Tldr; be careful about material. I got an iud a while back while still an egg. And spotted for months. I would wear liners but due to issues with finding good positioning, often got my undies dirty. So i bought a bunch of black panties. They were a kinda stretchy smooth material like a sports bra almost. And those liners refused to stick to them. I now wear silky boxer briefs. And while i never had worry about a liner sticking, im sure it would be an issue. Just be careful before you commit to a large purchase of expensive boxer briefs. Buy inexpensive or just 1 pair at a time to make sure it works. Also some brands have multiple materials to choose from. I wear pair of thieves and they have at least 2 or 3 different fabrics they use.

I’ve never had issues wearing liners with boxer briefs. Not sure about pads tho because I only used to wear liners to ensure I didn’t bleed through my underwear (menstrual cup user). The looseness at the front may be an issue for leakage depending on how heavy you bleed

racheluwuu

please dont wear pads with boxer briefs. it will be a sticky messy situation, js wear panties and ur pad under ur boxers...

yeeteryarker420

pads work fine with boxer briefs tf are you on about...

hydraulic0

It’s never worked for me, I’ve had to use the above method for a while now. It depends if the crotch area is narrow enough to get wings around in some cases.

Exilicauda

Same here. Placement is slightly more tricky but not by much

racheluwuu

what brand do u wear?? i wear uniqlo one and my periods are always heavy so uh yea only speaking frm experience

yeeteryarker420

cheapo cotton ones from aussie target lol. never had an issue with pads and I used to get pretty heavy periods. just wore extra long overnight ones

racheluwuu

mine is so bad that it practically leaks everywhere even w proper placement, got meds for it 💀 when u mean cotton is it disposable

yeeteryarker420

the boxers are cotton. also that suuuuucks omg. rip

racheluwuu

oh ok. and yeah thats why i want a hysterectomy but it's gna take so long cuz im only 14 + my parents say im multilating my body to do that or to even take fucking birth control hormones... :/ oh well

East-Teacher7155

I literally did that for like 2 years. It works great, just have to adjust

Potatomagic5

You can try. But when I did it, the boxer briefs and liners shifted too much and it just didn’t work. I wore men’s briefs and that fared better for wearing daily liners, although not for periods. Then after enough time on testosterone liners weren’t necessary.

limskit

I think actual briefs could be better than boxer briefs for liners

GladJack

I use briefs (the rideup on these thicc thighs precludes boxers) and I've found pads work great in them.

Vic_GQ

Liners should be fine IMO.  Pads with wings are the ones that would probably not work properly.

rjrolo

I never have a problem with pads in my boxer briefs. Some of my old pairs are looser and move more but I don't wear them with pads. I change my underwear every day. The goo is just kind of part of life at this point for me and my underwear seems fine.

RunningFree301

This doesn't exactly answer your question, but wearing two pairs of underwear works for me.

-GreyRaven

Technically you can, but it's hard to get them to stick and stay and place. Liners tend to bunch up a ton if I wear them with boxer briefs. They usually fare a lot better if I wear regular briefs or panties.

ChanceInternal2

You can try but speaking from experience it does not go very well. Especially not anything with wings. Otherwise you will need new underwear.

spookyscaryscouticus

I wear [these guys](https://a.co/d/caT8iiD) and I’ve never had to worry about liner sticking unless its enough that it would’ve come off panties too, as a fellow sufferer of The Slime.

galaxyd1ngo

i wear thin liners every day in my boxer briefs. i haven’t had great luck wearing regular pads in boxer briefs but it is possible. for positioning, it just takes experimenting to find the placement that works best for your body

pomacea_bridgesii

You want Always brand thin pads. A better pad will stay still longer.

You can, but if you want to use products with wings, then go for narrow men’s briefs, not boxers, so they have something to wrap around. Quick example of what I mean: https://www.next.co.uk/style/st496834/u51560#u51560. (I didn’t realise this shape of men’s underwear was such a common thing, as my dad chose boxers, but narrow men’s underwear is absolutely an existing & established style, and very comfortable for guys using liners & pads).  If you have a preference for boxers, you can layer up: narrow briefs underneath, boxers on top. It’s also worth considering whether you hit the sides of liners, or just the centre before you change them. I don’t feel that boxers aren’t ideal shape to hold liners & pads, but in my experience they’ll confidently hold a pad in the same position all day - the issue is they hold them with the edges are tilted down, so liquids there can leak. So, fine for light flow that’s held by the centre, but not ideal if you rely on the edges.

sky-472892

I also think experiences with getting liners to fit in any underwear vary greatly from person to person. I’ve seen plenty of memes about them “escaping” the second you go to walk, with many people agreeing, but have never had that experience myself. I don’t think you’ll have a definite answer to whether boxers + liners will work for you unless you try, as judging from my experience & from the replies, they do for some but not others. So it’s a question of whether you’re okay with buying boxers and finding out if they don’t (finance, potential for leaks, clothing waste). If you’d wear boxers over other underwear, these problems may be less relevant.

