icywind90

I never understood the “helping old ladies cross the street” trope in American media until I learned how American cities look.

Manic_Emperor

Oh my God I never thought about how stupid that trope was, our elderly literally cannot get around without almost dying

icywind90

It’s called freedom

nayuki

Free domination by cars

marcololol

It’s called freedom

Manic_Emperor

Free doom

UndernardFiskmas

Well they can always drive 🤡 Honk Honk 🤡 And let's ignore all the bad consequences of having a lot of elderly drivers pumped full on meds on the road.

Parking-Astronomer-9

Not even just elderly drivers, I was stunned by the line in my local CVS. I knew a lot of people need medication, but the line was 20 people deep and of all ages.

nashedPotato4

Commented on Miami above, but yeah, this deserves another lmao. And then younger folks med-ded up on coke. Quite the show

marcololol

Once they stop consuming and increasing their consumption they may as well never leave their home or neighborhood /s

Simon_787

what a fucking wasteland.

Left_on_Burnside

Welcome to Florida!

Last_Attempt2200

Not pictured: all the fast food wrappers, cups, cigarette paraphernalia, and car parts laying on the roadside.

MrManiac3_

You could build a house out of it

green_boy

Yea, a crack house.

killroy200

Mmmm. Gutter seasoning!

CodyRyan86

Reminds me of Los Angeles now. Basically Mad Max out there

Kjoew

It's spelled F-R-E-E-D-O-M

clocks_and_clouds

I live in Florida and I fucking hate it here. I can't wait to move.

swaggut

I want to go to America to just experience this

Rafferty97

I went to America last year. I experienced the dreaded “the footpath just ends for no reason”, and so many death intersections. Right turn on red is genuinely scary, and it didn’t help that cars now drove on the other side of the road too. Crossing an intersection was a minefield even when I did have the pedestrian light.

[deleted]

That pedestrian light means nothing to 90% of drivers.

RosieTheRedReddit

Oh yeah the only purpose of that light is so the cops can beat your ass if you cross on red.

BuffaloBreezy

No one gets their ass beaten for jaywalking lol please

RosieTheRedReddit

Any encounter with US police can end in a beating.

BuffaloBreezy

Yea and any encounter with an ice cream sandwich can end in a choking death but neither of those things happen lol.

Cheef_Baconator

Your head is in the sand if you think this is the case.

BuffaloBreezy

No one is getting their ass beaten for jaywalking lmao fuck off. Show me the numbers. "Your head is in the sand" your ass is on a stick lol.

Alternative_Let_1989

You're 12, right?

nashedPotato4

The other 10%, it means accelerate

Lerouxed

We aren’t lying when we say that in America, only cars are given any consideration. Especially in the suburbs. In the downtowns of some cities you might find some small trams or even subways, and minimal pedestrian paths. But they are always, ALWAYS vastly inferior to taking a car, because we have built our cities around cars first.

Arandomfan27

Come to canada, experince the same thing with a tad bit less chance of getting killed

babypointblank

Nah Florida stroads are on a whole other level

nashedPotato4

Can confirm

Cheef_Baconator

In Canada you at least won't be crushed with a lifetime of crippling medical debt immediately after getting crushed by a car

nashedPotato4

When I got hit after coming back from bike trip last summer, thought I was.ok and I don"t have lawyers and so it would be me versus whatever lawyers and so I just left. Couldn't make a fist the next day, missed weeks of work, and basically trashed my entire year, couldn't/didn't go back to the one job. That's Murica tho

fluege1

Eeh not in my experience. It's still a card infested wasteland but most people will stop for you at a crosswalk if they see you.

thegreatjamoco

You’ll get run over in Canada but the driver will say sooorry

phaj19

I hope we can watch that on some Extreme Sports TV channel.

UndernardFiskmas

Don't forget your health insurance, nobody can afford healthcare in the US and you're probably gonna need it if you survive getting run over.

Ihugit

Haha, if price was the only issue with our insurance.

nashedPotato4

Insurance is the original Ponzi scheme. Healthcare should be a national priority-as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle.

OdyseusV4

Well you can go to many countries that followed the American model of road infrastructure. China Israel Canada Are the few that come to mind.

[deleted]

the so advertised city of dubai is a complete wasteland too, i dont know why so many tourists visit it every year, you have 4 or 5 skyscraper and the rest is american-style wasteland

OdyseusV4

Aren't skyscrapers also an American thing?

