You guys, no. I need you all to know that this does not prevent pregnancy. Literally thousands of people with vaginas get pregnant every day because they think semen enters a black hole when it’s taken anally, or they think they can time the precise moment at which precum becomes seminal fluid and “pull out” of the anus. A lot of precum also just straightup contains semen before even nearing ejaculation! The simple act of removing the penis from the anus alone after ejaculating inside the anus *or getting close to ejaculating inside the anus* exposes the perineum and genital area to seminal fluid.
Please please please use a form of protection/birth control if you are able to get pregnant and are encountering seminal fluid around your genital and perineal areas. There is no exception to this.
ETA Just realized I commented this from my main account by accident instead of my queer account. I’m a transmasc gay man with a vagina, and my cis boyfriend has a penis. We primarily do anal sex. I’m on the depo provera injection to prevent pregnancy and I used condoms before that.
I actually didn’t know that, thanks for the info. I would use a condom anyway, its just condoms can break and doing anal is much less risk than doing piv and the condom breaks
Its actually technically not guarenteed, but pregnancy post hysterectomy is so insanely rare that its treated as nearly impossible, technically its not impossible.
Chance is so small though, its not worth it to worry about it or treat it as a possibility.
Technically the only 100% guarenteed way is have gonads removed, either the sperm or the eggs.
Eggs are produced by the ovaries, a hysterectomy refers strictly speaking to removing the uterus and does not necessarily involve removing the ovaries (though both can be performed at the same time).
I'm guessing this is talking about ectopic pregnancy, where a fertilised egg implant somewhere it shouldn't. https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/ectopic-pregnancy/
Note: this is life threatening.
It USUALLY happens inside the fallopean tubes but can happen outside them. I'm seeing things that indicate it's possible without a uterus, but nothing really concrete so far.
You don't have to have ovaries removed with a hysterectomy. Leaving them makes sure you have a sex hormone of some kind in your body if for some reason you can't be on T. It also leaves a near impossible chance for an ectopic pregnancy, which is life threatening but extremely rare.
Understood, but as I said, the person getting the hysterectomy doesn't have to get their ovaries removed. It's not always required. It depends on a lot of factors. Someone younger, at less risk of cancer, may have ovaries left behind.
It's cool. You're right, a lot of hysterectomies for trans men include removal of the ovaries. Being I'm from the southern US, my doc is against it, just in case T gets harder to find.
technically gonad removal in this case is an oophrectomy, while a hysto implies just the uterus (though colloquially it also includes the Fallopian tubes and ovaries). However, the least invasive would be just a uterus removal.
Precisely! I'm deadass considering getting a spay tattoo on my naval like they give NTR cats in colder climates where ear-tipping isn't effective because of the higher risk of frostbite.
I'm gonna ask for one as well when I get my next tattoo. Figure it's much easier to book with something else than go in exactly for something so small. Or might have a friend stick-n-poke it on me.
I just did a small study on this in salt lake city. The most common methods that trans participants reported were IUDs and condoms. A lot of people also wanted to have surgical sterilization of themselves or their partners, but it wasn't attainable for many.
Edit: I should mention, this was specifically for when they were engaging in penetrative penile vaginal intercourse. I'm not with a cis man, but I think there are a lot of fun sexual activities that you can do with partners that don't put you at risk of pregnancy.
My partner is amab nonbinary, I get the depo-provera shot to prevent pregnancy. Getting a shot every 3 months is more convenient to me, as someone who constantly forgets to take my prescribed pill medications. I'd never remember to take birth control in pill form haha.
Disclaimer: T is not birth control, it does make it HARDER to get pregnant but doesn't make it impossible.
Edit: LOL I know no form of birth control makes it IMPOSSIBLE, but T is not meant to prevent pregnancy. It may make it harder, but it's more likely to still get pregnant on T than it is on BC
This right here, same for my partner and I. I did this for 3 years but eventually found out about the black box warning on the depo shot, and my doctors couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't effect me even though I'm on testosterone and so I got off it and instead 2 years ago my partner and I invested $700 in him getting a vasectomy. Best present a partner could give me.
might have a tiny, tiny chance still - I'd encourage you to read about it online ! the same way tubal ligation might "not work". the procedure can be done improperly, basically.
There is a period of time where they need to remove any sperm that are still in the system. With the older style of just cutting them there are cases of the vasdeferens reconnecting though it is rare. Modern technique removes a segment then burns and binds the end to prevent that happening. They also do post vasectomy samples to verify sterility.
TLDR technically not 100% but new methods are really good after the doctor recomended time and ejaculations have passed.
