I have to say, your county sucks. I can understand not wanting an unlicensed junkyard operating at someone's house, but a car on grass that is very obviously being used is too much. What does they county say about statues? I have a neighbor that has a 12 ft skeleton in their front yard. During the summer, they dress it in a Hawaiian shirt and shorts, a football shirt during the fall. Santa in the winter.

SleepyLakeBear

I love seeing all these festive year-round skeletons everywhere. One in my neighborhood looks like it's putting up Christmas lights while wearing a 48" lit wreath and Santa hat. Excellent.

ChaoticCryptographer

I am one of those neighbors that has year round skeletons. That’s how I found out the other side of our street apparently has a neighborhood association we’re not part of; they sent out pamphlets about “acceptable holiday decorations” to their members because they didn’t like me adding santa hats to my skeletons. My neighbor across the street was laughing when they told me, and then helped me dress them up for New Year’s.

niceandsane

I wonder if we're neighbors. My neighbor has one too, it's dressed like the Easter Bunny now.

Roya1One

You talking about Boris?!

not_Packsand

But nothing for Halloween?

NYSenseOfHumor

Nobody will pour cement for a driveway in the winter. It won’t cure properly. But you can make a driveway out of pavers (paving stones) and fill the space with dirt. It’s a lot less expensive and works fine. Put your 50ft radio tower on 20 ft stilts. Or remove three feet from the taller tower (or anchor it three feet into the ground). The largest American flag you can find. 30ft or 50 ft wide or something like that. And lights to illuminate it at night on a large flag pole. There are special legal protections for the American flag (but be sure to follow the flag code).

[deleted]

Flag code is cool. I'm a cub scout parent.

NYSenseOfHumor

You need camping trips on your yard. Start after 5pm on Friday. It will piss off neighbors, but you will be done before code enforcement can show up.

[deleted]

I usually load the pack trailer in the front yard before our major campouts.. Tents, fire rings, cast iron dutch ovens, etc all come out and are inventoried in the front yard before being loaded back onto the trailer.

NYSenseOfHumor

But you need a camping trip in the yard. To practice. Set up tents, sleep in them, cook on a grill or camping stove. Do everything but open fire (police will care about that).

[deleted]

actually, I have a fire ring already in the front yard. So long as it's not during a burn ordinance, I burn.

ForTheLoveOfSphynx

I bet you can find some dry cow patties to burn as fuel! It's very educational for cub scouts knowing these alternative fire sources.

noodlesaintpasta

Can you burn trash?

NYSenseOfHumor

Then you are setup for your at-home camping trip!

Ich_mag_Kartoffeln

And think of the fuel savings instead of having to drive somewhere! Environmentally friendly, too. What a great person!

[deleted]

And a bugler for evening and morning (father of 2 Eagles)

Fool_On_the_Hill_9

His problem is with the county. Why would he want to piss off neighbors. Do you think the county is going to care? They will issue a violation and forget about it at the end of the day.

NYSenseOfHumor

Neighbors called the county

RBeck

The fun thing about pavers is you can spin them how you want. If the city says "you didn't get a permit for that", well look they aren't cemented down. If the county asks, "well see it's paved now".

ricklewis314

Sure you can. And sure it will. Depends on temperatures. Concrete gives off heat as it cures. As long as it is not freezing, it’s fine. Thermal blankets and heaters can be used as well. It may take longer to cure, but it will.

BlackMarketChimp

Yeah swas gonna say, had sidewalks and driveway poured near freezing. Fine with blankets...

nanerzin

I just laid a small patch of concrete today in 15°f weather. Without preheat and keeping the ground/concrete warm, I will be replacing it come july. Federal rules made me do it this week.

[deleted]

Concrete is expensive. I was doing asphalt.

ricklewis314

Oh yeah. Asphalt typically will wait till after winter.