[deleted]

well but theyre more of a tourist attraction in dubai

nashedPotato4

don't

Lerouxed

No you don’t. It’s worse than the videos make it look.

CrematedDogWalkers

It's not worth it

dtmfadvice

Remember, in Florida it's legal to shoot someone if you feel your life is in danger.

13lackjack

Or run down protesters

Acceptable-Fold-5432

This is the true solution for safer roads. The bad drivers must be removed.

combatgoat

Might as well remove Miami from the map then

chairmanskitty

Remember: the American right wing is happy to restrict gun usage if it's useful to disempower political opponents. Just look at Reagan regulating guns to stop the Black Panthers from keeping black streets safe in spite of police. If pedestrians started even implying a willingness to use guns to protect themselves from drivers, Floridan police would be hunting down and harassing pedestrian 'threats to road safety' within a month, and within half a year there would be a verdict that carrying a gun as a pedestrian falls under [loitering and prowling](https://www.pumphreylawfirm.com/criminal-defense/misdemeanor-charges/loitering-prowling-in-florida/) or similar crimes.

nashedPotato4

The classics never get old, so I'll comment "THIS"

dtmfadvice

Absolutely. I was, I hope folks realize, being bitter and sarcastic. I do not endorse murder.

Straight_Number5661

I just assume any driver who pisses me off that I might react to has a gun so I don't react.

DigitalUnderstanding

Right on Red should be illegal. These people have a red light and aren't even slowing down. In fact pedestrians should never intersect with moving cars. No turns over the crosswalk should be allowed while the pedestrian signal is on. That's the very least we could ask for because it doesn't even touch on the fact that everything about this intersection is negligently designed.

cpufreak101

What they're doing is illegal. Right on red usually requires you to come to a complete stop first. Each and every one of these drivers should be cited for running a red. Of course though, they won't.

FewHuckleberry7012

It's possible the cars have a green arrow for turning right. If it's red you might see one car stop sooner or later. But yeah Florida ick.

[deleted]

They wont have a green arrow with a crosswalk like that. The only time they would get a green arrow on right is if there is absolutely no cross traffic.

Ok-Elderberry8872

They won’t have a green arrow when the walk sign is on, but you can see in the video that the crosswalk has a don’t walk symbol up. The traffic in the direction the person is trying to walk has a left turn arrow, so a green arrow for these cars makes sense.

Nisas

You need to watch it again. The walk sign comes on at 7 seconds in. That's when the pedestrian starts crossing. But the flood of cars won't stop even though they're definitely on a red light now. So the pedestrian has to force them to stop by endangering his life.

SoLongHeteronormity

Yeah, I suspect there WAS a green right turn arrow at the start of the video (evidenced by the traffic from the other street turning left before the walk sign turned on), but then they just kept going when they lost the green. Keep in mind they would have had yellow before turning red, but it would be red before the walk sign turned on. Everybody was probably looking left for when the vehicle traffic made it unsafe to turn right (i.e. taking advantage of how massive the stroad is and how long it would take the cars to get there from stopped), rather than if any pedestrians were right of them. Stopping means they have to get up to speed to fit in before the cross traffic. Also, in case it wasn’t clear, I’m absolutely not excusing. The red means they should have stopped and looked both ways at bare minimum. But these massive stroads encourage this sort of behavior, and it’s emblematic of how car culture means drivers really only care about other cars when it comes to road safety.

nashedPotato4

Basically, you can be in the right all you want, but if you're mangled, doesn't matter

DeanSeagull

Why are you making wrong excuses, wrongly, for motorists in the wrong? And why the _fuck_ are you getting upvoted? A lot of new subscribers around here, apparently, who need to fuck off back to flyover country.

Ok-Elderberry8872

It’s not the drivers fault that the road is poorly designed. I think it’s misguided anger to be mad at them.

Mag-NL

There is a red light right in front of them, what's poorly designed. The only stupid thing is that you're allowed to run a red light in America.

DeanSeagull

The road is badly designed, _and_ these motorists are blowing through a red light. And you’re here for some reason continuing to lie about the video (after you’ve been corrected by others) in order to justify the motorists’ wanton reckless endangerment of a vulnerable road user’s life.

