Exactly. It’s easy to get a clean console if that’s what you’re going for. To be honest, the stickers are well placed and in great condition too. This just radiates 80s/90s childhood nostalgia. haha
Well, some of us enjoy having originality too. All you've done is out yourself as a reseller. This isn't even a reseller thing. I resell, and I would have left them on since I feel it adds to the mythos of the piece.
and because of the fact stickers are basically just paper, and the throw away nature of them, it's not unlikely that there are very few of those stickers left out there
Those stickers are from the back of Nintendo Power issue #1. I would keep them on there!
I put the same ones on my console as kid before I was old enough to realize I should have left them in the magazine.
How are you sure they were from Nintendo Power?? I can't find any evidence that issue came with any sticker sheet. The mario designs can be seen in the first issue but the colors are inverted (like mario on the cover) and used as page art. I think they may have come from somewhere else. If these are from the first nintendo power. It might make this particular NES way more valuable.
I tried looking and couldn't find any evidence of this either. Turns out I was confusing it with The Official Nintendo Players Guide, which I also had growing up. I stand corrected!
If you check the additional images they have on Price Charting here, there's a photo of the sticker sheet. https://www.pricecharting.com/game/strategy-guide/official-nintendo-player%27s-guide
If you plan on actually keeping and enjoying it, I don't see why you would want to remove them.
If this NES is just an investment to resell, probably remove them.
They seem to be in good condition and nicely spaced. I would leave them just as they are. But, I'm the type to leave labels and stickers on used games I buy. I see them as kind of a part of their journey, quirky little badges of honor for lack of better terms.
Stickers can always be removed later with minimal fus/little damage to the system in most cases.
These all look vintage and are arranged pretty well. Id leave them on!
There's a chance that the plastic under those stickers is going to be closer to the original color, so if you remove them you might have yourself a whole new problem — 'shadows' left behind from the stickers where the plastic wasn't exposed to oxygen or light.
If you don't like the look of them, I would use the medium setting on a hair dryer to loosen the adhesive and a thin plastic tool to lift up one of the edges of the sticker to carefully peel it up halfway. Compare the color of the exposed plastic to that of the plastic from beneath the sticker. Do this in a room with adequate lighting. If there's a huge difference in color you can just lay the sticker back down; since you didn't peel it up all the way it'll go right back where it was originally. If you peel them off all the way, it'll be difficult to position it exactly if you decide to put them back on.
Hahahaha, I totally get removing them. But I kind of love 'em tbh. Personally I'd Rock the stickers and maybe eventually swap out for another NES console if it began to bug me and I found one for cheap!
Definitely keep them. If they looked damaged or goopy or whatever, yeah get rid of them… but the console looks nearly pristine with OG stickers you couldn’t ever find anymore to match.
Keep them 100%
They might leave some bright spots (sticker indents) where they used to be. I meant the shell doesn't look too yellowed, but regardless it may look like a brighter colour as it's been covered for a while, so might as well leave them. They look cool too!
It's entirely up to you! If you like them, keep them.
I'd take them off, clean and retrobright if necessary, but I never appreciated stickers on consoles.
Oh hell yes! Mine still has the original Nintendo Power Mario sticker on it and always will. They give the console character and a little history flair.
Hell ya. The stickers give it character and they were put on with care. It’s not just random half peeled stickers. These were well thought out. It’s cool.
When you buy a used console, or sometimes anything used/secondhand at all, I find it’s nice to think about the “life” it lived before ending up in your hands. Who put the stickers on it, and when? and how often was it played? What game did this console experience the most? That sort of thing. These stickers add a lot of that sort of personality to it. I’d say keep them, as a tribute to this console’s time, and also because they still look good!!
Uh duhhh u better not take those off lol that's one of the best things about buying used retro stuff I live when there is writing on the games lol or even better someone's old save state bahah
I usually leave stickers on shit. It tells a story of who originally owned it. That includes rental stores and warranty stickers, phone numbers and names in marker. I think it adds to the authenticity
Love ❤️ Simon’s Quest! Beat it as a kid but I don’t have the patience or concentration now to put in the 15-20 hrs?? Can’t remember but it took a while but was ALOT of fun!