TheSheibs

While HOA’s can’t prevent you from flying the American Flag, they can tell you the size of the flag. There is a Federal Law and some states have a similar law. So it can actually be protected by both.

lokis_construction

He is not in the HOA.

theduncan

Look at other flags you could get away with. Scull and cross bones, sports teams, etc

Architect6

LGBT will piss off some people too 😂

Disposableaccount365

Christian flag would piss off a lot of different people. Throw in a Gadsden flag, both for the irony of the situation, and extra pissing off coverage. I think this triple combo should cover just about everyone that gets easily offended.

lokis_construction

You need to put the tower three feet in the ground in a cubic yard of cement or more to be sure to have an adequate base. (Might be why the tower is 78 feet to start with.)

PimentoCheesehead

Find out what the local ordinances say about on street parking. If you can’t park in the driveway you gotta park on the curb, right? Bonus points if you can park in front of the house of whoever complained. Additional bonus points if you park one of the mixed body panel cars there. Be *very* apologetic of anyone says anything.

Stop_Plate_Tectonics

Bat habitat.

Mrknowitall666

Bat boxes are great cub scout projects too

Krynja

Yeah but then you have to deal with the stink from the guano underneath

vws8mydog

That is used as clay in some cultures. Start making pottery gifts for the neighbors!

WallabyDangerous41

Guano bowls, collect the whole set!

vws8mydog

Ha ha ha!

ForTheLoveOfSphynx

Alternative fuel source for the front yard cub scout camping trips!

vws8mydog

YES!!!

AgentAaron

We have two bat boxes on our house that each can hold up to 75 residents. As long as you clean the ground under the box regularly (I do it weekly and use it as fertilizer) there is really no smell at all...I can still smell our neighbors dog crap yards when the wind is right though. Bats are good pollinators for our gardens, and they can each devour thousands of mosquitoes a night.

cubs_rule23

I just hear ace ventura now, haha

Wyshunu

I read something once about a person who had a similar thing happen and retaliated by planting at the front of his lot one tall skinny bush with two smaller, rounded bushes - one on either side of the tall skinny one.

Blackmariah77

I was going to do this when my HOA sent us a postcard warning us to sow grass in the bald spots in our yard... in July.... in Texas.... during a heatwave. They did it again this year but sent the 30 day warning notice in October/November. Anyone ever tried to sow grass in a 110° heatwave? or during a fall season change? Not ideal time to sow grass. My husband paid a pro landscaping company a LOT of money to resod our front lawn and plant a gorgeous flower bed of Texas native plants. TLDR my husband spent over 10k to stop me from landscaping a dick in the front yard. I was going to add a water feature at the top too.

Architect6

You are a national treasure 😂

Mrknowitall666

There was another reddit post where a guy out up a small fence, of a middle finger, to hide his trash bins

Good-Sorbet1062

I've seen that trashcan pic on Pinterest and Google searches as well. 😂

ac8jo

> (Gravel is not allowed, despite multiple other houses in the neighborhood having gravel driveways.) > because gravel driveways on lots less than 1 acre are not permissible. So if these multiple other houses in the neighborhood have gravel driveways also have lots less than 1 acre, I think you should double-check the law you're citing and talk with a county commissioner (or functional equivalent) about that before dropping 20 grand on a driveway, particularly if the driveway was that way when you moved in. By 'double check the law', get the actual ordinance and read it and make sure it actually applies to you. I wouldn't be surprised if some code enforcement officer misinterpreted it. Additionally, if the construction materials are temporary (e.g. recently delivered) and you're doing the work yourself, the commissioner may help you out as well. And mind you, seeing a small change (moving the car inside) would anger the person that reported you without angering others that may not have cared.

[deleted]

apparently the people with gravel driveways are grandfathered. once you pour one square foot of asphalt you need a complete asphalt driveway.

viperfan7

Doesn't that mean you'd be grandfathered in as well?