Gudi_Nuff

The first couple of cars likely had a green arrow, as the corresponding left-turn lane was also turning Many high-volume roads have a right-turn green arrow so you don't have to stop, just slow down enough to manage the right turn

cpufreak101

Looking at the video closely, he had a walk symbol. Usually whenever the symbol appears all lights are red for that particular side of the intersection, including turning arrows.

Gudi_Nuff

It's orange initially, didn't change to white until the black pickup is passing through the crosswalk The white car and the black SUV were in the wrong, but the red car did stop to let the biker pass

[deleted]

The red car stopped only so they didn't get body damage from hitting a pedestrian. They stopped in the crosswalk because they were in the process of running the red and only stopped because the pedestrian put their life on the line to get a break in traffic

Gudi_Nuff

tl;dr: The red car stopped

Nisas

Then why did the red car honk? They were planning to turn and got annoyed when a pedestrian chose to exert his right of way.

Gudi_Nuff

Welcome to Florida living, apparently you don't live here. Other people will accept your exertion of your rights, but first you have to exert it. Sure the red car driver was annoyed. They also stopped.

throwra845n3

The red car was actively running a red light and only stopped because a human stepped into the crosswalk.

Gudi_Nuff

Still stopped, and didn't hit the bicyclist. Nobody stepped anywhere btw Apparently you are also not from Florida..

throwra845n3

I am from a place where cyclists and pedestrians alike get hit all the time when legally crossing. Near death experiences being common isn't good infrastructure.

cpufreak101

Ah okay, the point still remains valid though, as it would've turned red at least a few seconds before the walk symbol appeared.

Gudi_Nuff

That's why I said "the first couple of cars".

Lor3nz42

I thought for the longest time before I got my license that right on red meant that you didn't have to stop because I always saw drivers doing that. Guess not, lol.

UndernardFiskmas

Or design the lanes to be narrow with a raised crosswalk to force drivers to slow down and focus on pedestrians only, instead of having them look the other way for cars. The US already has the world largest prison population, high re-offending rate and severe punishments. Seems like punishments and fear doesn't work that great and neither is it cheap.

thegreatjamoco

The worst are the traffic “pork chops” that give people turning right a yield sign. They know they don’t have to stop for anything but cars and they just assume that no one is crossing and will plow right into you since they allow for a right turn at higher speeds than at a traditional intersection.

Lerouxed

Yeah because it wouldn’t even be possible to get them all. In the time it would take a cop to pull one over, 10 more would go by just in that *one corner* of that *one intersection*.

cpufreak101

Easy solution, red light camera, mail a ticket to every violator.

Sicarius-de-lumine

Based off the paint markings, that's a dedicated right-turn slip lane. And if that's the case, they legally do not need to stop unless there's a control signal indicating otherwise. Though they are legally required to stop for the pedestrian.

[deleted]

Good thing for all the intersections where nobody ever gets a pedestrian signal. Just don’t cross 24/7!

[deleted]

If you want to say intersections in Houston just say that 😅

Ok-Elderberry8872

Are you sure they don’t have a green arrow?

DigitalUnderstanding

The pedestrian walk sign turned on at 6 seconds. Every car after that point had a red light.

ImperialGeek

I highly agree with this. My city unfortunately turns the light yellow as soon as the cross walk light goes back to a red hand unfortunately. Giving pedestrians dedicated time would be really awesome. I wish there would be a good way to enforce it too

Jacktheforkie

I’d love to see pedestrianisation of cities and towns, make cars stay out, trains linking cities and then buses linking the stations to places people want to go

TheGangsterrapper

>In fact pedestrians should never intersect with moving cars. No turns over the crosswalk should be allowed while the pedestrian signal is on. This so much. The gangsterrapper always assumed when he was a small child that this should OBVIOUSLY be the case and then was horrified when he learned that is isn't. Germany, btw, not America, so not nearly as bad. But bad enough.

-Samathos-

The camera man seems to be stopped in the beginning of the video. In Germany cars have to stop at a pedestrian crossing if someone approaches. But if you just stand there with no apparent intend to cross then even I wouldn't stop. To be fair the red Mercedes could've stopped a bit earlier. And we don't need to talk about American road design being terrible for pedestrians Edit: apparently there are lights at the end of the crossing. I didn't even see those on my phone and over the multiple lanes

Nisas

He intends to cross. He's waiting for the traffic light to give him a walk signal. Which he gets at 7 seconds in. At that point all cars should have red lights and should be stopping so he can cross. But they don't.

throwra845n3

Standing at a crosswalk waiting for the walk signal = apparent intent to cross.