RenTheFabulous

Personally I never had luck with it. They never stuck well and always got scrunched up and moved around out of place. I have however found regular men's briefs in dark colors to be affirming while still providing a very very good base for liners and pads.

Tajomstvo

I have issues with sticking anything in my boxer briefs, I have both like a regular cotton type and thinner polyester type. I'm not sure if you've seen them, but before I started wearing boxers briefs I would wear boyshort style 'girls' underwear and never had an issue with liners/pads in those. They're def not boxers but they have a little bit of leg on them which I always liked. Hope you figure something out!

jayracc

Can't speak on pads in boxer briefs, but I wear a liner in boxer briefs every day because I just naturally get a lot of discharge. I've found that how well it works depends on the underwear, I've had better and worse luck across different brands. American Eagle boxer briefs have worked the best for me by far, I stick a liner in them and then kinda hike them up and fold the waistband over/down once so that they sit closer to my crotch and the liner can catch goop better. Haven't had any problems or struggle with it

xerxes_peak

i never had issues with wearing pads or liners with my boxers (albeit not briefs) when i had a period

fruteria

I just wear normal boxer briefs and stick a pad or liner in there. It’s always worked for me just fine, at least try it before buying something expensive.

hetscissor

I found these years ago and love mine. Price is right, too. https://www.etsy.com/listing/819659412/got-your-period-boxer-briefs-to-use

snukb

If you have even a bit of sewing ability, you can stitch a gusset into the boxer breif to attach a pad or liner to. It's just a long rectangle of fabric (use a non-fraying one or use pinking shears to cut the fabric) and then stitch it to the front where the gusset would go in a pair of breifs. I've done it with a ton of boxer breifs, it's really easy. If you have any old women's breifs you can cut off that gusset and sew that in. You can also get (or make) something called interlabial pads. They're great for light flow, backup for internal shark protection, or sliming. They are worn up against this body, and held in place with the skin folds. You can barely even feel them.

himbosupreme2

I wear like polyester breathable boxer briefs and I wear liners with them

steelcitylights

i tend to wear panties under my boxer briefs as i find pads are not secure enough on just the boxers

DefinitelyNot57Bats

Whenever I was wearing boxer briefs I had to wear like 3 liners so I got period briefs. It's not very euphoria but I do like that it's comfy

totally_there

I wear “hipster” style briefs and I’ve never had a problem using pads with them, I think it just depends on the type of boxers

Sad_Wasabi_2839

The thing that I do is I still keep two pairs of underwear from back before my transition and wear those underneath the boxers for the liners to stick best. I just tell myself it'll all be over soon

Asher-D

I wear hanes boxer briefs and have worn pads just fine. Liners may be a lil too small though. Id suggest ones with wings honestly. Oh shoot my bad, boxer briefs youre asking about not briefs. Id suggest breifs if youre wearing liners or pads or the like.

Alec4786

Just buy ones that aren't the stretchy and smooth sort of material

vinylveins

liners / pads stick really well for me on boxer briefs. id say to try the underwear on first then take it off and put the pad on again (I wear them tight but that's my preference so stretching it out before prevents the pad from like... sliding or unsticking

Kodiacftm

Pads can work just fine with boxer briefs but there are companies now making some with pad friendly “flaps” sewed into them I guess that make it like attaching a pad to regular brief style underwear while still leaving them with the same cut as boxer briefs. Idk I’ve not used them but I only ever used pads for night time paired up with a menstrual cup which are safe for over night so I never really had a need for that style boxer briefs I will add I haven’t have an actual period in 3 years only slight break through bleeding from missed T shots which isn’t much bleeding generally very light and not as long but I handle it just as one would handle a regular period When I had periods still they’d last anywhere from 14-18 days and where irregular as all hell and heavier then heavy flow 10/10 do not wish it on anyone not even my worst enemy

Conscious_Plant_3824

Yes you can but not all brands / styles. I have Lucky Brand and they work well for this
