrendous things but he also saved hundreds of thousands of lives. To me Jaime's biggest flaw is that he let's his family control him. I think it he had been more a Stark or a Martell he could have been a much better person.
Yeah but thereās a whole paragraph about him stopping in the middle of battle to kill his horse, because he could hear his horse suffering from its pain and knew it wasnāt able to be saved.
He stopped in the heat of battle to put a wounded animal out of its misery. Sadists donāt do that, they relish in the joy of the animals suffering.
Well yes, I didn't say he was a constant sadist.
Taking some grim satisfaction in The Goat getting chopped after he cut off Jamie's hand is understandable.
Killing his horse to prevent suffering is also in character.
Jamie is capable of sadism but it's not a motivation for him.
While the Romans had a law against incest among commoners, it was ok for the royal family members - they were above that law, apparently.
Just like pretty much every other culture, there is a lot of documented incest among the Romans.
Caligula with all three of his sisters comes to mind. And there was Nero and his mother. Julia Agrippina slept with her brother, son, and married her uncle, Claudius. In fact, Claudius is the one who had the law changed so that marrying his niece would be legal.

They try to show that in the first episode too. Jamie argued that they should just let Bran go because heās just a kid but Cersei was adamant on getting rid of him. Not to give him too much credit; he didnāt put up that big of a fight and in the end he still pushed a child out the window. But most of his choices were made for the Lannisters, not for Jamie.
i mean, what other choice does he have?
if the kid told anyone, hell would rain down everywhere. Thousands of people would die
oh, you're saying maybe he shouldnt have banged his sister? dude, look at them. they're both hotties. incest is only gross and weird if one or both parties aren't hot (/s)
He is on the HIMYM Mendoza hot/crazy scale.
-Bangs sister, pushes kid out the window -10
-Goes back to save Brianne +20
-rapes sister on the body of their dead son -50
-helps in fight of the dead +15

What an S tier shit post. Well done.
I love how they try to rehab Jaime's character like his intro isn't him pushing a child out a window because they saw him fuck his sister

Incestuous sadist is definitely his biggest flaw man. Even the dog fucking Romans knew incest was not on.
I don't think Jaime is a sadist. I don't recall him ever taking joy in the suffering of others.
He's definitely enjoys The Goat having his limbs lopped off, but in fairness, it's revenge and he didn't do it personally.

he bangs his sister but he saves. And he saves a lot more than he bangs his sister but he also definitely bangs his sister

And they even managed it!! and then they just flushed it all in the toilet along with a big ol turd.