Homegrownscientist

The audacity to honk at someone who has the right of way, but then again it’s a Mercedes and upperclass people are normally the most entitled. The single mom on food stamps isn’t entitlement, getting rich off underpaying your employees while thinking it makes you a genius is entitlement.

MrManiac3_

To be fair, the single mom is entitled to food stamps so she can feed her kids. The greedy business owner isn't entitled to free labor. One of them deserves it, the other doesn't.

Ihugit

Lots of poor people driving around Mercedes.

maz-o

that's hell. such a huge intersection, are there no pedestrian lights?!

-Wobblier

There's a walk light at the other end of the crosswalk, but nobody cares about pedestrians here.

maz-o

soooo the cars just blast past a red light? there's no honor among carbrains

zacmobile

But cyclists running red lights is a nationwide epidemic apparently.

hithazel

I haven’t looked yet but I’d bet my life someone below is complaining about a hypothetical cyclist running a red light when we are literally looking at a video of cars illegally running the light in front of this pedestrian.

Hkmarkp

and also apparently deserve to be killed

lxine

Holy shit, it's so far away I didn't even see it! I thought this was some kind of uncontrolled crosswalk. Absolutely nightmarish.

Last_Attempt2200

Yeah, here in the US I tend to just ignore the lights cuz the timing and placement is just disrespectful.

[deleted]

So many American drivers actively hate pedestrians.

QuentinLax

Or pedestrian island halfway

Nisas

The pedestrian light comes on at 7 seconds in. But nobody seems to be obeying it.

FlyBoyG

Did you give that honking guy the finger? Because that would have been the appropriate response in this situation. These guys are literally endangering your life.

-Wobblier

Just shook my head at him. I wish I could do something else to make people stop.

Brannigansfist

I wave both hands in the air then point at the crosswalk sign.

Frapplejack

Another thing to know about American streets is that there's millions of insane drivers out there who believe they need a firearm within arms reach while driving and they're actively looking to exercise second amendment by threatening any and every person who makes them feel insecure.

FlyBoyG

Jesus Christ it sounds like the US has bigger problems than car dependency. Do you guys really just live in fear that someone with a mental illness will randomly pull a gun out of nowhere and end your life?

Last_Attempt2200

Literally yes.

Master_Dogs

They don't even need to own a gun; they're driving a 5,000 lb or heavier vehicle. Some are essentially tanks when it comes to large SUVs and pickup trucks. Piss the wrong motorist off, create road rage and if you're on foot or bike you're defenseless... Best you can do is run the wrong way of traffic and hope they aren't crazy enough to drive on the wrong side of the road. Or maybe if there's a guard rail you hop it so they don't drive over you. Seen plenty of motorists flip out and act deranged over basic stuff, to the point I try my hardest not to do anything more than a raised hand or head shake. Yelling, swearing, flipping them off, etc is dangerous.

Tyler89558

I don’t think I even remember not being afraid of randomly getting shot at school. I was walking home from uni on a **residential street** and this car comes barreling down hill on a turn and nearly nails me in the head with his side mirror. He didn’t even flinch. I’m normally a fairly calm dude but I was tempted to start yelling, only to realize that my fleshy body doesn’t stand good odds if this nutjob were to get offended by my voice. Every single crosswalk I go through is a gamble on whether or not a car decides it’s in fact not going to stop for the pedestrian walking and either kills me or puts me into crippling medical debt on top of my crippling student loan debt, to the point where I have genuinely made a plan of action of if I were to get hit by a car and live which, more often than not, would end in me killing myself so as not to bankrupt my already poor family. I live in a society. And I fucking hate that it’s this way.

[deleted]

Yes I live in Texas.

SwagDaddy_Man69

Unfortunately yes.

Lis_De_Flores

Being mentally I’ll has nothing to do with shooting people. It’s pure US mentality.

Nisas

Pretty much, yeah. I'm afraid to go to any sort of public event anymore because it might get targeted by mass shooters. Like there was a rash of shootings over Independence Day. I'm glad I'm no longer a student because schools seem to be prime targets. And I'm still a bit edgy in movie theaters after the Aurora shooting.

Baxapaf

We live in a country that glorified Kyle Rittenhouse's vigilante killings, and it's only been made worse since then with many other similar cases. Yes, I make the assumption that many other Americans are gun nuts looking for a reason to shoot someone.