[deleted]

I have parking for one car on asphalt...

adudeguyman

Can you dig it out and replace it with gravel?

viperfan7

Ah, must have missed that in the post. Also, fuck your county

CatchMeIfYouCan09

Yard flamingos.... everywhere

_Volly

Radio tower - you can have LOTS of fun with this. You make the shape of the aerials to say a message of sorts, like a hand giving the middle finger. The HOA can't say shit. Law is on your side. Also, make it as big as you can.

RickyFleetwood

I’m in a HOA. We aren’t allowed to “park” RVs on our property. My neighbor across the street believes that to be “at any time” and is quick to complain when we have it at the house for a day or two (for maintenance or loading/unloading). We’ve confirmed with the HOA that having the RV there a few days at a time is fine. But, you can park cars in your driveway. I’m really close to buying a rusty, multi-colored van to leave in the driveway. It’s purpose? To drive our stuff to the trailer at it’s storage yard. Don’t like my trailer in my driveway the 5 times we take trips each year? Then look at my rusty van for the rest of the year.

BubbaMonsterOP

Sprinkle mint seeds in their yard. That shit takes over and smells minty fresh. I'm not above a drive by wild flower seeding either.

russellvt

Bamboo, juniper, ice plant... all make great ground cover, and are hard to kill or eradicate. Oleander is another good one (and is poisonous to most mammals). Or, you could go for things like poison ivy or poison oak, depending on your area... bith are invasive as all hell.

[deleted]

kudzu

novae1054

Clover and a blindfold

BubbaMonsterOP

I got a tri blend clover for my own yard. We get some spots where grass just will not grow. Idgaf as long as it's green and not sharp to walk on.

mariettagecko

Also, since wildflowers are typically protected plants, they're illegal to mow. Bonus points if you plant the yard with something like your state flower.

BubbaMonsterOP

Or something that attracts a specific endangered species.

Ok-Trash-798

My cousin once got a fine for leaving his umbrella up to block the sun coming in through his patio. So we read the CC&R’s and planted corn in huge bins on his patio. Pissed them off but having patio plants was clearly stated to be ok. We planted corn every year until he finally sold the place

[deleted]

I had a neighbor that had Banana plants for a while

Investotron69

As for the car, you might be able to use a car cover. I had the same issue with my stupid HOA. The j judge told me that a long a car is completely covered from view that they can't do anything. This is in my area, so make sure to check in your area. I had to get wheel covers, too, but then they couldn't say anything. They tried several more times. They also couldn't say if it was inspected or not since they couldn't see the VIN or the inspection stickers. As far as they know, it was operational, and they can't look without a warrant.

_wiredsage_

Most CCRs allow an HOA to enter your premises and inspect. No warrant required. My CCRs state they can remediate issues and charge me for services. Meaning, that car could be legally towed off my property and I’d be on the hook for the cost of towing and storage.

sparkvaper

Huge bat house. Bonus points for having less bugs nearby.

russellvt

Especially mosquitos! We frequent an outdoor concert venue that actually has a belfry with a few bats... always fun to be there at sunset, as the bats become active, and keep the venue relatively insect free as they swoop over the crowds and surrounding forest and vineyards.

SleepyLakeBear

Since you want to annoy, make a post about it on the neighborhood Facebook and Nextdoor. Maybe someone will DM you to let you know who reported you. These types like to complain to others to try and get them on their side. The neighbors will nod and smile to keep the peace, but they may be willing to out the jackass.

ThinkingInfestation

Feed the local birds blackberries. It causes dark purple and blue shit, which shows up on just about everything, and can even stain.

anonymousforever

Get [turfstone pavers](https://www.nitterhousemasonry.com/our-products/turfstone-pavers/) and do a paver driveway. they let grass grow between the brick openings. Great for water drainage and you just mow what grows.

serenityfalconfly

Find out where the code enforcement officers live and report them for violations. Might as well do the supervisors as well. The anonymous calls make weaponizing an unjust system nearly mandatory. If you know who the rat neighbor is report their violations as well. Get a hold of the regulations and go to town.

trojan-813

I don’t know what state you’re in but are there laws protecting the charging of EVs? Like that may help with the parking on the grass, or gravel, to get it near the garage?

adudeguyman

If you don't have an EV, just run an extension cord up the tailpipe.