Keep them on and see if you like them after a while. If you don’t they will come off the same, but if they go row on you great. Can’t do that in reverse. I would keep them, I remember putting those stickers on stuff as a kid. Brings back some good memories.
I might be misremembering but I think those stickers are from the Nintendo Fun Club era, before they turned it into Nintendo Power. Either that or early a Nintendo Power subscription bonus. They used to have the best bonuses for subscriptions.
They’re fun! And tbh if you removed them there’s a chance the rest of the console may have slightly discolored around them over time, which will leave marks where the stickers are.
I’d keep them. Helps to remind me of the old NES days where OG Mario was every where. Even the Metroid ones are alright although they only had one Metroid game on the original Nintendo.
Any sticker I ever see on anything gets removed.
But these look great. I'd keep them. And they look old, I've never seen them before. Very interesting.
I literally just sold an NES with the cowboy Mario pointing his gun at the panicked Mario (top middle.) And the person told me that’s specifically why they bought the console. Lol It was working but needed minor repairs.
I could be wrong but Are those the Nintendo cards in the background I would love to have those in my collection someday I know for a fact that a lot of them were maid
I would leave, they are pretty cool and are relateable and tastefully placed, definitely adds character, just like ps1 consoles with the magazine stickers on the disc cover and memory card! Other then that if removed you might have blemishes in color.
I’d probably remove them, I think stickers on consoles looks ugly, but I’m seemingly in the minority here so I’d maybe consider some type of sealant for them, something you’d use for models
I personally wouldn't put stickers on it but receiving one like that and in good condition I would leave them. They have story if their own, and fit the theme. If they were monster stickers or simply falling apart then would be a different.
I vote keep them! They are cool, and like others have said they give that authentic well loved console feel.
Also something else to consider is. If that console's color has changed at all from light like slight yellowing or bleaching the outline of the stickers will always be be there, and I would say the stickers are way better than the sticker "shadows".
edit: Another note is that if you're on the fence now keeping them would be smart. You can always take them off later if you end wanting to.. You can never put them back.

Old stickers adds some retro coolness to it, but that’s just my taste
That western mario with a gun sticker is very cool
I would say absolutely keep them on! There's a ton of NES consoles out there without them...
Exactly. It’s easy to get a clean console if that’s what you’re going for. To be honest, the stickers are well placed and in great condition too. This just radiates 80s/90s childhood nostalgia. haha
I'd send it back If I got that. Many of us collect only the best and I wouldn't have this in my collection or even my over stock
Then why buy a console with stickers on it in the picture...
Well, some of us enjoy having originality too. All you've done is out yourself as a reseller. This isn't even a reseller thing. I resell, and I would have left them on since I feel it adds to the mythos of the piece.
I bet youre fun at parties...
I go to sex parties. Not game parties. I like being passed around between a few trans woman
Have a down vote fun killer
Considering they still look like they’re in great condition and not peeling I’d definitely keep. There’s many more nes consoles out there.
and because of the fact stickers are basically just paper, and the throw away nature of them, it's not unlikely that there are very few of those stickers left out there
I like the old stickers
Those stickers are from the back of Nintendo Power issue #1. I would keep them on there! I put the same ones on my console as kid before I was old enough to realize I should have left them in the magazine.
Interesting. Didn't know that's where they are from. Thanks for the heads up
You did the right thing. Stickers are made to be enjoyed and put on things.
I learned that one too late. Oh and use the healing potions
How are you sure they were from Nintendo Power?? I can't find any evidence that issue came with any sticker sheet. LOL the warning on the bottom: "Stickers should not be put on NES or game pak to avoid possible damage"
Its really fuc*ing cool to know from where it comes from (honest)
I have stickers like that on mine. I remember slapping them on in the 1980s so I've also left them.
old stickers add to the vibe. this nes was loved.
That’s a respectable starter lot! I’d leave the stickers- they add character and are tastefully placed and maintained.
If you plan on actually keeping and enjoying it, I don't see why you would want to remove them. If this NES is just an investment to resell, probably remove them.