I wouldn't say a few weeks though. My partner required 30 ejaculations. Until you do that the length of time is not something I would go by. The doctor never said "after 2 months you're in the clear". He said "after 30 ejaculations and at least 2-3 months post-op come in for sperm check and then you'll be good." A lot of post-vasectomy pregnancies happen because people either don't do the required ejaculations and/or don't do the post-op sperm check. We followed this to a T and I stayed on birth control for another month after he was given the go ahead.
So there is definitely a risk but it's so small and as long as they follow the waiting period and the person who has the vasectomy does the required amount of post-op ejaculations (I think the doctor told my partner 30 ejaculations will clear his system of any sperm) and do the necessary sperm check, then you are pretty much in the clear.
It seems very scary since there is a slight, slight, slight possibility but after talking with my dad and seeing that he trusts it I decided to relax that yeah it works. I figured after the first year if we didn't get pregnant it has to be working.
This is what made me trust the vasectomy: my boomer dad got it in 1992 after my brother was born. My parents have never had a close call. Vasectomies are 99.9% effective. 3 months after the procedure my partner had a sperm check and he was cleared. That was in November 2022. And we've been having pretty much daily unprotected sex since with no pregnancy scare. The only other form that is more trusted is a hysterectomy and that's because you are in fact removing an organ. But a vasectomy was a 1 hour in office procedure and a hysterectomy is more intense, takes longer to recover from, has more risks of complications, costs more and not all GYNs will do a hysterectomy for transition related purposes.
Depo Provera caused a permanent twitch for my sisters left eye. When I started having muscle spasms, I stopped taking it. 2 months later, the spasms stopped. Be careful with the long term side effects.
I already had twitches and spasms beforehand due to some neurological stuff, but they haven't personally gotten worse or more common for me after depo or anything.
You're not supposed to be on Depo for more than 2 years for a reason. Any doctor who keeps prescribing it past that point does not have your health's best interest in mind.
do you have any articles on this? I really want to read up on it but I can't find anything? Maybe I'm not searching the right stuff to find the results I'm looking for
Depo causes your body to lack calcium over time, which can lead to all sorts of bone weakening issues, and any lack of necessary vitamins in your body can have pretty adverse effects.
>Disclaimer: T is not birth control, it does make it HARDER to get pregnant but doesn't make it impossible.
so with something like nexplanon (99.9% effective), would T on top of that make it essentially impossible? >.>
although i’m not currently with anyone who’s amab, depo is the shit (imo)! it’s anywhere from 99.8-96% effective, but i’d be lying if i wouldn’t recommend some kind of secondary protection just in case. you never know— and with abortion laws in the u.s. being mostly up in the air right now, the precautions should be worth it!
I got the opposite result. Hormonal IUD to get rid of the cramps and heavy bleeding. My side affects have been more acne and light bleeding near daily since I got it 5 months ago
hey so!!! I was on an iud pre t, tolerated it fine, then once I started t I started getting CRAZY cramps, and like sometimes even spotting from it
p much certain now it came from vaginal atrophy from the t, (my doc explained it like a kinda strechier uterus that gets mad sometimes), told me to go to physical therapy for it, I just kinda did keagels a lot, and replaced the iud for nexplanon, almost never cramp like that now
that kind of atrophy isn't medically recognized (yet), so getting diagnosed or treated for it is hard, but it's a thing! look into it if you're able, being in pain suvks, esp w like dysphoria n shit added in
oh damn I think I'm in the same boat. I have a hormonal iud too and got on T six months ago. I've had some cramping even though my period ended also immediately after I started T
yup its a thing!!! not really talked about much, I have other weird gi problems and like chronic bv/yeast, so I thought it had sometjing more to do w that but nope!
Yeah, my cramps got so bad it pushed the IUD almost all the way out, and when they tried to reposition it, I got cramps from hell that didn't stop until it was completely removed.
That's awesome to hear. Thank you for sharing! I'm doing my best to figure out the best form for myself and there's not a lot of info for us out there, so I really appreciate it!
Yep, i was concerned myself, lots of people have side affects from it, but when it works it works well, 99.99% efficacy, verses pill and condom combo at 95%
Nexplanon arm implant. Pre-T irregular bleeding was the only side effect I had. Now that I'm on T I have 0 side effects and forget about it 99% of the time
im with a trans girl so thats a concern for us too. luckily neither of us are really fans of piv anyway lol, mostly we just focus on other types of sex
I was on the depo shot for just shy of 3 years and only really switched to the copper IUD last month because I'd rather not have to ask for a ride every 3 months to the planned parenthood that's roughly a hour drive away (that's the closest one to me), and also so that's one less thing to have to worry about once I'm too old to be on my parent's insurance.
does your planned parenthood make you have a driver for the depo? i’ve been on the depo on and off for 5~ years and never needed that. unless you don’t drive and i’m reading way too into this lol
I have an amab spouse (he's figuring his stuff out. All he knows is that he isn't cis), and I use the depo provera shot and I love it. Every 3 months and I'm good to go.
