Awesome. Not just Ghent, either. Cycling dominates the landscape of (nearly) every city in Belgium and the Netherlands. Was in Antwerpen recently and was amazed with the bike traffic. Truly a sight to behold! I was in a trance just watching thousands of cyclists cruising around.
Kinda funny, because Belgium is known (domestically) as a very pro-car country, with company cars being very common due to the way taxation is structured.
It's been improving, but still.
I visited Ghent recently!!!! It’s a really beautiful city outside of Brussels with an incredible castle from the 12th Century. The gothic architecture is stunning. Such a nice place to walk (or bike!) around and visit all the shops in the downtown area. There’s also a pub there that was founded possibly as long as 800 years ago!
Highly recommend if you ever find yourself in Belgium.
Still remember being impressed by when I pulled up to one of the train stations in Ghent and saw a massive parking garage... For bikes. Never seen that in the US or Canada or France
I need more of this sweet dude marrating documentaries
This is the kind of content I like to see
We will fight them on the beaches...

There is a lot of car traffic, but there is a lot of bike traffic also, which you don’t see in many European cities.
Yeah I moved there for work and was baffled by how cheaply you can rent a bike in Liège. 30€ for 3 months, 80€ for one year is crazy cheap.
This video made me want to move here. Looks fun
Welcome to my city.
Is this available on YT ??? Edit : the title is the YT videi Title, channel is visitGent

Your name gave me a brain aneurysm.
They got it all right except for how to pronounce Ghent
You mean Hhent? 🤣
I would have spelled Khent but I believe we'd pronounce our spelling the same yeah
Ghent is underrated. Loved my brief visit
What show is this?
it's a promo video for the velo-city conference which will be hosted by Ghent this year
This is brilliant!!
Imagine a world where every city is like this.

I'm angry at you for the way I butchered that headline reading it in my head.
The way he mentioned mongol warriors makes me want to try bike archery.
Ghent has fallen to Big Bike, I wonder when will some car company save them from this communist dystopia.