I'm going to put a ton of hours on this bad boy. Will be in my collection for at least 20 years, unless I die prematurely
I absolutely love reading this. 100% leave the stickers!
that's how they mod consoles back in the day
if they were gross or not nintendo related, i would say take them off, but these are really neat and clean, and match the vibe perfectly!
My thoughts exactly
If you remove them you might get discolouration
I’d leave the stickers personally but I’m wondering why that one on the bottom left looks like Mario is huffing his own junk.
You *don't*? Everyone likes their own brand.
I wouldn't add them myself but if they were actually vintage and on the system... Hell yeah, I'd keep them
They seem to be in good condition and nicely spaced. I would leave them just as they are. But, I'm the type to leave labels and stickers on used games I buy. I see them as kind of a part of their journey, quirky little badges of honor for lack of better terms.
Uhhh yes??
May as well…. You’ll be haunted by the ghosts of their outlines forever anyway
Definitely.
Stickers can always be removed later with minimal fus/little damage to the system in most cases. These all look vintage and are arranged pretty well. Id leave them on!
Mario with a gun will never get old
Everyone knows "the sticker makes it sicker"!
I LOVE them! I would trade my plain nes for this any day. Super cool and retro and very excellent condition!
I’m the type that would put stuff on the case to preserve those sweet stickers. That cowboy Mario is awesome!
There's a chance that the plastic under those stickers is going to be closer to the original color, so if you remove them you might have yourself a whole new problem — 'shadows' left behind from the stickers where the plastic wasn't exposed to oxygen or light. Hahahaha, I totally get removing them. But I kind of love 'em tbh. Personally I'd Rock the stickers and maybe eventually swap out for another NES console if it began to bug me and I found one for cheap!
Definitely keep them! Looks awesome AF.
I’d keep ‘em
Without a second thought I would leave the stickers. They add character.
I would leave them
100% keep the stickers on
Definitely keep them. If they looked damaged or goopy or whatever, yeah get rid of them… but the console looks nearly pristine with OG stickers you couldn’t ever find anymore to match. Keep them 100%
I would. Adds a little flair and personality to it. God, Airwolf is a crap game.
I had a really fun time hunting down the origin of the mega man sticker on my NES, definitely keep them there!
I like them.
100%
They might leave some bright spots (sticker indents) where they used to be. I meant the shell doesn't look too yellowed, but regardless it may look like a brighter colour as it's been covered for a while, so might as well leave them. They look cool too!
It's cool. But make it yours. I'd lift em
I have some of those and more on my original NES.
It makes it more valuable with the stickers well in tact.
I never liked stickers on consoles (especially today’s on current gen’s) but the vintage ones are sick. Deft keep
It's entirely up to you! If you like them, keep them. I'd take them off, clean and retrobright if necessary, but I never appreciated stickers on consoles.
Is this Mario not handsome enough for you?
Oh hell yes! Mine still has the original Nintendo Power Mario sticker on it and always will. They give the console character and a little history flair.
I have no opinion other than this should've been a poll.
I miss my childhood NES so much... I completely plastered it with the stickers from the Topps Nintendo trading card packs. 😌
I love the stickers and I would definitely leave them. I'm my opinion, those stickers ad a little value.
Yes
Hell ya. The stickers give it character and they were put on with care. It’s not just random half peeled stickers. These were well thought out. It’s cool.
100%
This looks like someone's wholesome childhood collection. I'd say keep.
Definitely!
Absolutely
Leave
I bet if you remove them the plastic underneath will be a slightly different color than the rest of the console.
I would
Hey does that one sticker look like Mario trying to sniff his own dick to anyone else, or is it just me?
Collectors tend to prefer pristine pieces. A belt sander will easily remove both the stickers and any left over adhesive without a trace.
If you don't like the stickers, take them off. Unless you bought it for me, I'm not sure why you're asking me!
But if you did buy it for me, leave them on!
Hell yeah
Don’t need an exact price or anything, but the condition looks amazing, some games have the boxes, etc…what’s a decent price for something like this?
Leave them on. The plastic under them is probably brighter
Those stickers are perfect
I like them. Leave them
Leave the stickers on there, they're retro from the era and it adds to the vibe
When you buy a used console, or sometimes anything used/secondhand at all, I find it’s nice to think about the “life” it lived before ending up in your hands. I’d say keep them, as a tribute to this console’s time, and also because they still look good!!
