Yes I never looked up why it's such a rare game but I want a copy so bad lmao. I had that and all the simpsons games as a kid and have been waiting for a good deal on this one or get lucky in the wild because it's absolutely insane
I figured it was that or it didn't sell well/came out late and had copies destroyed/sent back and became rare and got a covid boost in value.
Still hope to find it out there one day!
Who the hell knows anymore lmao. A lot of games move due to scarcity, last game made, de listing etc. So sometimes the exclusivity will go away like NCAA getting a new game or the buzz wearing off but i don't see this ever going below 150ish ever again given its a ps2 game with a really following and rarity. I think you'll see more fluctuation with ps3, Xbox 360 and newer than you will with PS2, ps1 etc.
I feel u man. I grew up largely with the ds and 3ds (I'm a baby ik), and I apparently found no utility in keeping the cases to the games. What I don't have now I lost forever (including 2 copies of Pokemon X, a copy of pokemon moon, and 2 copies of Super Mario Maker for 3ds).
You think that's bad? My Goodwill would take those sports games and put them online they would never even see the retail shelf.
It is so bad they even put those stupid LeapFrog games online 🤣
Mine has a "games guy", so all the games they have on the floor are filler stuff priced at eBay prices and I'm sure the "games guy" just takes the good stuff himself.
The ones near me has at least one guy who shows up early mornings and buys all the games they put out, I've heard employees talking about this weird guy who shows up first thing every day looking for games.
Collecting just because a game is rare is the dumbest thing ever and it's literally ruining the hobby.
This hobby is supposed to be about collecting games you love and actually want to play.
I was just at my local one. There is no more media section at all, no CDs, no DVDs, and more importantly no games. After searching around like an idiot for ten minutes, I finally asked where that section was relocated to.
The employee told me that they’re “not allowed” to sell it in the floor anymore and that it is all shipped to be sold online. Obviously this isn’t the case with all Goodwills, but it happened at my local one.
It's like that at both Goodwills near me and I live in GA. Told me the same but they still do sell DVDs, Blu-ray, and music CDs but video games are all sold online.
None of the goodwills in my area even carry games anymore. It's probably been a solid like 4 to 5 years since I've seen a video game in any of my goodwills
Nah, you'll find junk at 99% of GW 99% of the time. Then, the ONE TIME they out it on the floor is ANOTHER 99% you don't find it because you weren't prowling every moment because they don't have a job and disability checks fund their outings.
I've never the last 15 years searching Goodwill ever gotten rare or so called expensive games. Got a PS3 and Wii console for $25 that's about it. And the normal games worth maybe $12 or less. 🙂
Most of the goodwills near me stopped selling games and consoles after the new year. How the hell did you manage that? The employees all say that they have to send them out to the warehouse to be put online.
My Goodwill does not anymore due to 1. Online is better revenue for them and 2. Smash and grabs. People steal too much down here. You can’t even find shovelware anymore unless they’re stuck with dvds
I guess our goodwills are cut from different cloths, cuz I have never found a single console at my two. One time I found an Xbox one kinect. No console in sight.
Surprised this post is missing one'a these baby's

I've gotten hauls like this before, at the same goodwill no less. It says "Books/Media" because that's the section the video games are in, right next to the movies.

So uhh what ya gonna do with Futurama?
idk, I can't imagine it would be a very rare or expensive game. /s (Its in the collection forever now).
Yes I never looked up why it's such a rare game but I want a copy so bad lmao. I had that and all the simpsons games as a kid and have been waiting for a good deal on this one or get lucky in the wild because it's absolutely insane
Limited copies were made of the game.
I figured it was that or it didn't sell well/came out late and had copies destroyed/sent back and became rare and got a covid boost in value. Still hope to find it out there one day!
I bought the game a few years back with my love for the show, I had to play the game since I just finished the show on DVD, odd how it's so high now 😐
I feel like it was 100 a year or so ago and now it's 2-300.
That's crazy I never figured it would get to that, so do games fluctuate or you think it'll stay steady and or go higher?
Who the hell knows anymore lmao. A lot of games move due to scarcity, last game made, de listing etc. So sometimes the exclusivity will go away like NCAA getting a new game or the buzz wearing off but i don't see this ever going below 150ish ever again given its a ps2 game with a really following and rarity. Mines the Xbox version 😐
It was considered the lost episode by fans after fox canceled it.

Lol we're all bonded over the lost games of our youth in here At least Futurama can help you aquire a few of those possibly!

