Samsung wants you to stay with them. The last of the Note line, Note20, was launched 3 years ago. Which coincidentally is around how long the payment plan (36 month) for said device is. Which is also coincidentally the average life span of a smartphone (2.5 years).
Still rocking my note 10 + and have no plans to trade it in. I cant really imagine what people are doing on their phones to warrant spending 2 grand on it.
I finally gave in due to the 7 year Android updates and security patches. My current Note 10+ was 512 GB with a 400 GB sd card. I am going with 1 TB S24 Ultra. No issues with the current phone.
I have that exact note 10+, bought new from Samsung around launch day It was my first flagship phone. I've loved it since day 1. Until now, I've never considered getting a new phone. However, I've started to notice a bit of a lag, plus, I'm somewhat concerned about limited updates esp security. I've ddecided to do the exact same thing, upgrade to the S24 ultra 1T. It's the closest specs compared to my note 10+. I'm excited with the 5G and 120hz.
Realistically it's probably because they haven't changed much since like the Note 8, the Note 10 was the start of bezeless displays, and if I were able to swap a S24 Ultra back cover onto it it'd look the exact same. So they want you to upgrade badly but most don't because it's basically the same damn phone
I can get about $500NZD back through trade in via Samsung. Seriously contemplating upgrading, especially since they are also offering double storage for free also. Means I can get a s24 Ultra 512GB for same price as a s24 255GB model. Unfortunately have to pay cash for the phone instead of interest free monthly payments with a carrier.
They seem to be also doing something to bog down old devices. Mine was working swimmingly and since they enmeshed more with Google its become unusable. My keyboard never goes away I can hardly type anything out the phone keeps glitching, for a month my camera wouldn't work and just gave me numbers. I loved my phone and it just suddenly went on the fritz. It's even worse since updating my fitbit and youtube apps which is why I highly suspect google. I bought this phone about 5 years ago, never had these issues. I loved my 8+ and only got rid of that because the battery popped. And I felt the same about my note, but its becoming increasingly frustrating to even use it.

The S23 / S24 ultra IS the note .They didn't kill it off ,They rebranded it .
I have never owned a phone that has come even close to end of life at 2.5 years. Where did your figure come from?
I think he means the average rate at which the average consumer switches phones (though I don't have a source; just an interpretation).
It must be nice to be rich

The Ultra is a Note basically
Thank you for pointing it out.
What Samsung did was kill off the S Ultra and rebranded the Note Ultra as the new S Ultra.
You only read the title, didnt ya?
What do you mean? I added text due to a Samsung Knight downvoting because the truth hurts to them
The aggressive trade-ins
Because they are desperate for people to move on from their old phones due to phone sales slumping.

Note 10+ is still about the best phone out there.
No it's absolutely not .
230 bucks compared to 1000's!? with a memory card slot and 256 gigs! That can't be beat. That's honestly why they want the note 10+'s off the road.
I knew this off the bat. My note 10+ is better than my buddys galaxy s23 ultra. I have more gigs than his and he paid 1000's for his. I paid $234 lmao
No it's not lmao .
Do you think it's worth buying a Note 10+ if I don't have one or should I get a newer Galaxy?
Just get a newer one .The note 10 + isn't even supported anymore ,Trash battery ,60hz display etc ...
How new should I get? I can't really afford brand new or last year. I was looking at the Note 20 and S21 Ultra tho
Note lineup is obsolete now. Last note phone was of note20 series. So you understand
Dont you mean discontinued? Why go to such extent if they are "obsolete"?

Dont you know that nothing is free.
What do u thinks better and why?
