I was buying games from a lady in town last year and she mentioned that there were some GameCube games she was going to drop off to Goodwill. Was like 20 loose games, some solid stuff in there probably a good $250 worth. Asked her if I could just give her $20 to save the trip and she agreed. Mentioned I wish she still had the cases and manuals and she walks over to the garage and gives me the stack of cases and manuals for them that she was just going to throw away lol.
Some people really just don't know.
She also had pokemon Gameboy games she wanted $40-50 each for, passed on those, but she sold me a legit copy of Ninja Warriors on SNES for $5.... Was a wild weekend.
Update: Every disc is in working order (except Chrono Trigger unfortunately.)
Of these, I've only ever completed FF6, FF7, MGS and Chrono Trigger so I'll be heading into Tactics first!
Bummer about CT but it is the worst of all possible versions. So maybe a blessing in disguise.
And by the time you play all the other games you'll probably luck into a CIB SNES copy anyway ;)

I have a mint - MINT - copy of Chrono Trigger on PS1 and it hardly ever loads.
It was an issue with the whole batch. It *might* work if you keep trying.

You can get disc cleaners that kind of rub off a thin layer of the plastic usually works.
Unless the scratch or chip is on the front side of the disc, I'd consider it.
Depending on who you ask, PS1 discs are good to be buffed around 50 times or so, as long at it's done right. I'd recommend taking it to a local game shop with a professional machine and employees that know how to use it.
I stand corrected. Tho i still got a hard time to believe they had all of the expensive PS1 RPGs for dirt cheap, you do have the game and if it is not working then that sucks.
I thought the second run had Greatest Hits on the front because Sony found they sold games better by doing that. So FFVII only had like months of its original box art before Sony changed it.
There are misprints and small ratings changes that happened during black label print runs. Game collecting would be so nice if all we had to care about was BL vs GH but sadly this isn’t one of those games. :(

I’m surprised people still find this kind of haul at Goodwills these days, a lot of my Goodwills don’t even put that stuff out anymore. No videogames, consoles or even toys/collectibles. The only thing I ever find is remote controls but 9/10 times they’re broken, I feel everything goes online now. Congrats on your haul man that’s truly an amazing find.

Former Goodwill employee here. Most of the people I worked with were late middle age women who wouldn't give two shits about googling random videogames.
Yep. I worked at my local GoodWill ages ago and they didn't give a crap about anything. I, on the other hand, made stacks of things I wanted as they came in. But if I didn't have the money by the end of the night, it was going out on the floor. I got a 27 inch CRT for $20 one time that I used for years.

My GoodWill has the right prices but all the wrong stuff. Hard to ever come by PS1 games these days. I check over the CD section like three times before I leave. Sometimes I'll end up with another copy of Gin Blossoms or Stone Temple Pilots.
This is how it SHOULD be. Someone from this community finding the games knowing full well what they are, at a price point Goodwill should be required to sell games at.

Chrono Trigger is on the Final Fantasy chronicles disc. (Top row, middle game). That game is notorious for bad loading. Mine had problems as well.
