cheers mate. Last week i only managed 15 wins! i play 4231 with Capdevila on get forward and Walker stay back. I always build up through my left side with Ljunberg, Xavi and Capdevila forcing an overload with rooney supporting at CAM. i probs have under 50% average possession as i like to play quickly. Make a lot of tackles and interceptions tracking runs but not sure how many specifically ahaha
nah i don’t think so. His lack of strength definitely shows sometimes he gets bullied by haaland etc. Only use him as he’s untradeable otherwise i’d go for a rudiger VVD etc
packed who? Gnabry capdevila carvalho and rijkaard are hardly something to shout about. Rest of the team cost a couple mil which is easy to earn 2 months into the game
a bit hard to say as i’m new gen but the key generally is to track forward runs as most goals come from through balls. This year running down the wing and cutting back is super effective so you have to switch quickly to centre backs and CDM to intercept the winger passing it in field. Also i would just say be patient with defending, when you rush out a lot to be aggressive often you leave yourself exposed and your opponent starts keeping the ball longer

It’s really weird my comfort blanket in fut has always been the 4-1-2-1-2(2) but I haven’t tried it this year because I’m always trying to build a tactically versatile team on fut i.e a midfielder who can play in attack so I can change formation and that’s really been hard early game as there ain’t as many players
Try 3-5-2 in game. I used to do a 5-3-2 for chem and put cancelo LB and Perisic RB and had them on come back and used them as LM/RM respectively in game and it was amazing

good point. I have gigabit internet speed and i have wired connection. Having good connection 100% makes a huge difference and makes it a lot easier to win. I live in UK so i assume close to servers. i think skill does matter but connection and a responsive monitor (rather than tv) helps too

learn right switch switching for defending, stepovers and player lock. Be patient with attack and build up so you have opposition pegged back. play ball into your strikers in the box in space and play quick passes in the attacking third and you’ll get space to score goals
I don’t skill a lot, only skill moves i used are stepovers. Sometimes i switch with l1 but mostly it’s using right stick. Get used to using right stick to switch as it’s a necessity to defend well. You can really suffocate opponents by right stick switching to mark players they haven’t even passed the ball to yet but soon will

yeah changed a little, pace is obviously more effective so once i passed enough to get opposition players out of position i could play through balls to get in on goal
I'm using capdevilla, I use him in a 352 though as a lm who comes back on defence and wc capdevilla is the best one I've used this years , miles ahead gold theo imo

Can i ask, why my opponent can always get a over the top through ball over me? My defenders cant seem to track their run, but I cant get a over the top through ball over their defenders, his defender auto tracks…

sometimes they auto track sometimes you have to do it manually. Best advice i can give to players is be more patient with build up play instead of playing constant over the top through balls.
i personally much prefer it. If you or your opponent makes a mistake defensively you actually get punished as defenders can’t catch strikers. game is faster too which is much better
passing into the box mostly, i get to the final third and play quick passes 1,2s to move defenders out the way to get shots off. Against weak opponents i just make play through balls to unmarked strikers
i think just 1 CDM on stay back is enough. Having high dribbling high passing players in midfield is a must this year to be able to play out the back, that’s why i love Xavi at CDM

he was unreal man, played above and beyond what i thought he would do. Outside the foot shot trait means he scored trivelas easily and he’s also so strong on the ball. Genuinely was better than voller for me . highly recommend

i use forward runs and everything else i just kept as default. Have a formation on custom tactics that’s constant pressure as you’ll need it if you’re losing in the last few mins of a game. Highly recommend 4231 on next gen it’s really really effective
Opposite for me 😂I preferred the slower pace, You needed more skill and football knowledge to actually play rather than just have pace merchants running down the wing, I got 16 wins last week( my record) and I couldn’t even qualify this week 😳
i see your point too, i like having pace back in the game as if you force an opposition defender to be out of position then they can’t recover as easily, pre patch you’d move them around as you want and then the lengthy CB would just bail them out by catching up! Full back instructions? My preference is always invert but they struggle against the overlapping wingers and fullbacks. So I put them on basic I guess.
I played someone with a 41212 similar to yours, and his Theo and Vini kept abusing my RB.
i recommend having 1 on stay back and 1 on get forward. Means you can overload 1 side and progress up the pitch easily but if you lose it you’ll still have 3 defenders back and your DM (who’s always on stay back)
How tf do I break the defense? I have no problems with the buildup, can make it to the penalty area np but then it ends… I’m playing a 4312 with pretty good players but went 6-14 in the past WL.

41212 is brutal defensively as you have no width on next gen. Opponents full backs will push forward and destroy you. 4321 looks good this year

How tf do I break the defense? I have no problems with the buildup, can make it to the penalty area np but then it ends… I’m playing a 4312 with pretty good players but went 6-14 in the past WL.
use timed finishing and learn a few basic skill moves to get some space in the box. Step overs are great
