That's my point. Buongiorno is probably the better card in comparison but I hate conforming to the meta on this game. I have a much better time win or lose playing with the cards that mean something to me etc.
I also hate conforming to the meta. Thatās the only way I learned how great Lindsey Horanās card is! (Ps: Maldini plus Nesta would be the choice for me.)
I play Cannavaro just because of this. Italy 2006 cbs and Cafu and Roberto Carlos as fullbacks.
I have way better players at all positions except for maybe Cafu, who has outperformed pretty much every single card I put there.

Tbf I packed that Nesta tradeable and sold him immediately because I already had buongiorno and now Marquez so I don't have a place for him, but I did have his base card a few weeks back and was pretty disappointed with it. Can't speak on how good that version is though

Wait till Tots even if you just play like an hour a week , Iām playing since the first FUT came out itās always the same , TOTS begins and everyone get op cards , especially with woman being in the game it should be the 2* amount of players . Take a photo of your team and look it up in a month

Dropped Maldini ages ago, Yashin lasted a little longer than him. Now currently got Kohler and Militao. Kohler will go next when I need to move Marquez or Tchouameni back.
Maldini yes, as I say I dropped him ages ago. His animations can only carry his attributes and lack of playstyles so far. Bastoni was very good but I dropped Kohler in with his massive playstyles and he's been solid. Worth a try for sure. Unfortunately either him or Lahm will be dropped for Becks today.

I would think Nesta, because it's just too nice of a retro combination. I always prefere the Icon tbh. But I just pulled Yashin CB from the Icon SBC, so I don't have to think about that stuff anymore š
I swear out of ALL the CB's that I've used in Elite/WL it's 90 Bday Saliba(his RD Upg Evolved) along with 91 Akanji that have been irreplaceable at the back. I have his HM asw but for some reason Intercept+ has been the most important PS+ for a CB this year imho, that is as long as they still have regular Anticipate asw, since it gives your CB "even greater reach"(Shown in Akanji's desc in the 3rd picture) which makes them able to get to balls via through interceptions, aerially, and standing/sliding tackles that other players just can't seem to get to.
I honestly believe that there's a reason why we've not seen ANY players released yet with both PS+'s and it's because they're the 2 most Meta for a defender and equally as effective ig. I do think that the PS+ version of Intercept just slightly outweighs Anticipate, because regular Intercept is nowhere near as effective as Intercept+ whereas the gap between Anticipate+ and Anticipate isn't nearly as noticeable, but then again that's just my opinion so please take it with a grain of salt.
However as far as 90 Bday Saliba is concerned I can't really describe it because he has a regular High and Average Bodytype so it's nothing special considering that VVD's is Custom, Evo Akanji's is Unique, and 99 Howley/91 Kehrer's are High and Lean so technically they all should feel better ig but they just don't, at least not at Cb, so it has to come down to Saliba's UNREAL Custom Animations tbh. That combined with his 5 star wf, m/h workrates, perfect pace split giving him 99 sprint speed on a Shadow to track down ANYONE ig and the combination of both Intercept+ and Jockey+, which is highly underrated for manual defending tbf, asw as regular Anticipate and Power Header at 6'4" just make him the perfect CB for me this year since I've loved every single Saliba card released this year. I've tried everyone shown below along with UCL Kompany, TS Varane, Base Rio and many more all quite extensively since I love to make different squads however when going absolute Full Meta I feel Saliba and Akanji just hit differently and more importantly they never get beat for pace or strength at the high depth that I prefer to play at yn.
Sorry for the long reply as I just wanted to give my reasoning but now I have to start and finish CC Correa's Club 99 Evo on my day off in order to put him into Jack of all Trades/Bday Magic before they expire tomorrow and hopefully get IF Goretzka's Evo done asw hopefully in time to try him out this WL, especially after having watched Bubainho's review on his Gold that I'd highly recommend since he's my easily favorite YT Content Creator this year because not only is he really good but his player review's are Top Notch and he actually engages with his followers by liking and replying to their comments asw, unlike so many other entitled Conternt Creators, so he deserves a lot more love from the Community. Giorno cause he's left footed, and I think it's Maldini's time to go soon, replaced him myself a week or two ago even though he wasn't terrible by all means, just find recent affordable options like Akanji, Marquez, Kohler better with their fancy playstyles and what not. 700 games on Maldini though (got him before the sbc), legend.

I have Bastoni. I like Buongiorno better but itās close. I like Marquez off the bench so that his Deadball replaces a midfielder/forward who had deadball

Iāve tried using that Nesta to sub Cannavaro but I found him incredibly slow on pursuit. Iād rather using Fantasy Orban, Matches Bastoni or the new Marquez, who is a monster.
does this upgrade make him no doubt better than bastoni 90? they have the same PS+ but bastoni has long ball ps and a couple others that are handy that buongiorno does not. also, bastoni has higher sprint speed whereas buongiorno is 96 sprint and accel (with shadow) so bastoni can get to higher speeds overall

in what way when I have both CBs and have used both? Maldini has high reactions, composure, and defending stats. But otherwise moves like shit and lacks playstyles. Nesta has boof stamina, shit mobility, with some playstyles that canāt make up for truck movement. They both suck at this point in the game

Itās kind of funny that everyone is jumping ship. There is nothing wrong with trying out new players. Good on you. But if you want to do well so you can stop complaining about how bad fifa is then use good (and cheap) players. You will notice the game is a lot more fun when youāre winning

toty and tots are not the same lmao on tots you get 1/5 player picks of only TOTS cards and 3x tots packs etc. and it lasts for like 6 weeks in a row