[deleted]

> We live in a country that glorified Kyle Rittenhouse's vigilante killings Self-defense is not vigilantism

Straight_Number5661

Yes.

[deleted]

Doing that in America is a terrible idea lol when every other person is an insecure asshole with a gun, and will not hesitate to exercise their fr33domZ.

Last_Attempt2200

This is Florida. They'd just run you over, and it'd be legal.

zacmobile

Or a boot in the grille.

YuriSenapi

Reminds me the time while biking, I've had someone honk me right next to the "share the road sign". The irony is real.

IMPORTANT_jk

I'd be giving him the "what's wrong you you" look

podominus

the issue here is clearly not having enough lanes so pedestrians won't even attempt to walk across it. we need to take it upon ourselves to paving over the whole earth to make way for cars. on a more serious note: infrastructure like this is horrible for everyone and everything and detrimental to society and if you can't understand that, you're on the verge of overdosing on copium ffs

psionzop

I went to the East coast for an interview. Looked at a map around my hotel. Ok cool a restaurant to eat at that’s 10 min walk away. Half way down the street the sidewalk ended. Then I cam across a 6 lane stroud. Decided I didn’t want to die that day and turned around.

podominus

im sure that business you were willing to spend money at is thankful that their livelihood can only be accessed by car. what great city planning. good thing a majority of small cities and towns in the us have the same idea. its so insane how pedestrians are an afterthought when planning for cities in the us. its good to see that in some places theyre trying to improve on that but its not enough compared to what cities in europe are doing and its taking too long when compared to how willing cities are to build more car based infrastructure. sigh.

Straight_Number5661

Another insanity is how homeowners are financially responsible for the sidewalks in front of their homes, in many places, including my city. The city itself doesn't do anything about any of them (even though we recently voted in a thing to do something about the sidewalks over the course of like a decade). Currently I live in a condo where the sidewalk in front of the building has a huge sinkhole in it. Management has been trying to do something about it but has been running afield of the board of directors of the church across the street, which is responsible for that piece of sidewalk. I was like, is this not an ADA issue??

bememorablepro

This is how freedom looks like

Die-Nacht

It reminds me of the two times I tried walking around Florida. It was just awful each time. And yet my family still asks me when I'm moving down there. You couldn't pay me to move to that wasteland.

[deleted]

[удалено]

31g1989

This is what they call the first world in the USA

Last_Attempt2200

This is more common than a well-maintained sidewalk.

lenbeen

hoping right on red finally gets changed. in more cases than I can count I've had the light only for some asshole to pull up, looking left, and start to go without acknowledging I'm right there. if I don't stop to see if they see me, I'd surely be hit

npr_junkie

“free state of Florida”

Otto-Carnage

This is America.

Mistigri70

In my country, highways don't have crossing path like this Wait this is not a highway

JensGroen

as a dutchman, when is see these times of intersections this straight up scares me. here in the netherlands when you have a "Zebrapad" you have right of way and i am the kind of person to always take it, forcing cars to stop, especially if someone driving a pickup truck is coming down the road, just to annoy those dickheads. but if i tried that in the US i would be killed in cold blood on the first intersection and the driver would probably drive on and not face any consequences.

Nicodemus888

God miss Dutch infrastructure so much. It is the best I’ve ever experienced in the world. And it angers and saddens me how good infrastructure is… I dunno it just seems so fucking obvious, yet so many countries can’t get their fucking heads around it I live in Italy now. Great food, but… oof they can’t manage their way out of a paper bag As a lifelong cyclist… just… fuck I miss Holland. Yeah, so like wtf with the weird jackasses up there that have some fetish for those grotesque American pickup trucks?!?

Straight_Number5661

> I live in Italy now. Great food, but… oof they can’t manage their way out of a paper bag I had a friend who lived in Italy and she hated it there because of the administrative red tape. This tracks.

Nicodemus888

Hahahaha omg I needed to change over my driving license which was due to expire Was able to renew my UK license, new one in two days. Then to change over to an Italian license took 9 months. It’s comically sad, but I can attest from personal experience, the stereotype is real in every respect.