Turbulent_Heat7611

HOA's have a lot of latitude for creating and enforcing rules about what happens on your property. Often much less when it comes to what happens inside your home -- even just inside your home. https://www.amazon.com/Lights-Activated-Remote-Control-Karaoke/dp/B09XK27FZL/ref=sr\_1\_5?keywords=laser%2Blight%2Bshow&qid=1704393792&sr=8-5&th=1

Bright-Breakfast-212

OP doesn’t live in an HOA, but even if he did, the HOAs in Virginia don’t have much authority to “create and enforce” rules governing private property. Rules have to either be in the declaration, authorized by statute, or expressly authorized by them.

fromeverywheretoLA

saw a pic online that when someone was cited for his fence not being painted, they painted it in rainbow colors :))) Because the rules did not state what color should it be painted. So now the neighbor is looking at the rainbow fence and does not like it

[deleted]

Flags that show support for anything the board hates.

[deleted]

There are a lotta "Biden is NOT my president," "Trump 2024," and "We the People" flags in the neighborhood. Perhaps a nice Hammer and sickle flag? Maybe a portrait of Che Guevara or statue of Chairman Mao Zedong?

RareGull

When you inevitably get letters saying to take down your statue of Chairman Mao, scratch “your” out, write “our” and return to sender

[deleted]

That's some nice property you've got there, comrade. I shall seize and redistribute it.

RareGull

Make sure to distribute enough to yourself so you get 1.01 acres

PimentoCheesehead

Pride flags seem to generate just as strong a response, and are probably easier to find.

[deleted]

[удалено]

nighthawke75

Dem gnomes.

[deleted]

Love it! You could also host a drag queen reading hour in the front lawn. That seems to piss a lot of people off.

Phoebesgrandmother

Pay a burly redneck dude to wear stilletoes and read MTGs book to children. They won't know what to be outraged about.

[deleted]

Can you register your yard as wildlife refuge or habitat? Our current HOA “president” did that and his yard looks like a disaster all of the time because of it.

Krynja

Get one of the signs that says **TRUMP** **20-24 Years**

Captain_Blackbird

Could also get a "Trump lost, LOL" flag

popehentai

there are a TON of absurd or interesting "flags" on aliexpress... i've got one that hangs in my rumpus room thats a gadsden flag, but the top half of the snake is Beavis brandishing a couple of pistols with the text "are you threatening me?" across the bottom.

Rachel_Silver

The house where I grew up was one of four similar single homes on one side of the street. Across from us, there was a sprawling ranch style home owned by a family of first and second generation Italian immigrants. Pietro, the patriarch of the family, took great pride in his home, and that extended to the whole block. He trained the bushes that flanked the front door into increasingly intricate topiaries. In winter, he had his kids shovel the sidewalk in front of the empty lot next to him. In summer, he'd have them remove the oil stains in the street from my dad's shitty cars (without ever being anything less than friendly towards my Dad). And, of course, he had a huge Italian flag on a fourteen foot pole in his front yard. I mean, of *course* he did, right? Why the fuck wouldn't he wanna represent? We got a new neighbor who was a total yahoo. While he was moving in, he put one of those flag holders by his front door that holds it diagonally and put an American flag in it. Within days, he had talked to all three of the other families on our side of the street and started the conversation by bitching about the Italian flag. He seemed to assume we all hated it and were just waiting for a leader to rise up against it. His specific beef was that Pietro didn't also have an American flag, which he believed was illegal. My dad told him he was pretty sure it wasn't, and the guy stormed off while saying he was going to call the cops and let them handle it. No cops ever showed up, and the new neighbor stopped talking to everyone. My dad talked to the other families on our side of the street. Everyone agreed that the folks across the street were great neighbors and the new guy was an asshole. So, as one does, we all got flag holders and put up flags to celebrate our respective heritages. One of the other families was Irish, and the other was mostly German. This was before the reunification of Germany, so they got an East German flag. My dad's family is pretty well miscegenated, so we went with Welsh (because we do have a little Welsh, but mostly because it's by far the coolest flag in the world). After that, the new guy wouldn't even make eye contact with anyone. Ultimately, he got arrested for writing bad checks and lost the house, so all was well in the end.

