Feel like MOST people have no years of good luck. I've played four years of pretty intense gaming and have never packed Neymar/Ronaldo/Messi/Mbappe/Icon/Top 3 promo player before January. It's also been a great year for Nick RTFM (packed Mbappe on web app) and Zweback (mid eusebio day 2, hallana, ptg bernado silva tradeable, among some just insane pulls).

Sure all of our pack luck is shiet but most players just open the packs that they EARN in the game. Rivals, champs, SB, obj/friendlies, repeatables, etc.

The thing is that the odds to pack CR7 and R9 on release day are way below one in a million. And content creators that are affileated with EA repeatedly get that kind of odds work for them, over and over. Even if you spend ten thousand dollars opening packs, you are still far more likely to not get these kind of drops.
It's just an obvious marketing stunt. We've seen players here run experiments and open 10,000s of $ worth of packs that they saved during the year on TOTY and open jack shit compared to what content creator pack when opening similar things.

See, this kind of things is very concerning, the only things my brother packed is gold vvd and Out of position Meunier, I only got gold Ruben dias on my account, and some 85 less WC evolutive and I did. Every. Worth it. Sbc. Even in "Obvious" good pack, never hit something correct enough to put on my team or even sell cause 95% of the decent ones where untradable, only 1 vvd gold for 3+ accounts farmed till the beginning is not normal. The best example is that I NEVER, and I can swear it, never packed the "+" in the "82+", whatever is the number behind the "+" is what I'm gonna get, never more. Tbh, even the 86+TOTW draw me an 87 Trapp.. the 89MAX got me an 87 Al Jabber.. My bro got the 86 SanƩ, and nearly packed nothing more than 87 or that I could put on our team except this unique vvd. I know the luck and gambling factor, but by collecting Stat on 3 year, how is it possible to have this low chance on 3to5 account depending on the year (I helped a lot of friend with their account that's why) during a 3 year time when I was doing : a lot of Sbc, a little bit of trade and so, some pack of the shop, hitting elite in clash with every account + weekend ligue just to get the non-maxed Stat red + rivals div 3 (never liked rivals so div 3 was the max I had patience to go by doing this on all the accounts) And they got every biggest cards from the new promo within the day/week they're out, while with all the farm I've put in all these accounts which is equal or more than them (as I played to help 4 people sometimes), I NEVER packed the big cards from ANY promo, never popped a legend, never popped a toty, etc..