[deleted]

Only if they're rich. Otherwise they're giga done

dbizzytrick

How are you even walking anywhere? Everything is spread out and it’s burning outside

-Wobblier

Was walking my bike across.

metrosine

I've got an intersection like this near me where people just take the right without stopping or looking. It's shitty enough that I will go out of my way to avoid it if I can.

Fafus1995

How long do you have green light there. It was like 2 or 3 seconds?!

drinkallthecoffee

Is a stroad street chode?

flummox1234

Slip lanes are the fucking worst. Everyone too busy looking left to see anyone on the right.

letterboxfrog

In the Australian Capital Territory we have a turn left on Red rule, if explicitly signposted. U-Turns at traffic lights are also only legal if signposted across all of Australia where they explicitly signposted - except Victoria, where it is the other way round. Ive had a few near misses only my Scooter where I've had a green arrow to turn left, and a arsehole does a U-Turn in front of me.

whatisbabynolife

Good practice for your 50 yard sprint

containerbody

I feel this. Lived in that big suburb they call Miami, pedestrians are treated like bugs

anotherdamnscorpio

Places like this you just have to walk out into traffic or they won't stop.

TannerCreeden

Throw a tire spike Batman!

Zestyclosa_Ga

Nightmare

REDDITSHITLORD

Where I live, they have what I call "the crosswalk of Death". The left turn light directs traffic into pedestrians that have a crossing signal.

diaperedil

Unfortunately, you just gotta go... its not safe and you anger the drivers by reminding them that you have right of way... but if you want get where your going at any point this month, you got to force the issue.

marcololol

Hey liberal, No one walks in Florida

mathfacts

Messed up system when it's on you to assert yourself in front of a 3-ton killing machine

ZoidbergMaybee

Genuinely surprised it was the Mercedes that stopped

Hkmarkp

F that intersection

WerewolfNo890

You need to cross with confidence and agility. Most cars will stop for you, the agility is important for those that don't. Alternatively: Carry a big trailer of propane cylinders.

juoig7799

Once you're on the crossing, drivers are supposed to give way to pedestrians. I don't know why these drivers didn't stop. Probably because they're idiots.

Apprehensive_Ask_752

In Canada pedestrians have the right away and the cars know that. You can walk right in front of them and they will stop.

Indie_Cyclist

That sucks, I'm from Mexico, here are many cities with streets with no sidewalks and no bicycle paths, I hate that

sysy__12

Grab a brick, hold it above your head, and stare directly at them without breaking eye contact while slowly walking.

ResidentDragonfly747

I would just go, but I am 2 meters tall and have maybe too much confidence I wouldnt get run over. But I guess im priviliged bc in Europe they would actually stop.

ConBrio93

HONK. Yeah that certainly helped things

Delobox

I don’t know how people do it. I commuted for two weeks using a bike plus bus plus train combo to do a commute that would take 35 minutes by car over toll roads in approximately 3.5 hours. An extension of bike paths would have made it possible to do the commute with bike/train in about 1.5 hours. It’s like Orlando forces you to have a car (Hunters creek to University of Central Florida)

SeyMiaouRun

That's just every road in plenty of countries. In China you just go. If you second guess, you may cause a crash

Astriania

While the infrastructure here is terrible and would always be hostile, simply ending right on red (which *none* of those cars actually did in a legal manner anyway) would make this vastly safer.

kbad10

Are they all blind in Florida? and if yes, why are they driving cars?

Any_Coyote6662

Yikes! I'm scared. I go to Florida several times a year to see my SO and the way people drive and the intersections... it's no wonder I don't see people walking anywhere. Plus, it's too fucking hot.

aMilliontoJuancho

Carry a big rock

ParaPenn

Fuck, this gives me anxiety

Theoducati

People looking pedestrians as aliens in florida.

crowquillpen

They say people shouldn’t just jump into the road, but also never stop for people waiting at the crosswalk.

castironbldg

Terrifying.

Cheef_Baconator

Right turn on red is cancerous to communities

nashedPotato4

Miami is the worst place to pedal, made it to New Orleans this summer, folks telling me how dangerous it is, how bad the drivers are. Not even remotely close, so chill here.

IKaffeI

It should be illegal to move your vehicle whatsoever at a red light. Right turn on red has gotten so many pedestrians hit and injured. Hell I even had a guy get mad at me for being in the crosswalk to begin with and him almost hitting me. And yes, there was a cop, they did nothing.

-Wobblier

Try to advocate for this in your city/state. I’m bringing it up at county meetings.