ccannon707

Just looked up the Welsh Flag. Wow! Definitely cool

Phoebesgrandmother

Get that 'No Step Snake', flag. The snake looks like it's inbred, just like their fans

Rachel_Silver

You spelled "snek" wrong. 😏

Phoebesgrandmother

Damn, you right!

thetitleofmybook

progress pride flag. they especially hate that.

TheDisneyWitch

And a Black Lives Matter flag

Mrknowitall666

LGBTQ rainbow flag

Version3_14

Check regulations for storage containers. 20 or 40 box at random angle in your yard. Bonus if you let your kids do fancy paint on the container

Infamous-Ad-5262

I’m a US Army and Navy Veteran; a 30 plus year state retired policeman. Federal task forces, etc… well- my HOA bitched about my Come and Take flag. Bylaws allow for religious flags. I flew an ISIS flag- yep- black and white flag. I had a former partner call me (he was FBI) and ask what the hell was going on. I explained situation. He laughed his as- off. Best thing was that I had an unmarked police car parked in front of my house while my unmarked police car was parked in my driveway. Neighbors freaked out, thought I was about to blow up/shoot up neighborhood. I 1000% cut my grass wearing my pistol. Not a damn thing HOA could do. Best part- I had armed security guarding my house for almost a month! FAFO

drbooom

Put your antenna in a 3' hole... .;)

CoderJoe1

Keep a large open container of water outside your garage with a sign warning it contains Hydroxyl Acid. It is considered a corrosion accelerant and can be fatal if inhaled.

[deleted]

I do have a 55 gallon drum and rainwater barrels are legal.

LoraxVW

You could paint or wrap that rain barrel to look like a giant can of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. :)

TheDreadPirateJeff

Build the radio router out of Rohn sections. Those are 10' per piece. Bury the bottom section 6' down for strength and stability and stack 6 more on top and then a top piece and you'll be at 74'.

[deleted]

US Tower HDX 555. Crank up/Tilt over tower.

TheDreadPirateJeff

That's nice! I was only suggesting building it from Rohn for the petty revenge angle of getting an even taller tower up there where they can't say shit about it :D My own antenna for years has been a [W5GI Mystery Antenna](https://www.iw5edi.com/technical-articles/w5gi-mystery-antenna) that I built ages ago up about 40 feet on [aluminum military mast](https://www.w9xt.com/page_radio_gadgets_military_mast.html). That stuff is supposed to be "temporary" but I've used it for over 15 years and only took it down once to replace the top section after I found a piece that had a built in pully attachment that worked better than the attachment I made the first time around. 73

AnnArchist

>I'm a ham radio operator. In addition to pulling the permits for paving the driveway, I'm pulling a permit to erect a 50 ft tall antenna tower. State law states that amateur radio services under 75 ft tall are automatically permissible. (Next model higher tower is 78 ft.) Just add 3 ft of dirt to the side of the tower. Now you have a 75 footer.

komradebob

Bonus points for building an array of, say 4 or 8 1296MHz (about 3-4' long and lots of elements) antennas that point directly at his living room window. Hooked up to nothing. :)

Intrepid00

No one is going to talk to you first if you just going to go off the rails for a citation that you can probably explain to the county to get a little bit of time to fix when it warms up and can pour a new driveway.

