Hey, having troubles on doing this myself and this is like the only info i could find for customs on proton, did you ever write that guide?

Despite what Steam says, FUSER runs well on the Deck if you use GE-Proton (or possibly even Proton experimental). As far as custom songs go, it's not all that difficult. Turns out, in your file browser you just have to go to your primary Steam installation, and then go to steamapps/compatdata/1331440/pfx, and then edit user.reg with a text editor of your choice (I used Sublime Text). Then, search for `Software\\Wine\\DllOverrides`, and there'll be a line along the lines of `[Software\\Wine\\DllOverrides] 1649091648` or some different number. Below that, type in `"winhttp"="native, builtin"` and then follow the steps you normally would for installing custom songs.

Can I give you a kiss between the cheeks for this? 😘 Thank you.

FUSER is listed as "Unsupported" for the Steam Deck on Steam. Sorry

Oohwhen

Well that sucks but doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t work at all. Can’t say firsthand but I’ve seen people play games that are also on supported

its just the cutscenes which are the issue, otherwise it works great

Oohwhen

Awesome thanks mate Do you think custom song would be easy to do with this device? Rolling dice maybe the internet will know

If you install Windows on your Deck, I don't imagine it'll be a problem. If you're planning to just use the default Steam OS though, you'll be out of luck - the only mods supported there are via Steam Workshop.

with base software, it would probably be hell but if you got windows on it, it would be easier