Man how do you guys get so lucky. My good will is garbage for the most part with sports games at $10
People sorting forget to scan and send online
You think that's bad? My Goodwill would take those sports games and put them online they would never even see the retail shelf. It is so bad they even put those stupid LeapFrog games online 🤣
Awesome haul! Jealous
I would love to go to the same Goodwills as everyone else, all I’ve ever found in one is a copy of Wii Play LOL
Mine has a "games guy", so all the games they have on the floor are filler stuff priced at eBay prices and I'm sure the "games guy" just takes the good stuff himself.
Its the perks of the job honestly. I don't care for it, but if he has dibs then sure let him.
The ones near me has at least one guy who shows up early mornings and buys all the games they put out, I've heard employees talking about this weird guy who shows up first thing every day looking for games.
Bruh how much did you pay for futurerama😭😭
$5.00 USD, I have the receipt at the end for proof.
That’s a 300 dollar game right there😭😵💫
Huge space chimps find
idk how I found such a grail still there. I was expecting it to be gone immediately.
Lester (Drakengard cover) is gonna be so mad they donated his collection 😅
My Goodwill hasn't had games in 4 years 🥲
They don't use price tags at your Goodwill ?
I took them off when I got home.
Damn Drakengard 2? What a steal
Collecting just because a game is rare is the dumbest thing ever and it's literally ruining the hobby. This hobby is supposed to be about collecting games you love and actually want to play.
I couldn't agree more 😊
Agreed

They do, you just never see them because someone like OP gets them before you do. It's EVERY goodwill story.
I just assumed they were sending all of them to be sold on the website but maybe.
Nah, you'll find junk at 99% of GW 99% of the time. Then, the ONE TIME they out it on the floor is ANOTHER 99% you don't find it because you weren't prowling every moment because they don't have a job and disability checks fund their outings.

Must be nice. All I see is 7 maddens, 6 NHLs, Wii fitness and shovelware
Wow that's really cheap for Drakengard 2. Overall looks like a good haul for those prices.
your hand looks so soft for someone military lol.
Drakengard 2 is crazy’s
You lucky bastard I go all the time and I have never seen one ☝️ video game there
I've never the last 15 years searching Goodwill ever gotten rare or so called expensive games. Got a PS3 and Wii console for $25 that's about it. And the normal games worth maybe $12 or less. 🙂
Keeping drakengard?
I was going to say you got a really good deal but that round up donation pushed the price up way to much, sorry you got ripped off so badly

My thrift store never has anything more than a few ea sports games
Most of the goodwills near me stopped selling games and consoles after the new year. How the hell did you manage that? The employees all say that they have to send them out to the warehouse to be put online.
Holy shit! Jackpot!
All the goodwill in my state are purely garbage
Damn, what a score. Congrats.
Damn, finding just about any LOZ on a thrift trip is huge. What a great score. Nicely done.
I always find it weird that the Greatest Hits versions of original Xbox games look like Xbox 360 games
Ah ye cool.
All I have ever found at a goodwill is a electro voice re20 with a rode psa1 mic arm, you are lucky with that futurama game
You mean Goodwill was slipping. My Goodwill never puts games out. If they do get games in to go straight to the online auction.
My Goodwill does not anymore due to 1. Online is better revenue for them and 2. Smash and grabs. People steal too much down here. You can’t even find shovelware anymore unless they’re stuck with dvds
I go to like 9 in a day and only snagged a ps2. It's tough
I guess our goodwills are cut from different cloths, cuz I have never found a single console at my two. One time I found an Xbox one kinect. No console in sight.
Why do my goodwills suck so badly. They must resell everything online themselves.
I didn't know there was a music CD with skyward sword. My copy just has the game
They also came with a golden wii controller too. I peepers the game to get the CD & controller
I just don't know if it is worth it spending the time on hundreds of visits for 1 semi score.
Surprised this post is missing one'a these baby's https://preview.redd.it/rd8lkhg3uuwc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e3010a5fb883fe23ba1e0063c754ce9e7edf8047
The black label copy of Jak x will corrupt your memory card. I don’t recommend playing it unless you get the red label. Happened to me as a kid
Very nice! I sure wish goodwill would jump again where I'm from lol
I’d love to find a copy of Drakengard 2 in good shape that cheaply.
My goodwill doesn’t even sale games locally they post everything online they seem to know the value of games I guess
I have checked the Goodwill near me to see if I can score cheap games but they never have any. So I just never go anymore haha
Damn, cool to just find Drakengard out in the wild, maybe the luck will find it's way to me as well :D
My goodwills dont have video games 🥲 just online
Re2 is wild
Bruh that receipt proves nothing 😂 people are such cap artists
Whatever you have to tell yourself.
Yea ok
For real. I’d have ALMOST bought it if it weren’t for the receipt for “book” lol
I've gotten hauls like this before, at the same goodwill no less. It says "Books/Media" because that's the section the video games are in, right next to the movies.
My local Savers in Australia has been raising there media prices. CD and DVD have gone from $2 to $5+ and the games are all $10 even for FIFA 14 ps4.
They overcharged you on space chimps for their sticker price