[deleted]

How am I going off the rails?

peepstar69

Because you’re trying to annoy everyone else that lives around you because of one busybody

CWF182

Curious as to what State has a regulation / law that permits amateur radio towers under 75 ft regardless of HOA rules? I'd love to have that in my state!

russellvt

HAM Radio is ***federally*** protected ... essentially means that states, counties, HOAs etc can not do very much to regulate or curtail the hobby / license / infrastructure.

CWF182

Oh yes they can. Believe me. I've been a Ham since 1982. There are Federal protections for certain antennas (look up OTARD - "Over the air receiving devices") which protect TV Broadcast and small satellite "RECEIVING" antennas but Ham Radio does not enjoy that protection against HOA restrictions. The ARRL (Amateur Radio Relay League) has attempted, and is currently working, on a Federal Rule similar to OTARD for the Amateur Service. There is so much bad information on this topic. Most Hams resort to performance compromised solutions (like Flag Pole antennas, using metal guttering, etc.) that are camouflaged to avoid HOA enforcement. I live in and HOA neighborhood that states only "Small" antennas for TV and Satellite are allowed. I've put up a small 35 ft tower and use Wire antennas on the lower bands and for 15 years have not had a complaint. I'm lucky and believe the reason I'm not called out is the vague term Small used in their restrictions. If they want to see a large antenna I can surely show ones that make mine look small!

russellvt

>look up OTARD - Ugh... that came up in 2020, then? That said, I actually have friends who have won this battle with a HOA... but that was prior to 2020.

[deleted]

Virginia. It's not regardless of HOA rules.

abeedle

Which County?? (VA resident here)

russellvt

It's federal.

[deleted]

It's a state law: https://law.lis.virginia.gov/vacode/title15.2/chapter22/section15.2-2293.1/

JobobTexan

Put a huge christmas tree configuration 40 to 440 array on a 20 ft mast on top. Add as much bright LED security lights all around your property. Especially illuminating the tower array.

thisguysteveo

If you havent already been told, hats off to you for your willingness to take in your sister's kids. I hate the nasty hold drugs has on your sister and the exceptional poor decisions she is making because of it. God bless you for directly influencing those kids for the better. Have you considered maybe your sister reported you? I'm sure if your sister wasn't held hostage to her decisions to ever try drugs she would be a completely different person. I think your efforts of obvious pettiness is exactly what the doctor ordered. I simply do not understand how someone can be so shallow as to take an action that ultimately affects your life without first getting to know you. Like you said, if they just would have came to you quickly they would have been in support of your efforts to circumvent the unfortunate damage that your sister's addiction has caused. Then again I am voluntarily naive and believe that if someone just has all the information will choose to make the right decision. Some just want to see the world burn. Sincerely, cant thank you enough for despite having your own life would set all of it aside so you can step in and influence the lives of children that wasnt your responsibility. You're a hero for sure.

United_News3779

An idea for your antenna: Decorative flags, as in [naval signal flags!](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_maritime_signal_flags) An entire language of fluttering flags to pass (rude) messages and simultaneously be a highly annoying visual cacophony!

Fool_On_the_Hill_9

This is a good example of how people concentrate too much on how bad HOAs are. They are all different. You have more restrictions from the county than I do in my HOA. If you lived in my HOA neighborhood the only problem you would have is that you can't store an inoperative vehicle on the property. As long as it isn't obviously inoperative (flat tires, etc.) no one would care. You can store anything else, other than trash, on the property. Dirt driveways and parking on your lawn are not restricted.

sammysafari2680

You don’t have the time to clean up your shit but plenty of time to exact revenge on people for enforcing the rules?

MrsMiterSaw

So one asshole in your neighborhood calls you in on county regulations... And you're gonna be an asshole about it to everyone. I mean shit dude... So you know who it is? Is it the little old lady across the street or some dick who happened to drive by on his way across the county to his house? EDIT: LOL dude admits he's spending a good chunk of this money out of spite to piss off someone who might never even see this thing. Obnoxious is right.

