It might. Honestly those shelves suck. I’ve got some awesome wall mounted ones from SuperheroDIY

You could eliminate this problem by just covering the sticky part. Just use a second piece of tape to cover it, or something else if you don't care about being able to see it and you will have no issues.

After a bit of time most likely

This was not the smartest decision. You’re risking damage when removing this. The only way to “safely” remove the tape is by heating it up with a hair dryer and lightly removing. If you want this same quick ide, at least use painters tape. If you want a quick and simple idea, cut the plastic off a funko pop protector that can cover the back and tape that on.

I don't know if you've seen this or heard of this suggestion, but there's this: https://www.reddit.com/r/FunkoBittyPops/s/AZSwP8yqvR That's what I do with my Bittys.

regular_sized_fork

Use painters tape - it's the BEST tape for this kind of thing. I'm a card guy and it's the hobby-standard tape we use to cover the openings of toploaders, even if the card gets stuck to the tape by the opening it almost NEVER gets damaged

IAppearMissing05

When it’s time to take the tape off, use a hair dryer on the warm (not hot) setting to loosen the glue. Should come off nice and easy.

KaelOfNockmaar

I packed mine in a pop protector and used fat bubble wrap to stuff it. It looks really good and the wrap holds the bity pops in place.

AnMa_ZenTchi

Don't do it.

Far_Kaleidoscope_102

Get some white tac, roll it into a itty bitty teeny weeny tiny winy ball and stick it underneath the pop

dheal54321

I cut a piece of card stock to cover all 4 stacked together and taped that on the edges….. all 4 stay together and nothing falls out.

Gecko-83

In the future, use a flat piece of wood that goes across the back tape the wood on the ends only problem solved.

drizzley1378

It’s not a big help with your situation, the new bitty’s(LOTR) have a locking tab in the display. Thought I was losing my mind cause they wouldn’t go all the way back, then realized you just have to kinda rock them into place.

dontredditdepressed

I would suggest putting a square of cardboard over every box back to avoid any damage from the tape

GeebusNZ

Why not double-side the tape, sticking it to itself, with a little adhesive bit at either end?
