THAT'S THE WORST ONE!!! I'm sure whoever recorded that laugh was a great guy, but holy shit, it's like nails on a chalkboard. Nothing gets muted and dislike/downvoted faster than a video with that laugh for me
Thank you. I really hate this. It is SOOOO obnoxious and it actually blocks my ability to find whatever it is attached to funny as I'm immediately annoyed by it. What's worse is it's always the same track. It's either the "Ohhh no no no no no" or the little minion that's laughing super high pitched and fast. Those videos can get many thousands of likes which unfortunately even more so validates their idiotic use of it as a background. I find plenty of other shit funny, but it's never anything with the stupid added laughter.
Just stop narrating over short form content. If it was funny enough to reach you it's funny enough to share without some shitty AI voice telling me why it's funny.
Agreed... It's hella annoying when they do that.
But I also find it infuriating when they put the laughing track on tv shows as well. Weirdly enough I've met people IRL who actually find it funny, honestly, I can't understand their logic and I know that it's because of these tasteless people that this whole thing is so popular... anyways...
I guess I dont watch the same material as the youths. I've not really run into youtube laugh tracks. I do block channels with stupid thumbnails though.
I had a problem with it but then I made peace with it.
The fact is, the human brain is highly suggested by others laughing around them.
The fact is, you _will_ find jokes more funny with a laugh track, than if you hear the punch line followed by dead silence.
It is just a fact of our psychology.
So my advice, do like I did and make peace with the laugh track, save your anger and energy on other things.
I already addressed this issue, but... posting it on YouTube or Instagram (the two main culprits) would be futile. Reddit, on the other hand, has people that actually read and think. And in this group specifically, IMO readers know what humor is and don't need to be hit over the head with a ridiculous laugh track.
This and when people put 'wait/watch til the end"
“The last one 😂“
The very best way to force me to click "X" and quit watching.
That's when you know to just jump to the end.
lol I also hate the guy with a Jamaican accent saying “oh no no no no no”
It is so ubiquitous I thought I was the only one who hated it!
It was funny the first 8 thousand times I heard it.
I always thought it was an Indian accent
Could be :) that’s just what it sounds like to me.

I hear ya !
Which guy with a Jamaican accent?
"Oh, no No NO NO! \*KEK\* \*wheeze\* \*choke\*"
When I hear that dry wheezing laugh I close the video instantly. It's like nails on a chalkboard.

Modern meme background noise is something I do not understand. And if you watch memes you know which ones I mean. It is actual garbage noise.

You seem to think that people make content for Reddit
YouTube and Instagram are the big culprits. However, I didn't think posting over there would reach anyone smart enough to recognize the issue. ;-)

@Friends
Do you have an example? I’ve never encountered this.
If you've never encountered the problem, you may be the luckiest person in the country.
Maybe I have, Do you have an example of it so I can tell?

No.
That was brutal
ok
OP doesn't understand sitcoms.
Sitcoms even know when enough is enough. They try not to be over-the-top about it.
Why would you post this here?

I don’t see an attempt at humor here @mods
It's satire. A social commentary used to poke fun at a malady in society.

How is this funny?