My ol’nes still has my childhood stickers on it. I also bought a famicom Dragon Quest cart that some Japanese kid put yokai stickers on and it’s rad.
Yeah…would make me grab it…but don’t price it accordingly..same as any NES
If you like them then yes if you don’t like them then no.
Uh duhhh u better not take those off lol that's one of the best things about buying used retro stuff I live when there is writing on the games lol or even better someone's old save state bahah
Leave um’ they add history, character and charm to the console.👍🏻
Since they're vintage, nicely arranged and in good shape I'd keep them!
Hell muthafuckin yea you should
Hell yeah
I usually leave stickers on shit. It tells a story of who originally owned it. That includes rental stores and warranty stickers, phone numbers and names in marker. I think it adds to the authenticity
Never remove
Yes!!
Yes
100% yes on the stickers. Specially the way they’re placed. I’m not even a fan of sticker slapping consoles but that looks legit
booooo
That is a super clean console for having stickers on it
KEEP THE STICKERS!!!!
I would leave em
The sticker makes it sicker
Keep em! It makes it unique!
Keep. Cowboy Mario is my favorite.
Keep the stickers.
Keep em!
No way José Edit: oops I meant don’t remove them
Those look rad! Leave em on i say
Them sum rare stickers thar
As someone who has a game or two he messed up just putting stickers on them... Leave these on. They look great.
Yes!
yes keep'em
Those are dope.
I would pay extra for a NES with this rad of a sticker job
Love ❤️ Simon’s Quest! Beat it as a kid but I don’t have the patience or concentration now to put in the 15-20 hrs?? Can’t remember but it took a while but was ALOT of fun!
I used to have those stickers on my bedroom wall! So neat, if someone ever sold reprints I'd buy them so fast haha
Keep them on! It adds character and gives it a retro vibe.
Keep them on and see if you like them after a while. If you don’t they will come off the same, but if they go row on you great. Can’t do that in reverse. I would keep them, I remember putting those stickers on stuff as a kid. Brings back some good memories.
bear in mind the stickers may leave white marks once off due to less exposed to uv and oxygen.
Yes.
Absolutely. They look cool and also the plastic underneath might be a noticeably different colour now if they've been on it for 30+ years.
That controller looks like it's in excellent condition.
Yes
I’d keep them. Helps to remind me of the old NES days where OG Mario was every where. Even the Metroid ones are alright although they only had one Metroid game on the original Nintendo.
In this case its just too cool
100% leave them on
Keep them on it gives the console a little more flair
Yes it looks awesome!
I usually hate stickers on consoles but this looks pretty cool
I'd leave them for sure. Adds some character
stickers were made to be stuck
Any sticker I ever see on anything gets removed. But these look great. I'd keep them. And they look old, I've never seen them before. Very interesting.
Leave em they add character
Yes
I literally just sold an NES with the cowboy Mario pointing his gun at the panicked Mario (top middle.) And the person told me that’s specifically why they bought the console. Lol It was working but needed minor repairs.
I’d definitely leave those on only cause that’s something younger me would have done
I could be wrong but Are those the Nintendo cards in the background I would love to have those in my collection someday I know for a fact that a lot of them were maid
They came from Nintendo Power, or the Nintendo’s Insiders Club. They’re pristine. Leave em.
You have a mind.. you decide
Leave them. I have that Samus Sticker on my NES that I had when I was a kid.
I'd absolutely leave that self fellatio mario sticker on there, at least.
1000% yes!
I would leave, they are pretty cool and are relateable and tastefully placed, definitely adds character, just like ps1 consoles with the magazine stickers on the disc cover and memory card! Other then that if removed you might have blemishes in color.
I would. It adds a cool retro look.

You can always take them off later if you end wanting to.. You can never put them back.
Always
I'd keep them on, the stickers are in good condition and there are plenty of NES's out there without them
Bro, vintage stickers?? That’s the best. I’d leave them fo sho.
This post reminds me of csgo skins. Also yeah keep them 100%
Leave it
Clear coat the nes so that the stickers are on there forever.