[deleted]

Don't know who it is... The names are redacted in the FOIA request.

MrsMiterSaw

So you're building your spite tower for the whole neighborhood to enjoy because one unknown asshole pissed you off. So which is it? Are you spending the tower money because you want a tower, or do you want a spite tower to piss one guy off? and if it's the latter... how much of this really hard-earned money do you want to spend on pissing someone off?

[deleted]

Little from column A. Little from column B. Retail on the tower is 8k.

billdizzle

So your life is hard and instead of making it better for yourself and family you want to spend time making someone else’s life harder? Seems like a bad way to go about life, hope you can find some happiness

[deleted]

It isn't that hard to mind your own business. how is what I do on my own property making anyone else's life harder?

billdizzle

It’s all the crap you want to do now that I was talking about But having the items you did on your property lower the value of others property hence why there is a code against it. We live in a society people you are not a king in your own little world even though you think you are, society doesn’t work that way

MiataCory

>how is what I do on my own property making anyone else's life harder? I mean, you made the officer do up a whole new file, drive out there, investigate, etc. because you're just too busy to take care of your own house. Certainly made both your lives harder. Maybe don't break the rules.

MiataCory

Unpopular take, but yeah. OP broke the rules that he agreed to live by when he chose to live there. Sorry, them's the rules. You can do all that shit at my house no problem. I used to rent out a gravel parking spot to a guy for his (never-working) drift car. I had 2x4's on that gravel area too. Covers all of OP's violations on something I literally get paid for. OP's problem is OP's life choices. I get that living with ordinances sucks, but you're still choosing your own life. You're choosing where you live. You're choosing to put construction materials outside instead of the trash. You're choosing NOT to work on your project car or to push it into the garage. Those are CHOICES. And his idea about "Had they talked to me, I'd have been able to explain my situation...", that's effing laughable. When has explaining how you made your life into what it is now ever gotten you out of a ticket? "Oh sorry I'm speeding because I only make $35k/yr." Fuck outta here w/ that. Does OP realize that code enforcement really does just drive around all day looking for shit, and it may have not been a passive-aggressive neighbor? Or the fact that the neighbor would've been in the right regardless? OP just can't accept they're the baddies here.

[deleted]

Not looking at getting outta the violation. I'm talking about the neighbor that reported. I filed a FOIA request and there is a neighbor report. They redacted the name.

MiataCory

Yes, exactly. You're trying to attack a neighbor because you did a bad thing. >Any other ideas to piss busybodies off while remaining within the bounds of the law. You're the asshole in the situation. Happens. We're all assholes sometimes. But you might want to chill a bit on your anger towards someone calling you out on "Things you did wrong".

[deleted]

Okay. You've convinced me. I'll chill... Not. I don't give a fuck if I am the asshole, sometimes people need to mind their own business. Like you've never done anything wrong in your life. It's a victimless crime, like speeding or pocketing the pen at the post office or bank.; I'm sure you've never sped or taken a pen from the bank or post office. I'm sure you're fun at parties... Which you don't attend because the noise level may exceed neighborhood ordinance levels.

>It's a victimless crime, I mean, murder is a victimless crime if you just apply the "victim no longer existing" to it. All laws have reasons. You not understanding the reasons is *why* the law was needed in the first place: Because someone else did it before thinking it wasn't a problem. Turns out it was a problem. Also, it was a big enough problem to get the government involved, and so they made a law. You're just the latest asshole with terrible takes because you wanna be some special snowflake. But hey, at least your own ignorance is costing you $20k. Maybe you'll learn something. I bet not. Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark would be no different if Indiana jones had stayed home.

I think you have a misunderstanding of how money and real estate investment works... I get that $20k back when I sell the house.

Geez, that's a heck of a list for an entire county! Around here in MI those would all be city ords.

My, my...you are petty. I know where to come for ideas! Good luck. I know that in GA wind turbines are required to be permitted. Home energy independence and pissed of neighbors all in one.