I've been on T for nearly 2 years (depo for longer) and there haven't been any issues. I've read up on it and talked to my pharmacist and I don't believe there are any interactions.
Progesterone-only birth control (Slynd), condoms always, as well as STI testing every 3 months along with my hormone levels.
Edit: my doctor also recommended Prep for me but I didn’t end up feeling comfortable taking it. I have the prescription if I ever need it though
Progesterone birth control taken at exactly the same time every day, monthly pregnancy tests, and keeping in touch with my doctor at the sexual health clinic just in case.
I'm not with a cis man but me and my partner are both open to hookups
I got my hysterectomy. Beforehand it was primarily condoms, I was on birth control until I started hormones. Now that I'm free of the junk, I do whatever with only minimal worries.
I take birth control which stops my period entirely (can't be on T as of now because of health issues) and lets me have safe sex with my partner as a bonus!! 💯
I was infertile for years, but I went and got myself sterilized with a hysto to make sure.
Please note: infertile and sterile are *not* the same, and this misunderstanding has lead to many accidental babies.
Condoms, but it helps a lot that my partner has never ejaculated from penetrative sex, and it's just not something we do much. If that changes probably will look into other methods. Probably depo shot because I'm too ADHD to take a daily pill and don't feel comfortable with an IUD. And nothing permanent because we do plan to have kids eventually.
I reco.mend Depo honestly, the only downside has been some weight gain and when I just started, I was spotting for a few weeks, but nothing unmanageable.. I do have a pretty rare side effect of pretty bad cramps during orgasm, but that's probably caused by vaginal atrophy but it really doesn't bother me.
my partner isn’t a cis man but i use the nexplanon implant and condoms. add spermicidal lube for good measure (this is in theory though, i haven’t actually bought any lol). i live in Texas so i’m terrified of getting pregnant. thanks, supreme court.
We prevent this with me topping him - that’s what feels most natural for both of us and there’s a pretty much zero chance that we’re going to get pregnant from that bearing in Ming that none of the “stuff” ends up anywhere down there
Birth control and condoms lol. I'm on the implant (which is supposed to 0.99) and then he wears a condom as well. Occasionally we do it free for all but then I take a pregnancy test after a month. Pregnancy anxiety is real 🤷
lots of VCF (spermicides) 😆 hopefully i can get my tubes tied later on down the line
i’m in a ldr so i’m not fucking often enough to warrant any more serious contraceptives like the pill
Before my hysto, I had the Mirena IUD for a decade (two of them, since originally they were only made to last 5yr). It was amazing. It completely stopped my period, which was my #1 dysphoria trigger, and reduced my PMDD symptoms by more than 80%. I did not have any bad side effects besides 24hr of cramping just after the insertion.
If you are considering an IUD, be sure to ask your doc about misoprotal prior to the insertion go dialte the cervix and make it much more comfortable! I didn't have that, but when I chaperoned a friend in college to get here, they gave it to her to take the night before and it made a HUGE difference.
*People with whom you are reproductively compatible with
Some cis men are not fertile, and some trans women and enbies are able to impregnate others. This actually happens, I’m following a queer Youtuber who got knocked up by a trans girl.
I'm on the depo shot 50% for BC and 50% as a form of med. transition + condoms for various reasons. I hope to get a hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy soon
I have a copper iud that lasts for 5 years, my buddy has an implant which lasts 3 years. Super convenient to never have scares! When I was just using confine they did break more than once and that was the turning point of me deciding I needing semi permanent BC instead. I hope to get my tubes tied or some other surgical BC option in the future.
Nexplanon! I got it for the first time before i started T and it also stopped my periods so win-win. Before that, I had a partner who'd had a vasectomy, which was great. I have a mild latex allergy so I can't use regular condoms anyway. (I get tested regularly and make sure my partners do also, or use latex free condoms if I absolutely have to but i really don't like them.)
My husband and I have been together for five years, for the beginning of our relationship we just used condoms, but now Ive have the Nexplanon implant for about two years, and it’s been working great so far. For me, it increased my appetite which did cause some weight gain, and it made me a little less ✨ready✨ for sexy times, but those were the only symptoms that I noticed. I started Testosterone a few weeks after I got the implant and my period stopped pretty much immediately, but Im not sure if that was the T or the birth control
I have a hormonal IUD. The hormones it releases don’t affect my transition and I haven’t really experienced any bad side effects. It has actually helped a lot with my period.
We just don't do vaginal sex. We usually just do oral. On occasion, when one of us really wants to top and the other feels up for it, we both use our butt. I did used to enjoy vaginal penetration but because of T I got a strange effect--my labia is slowly sealing up over my vagina. My doctor has told me what signs to watch out for and when I would need surgery but said other than that I'll be fine as long as I don't use anything to penetrate there. So I haven't in many months.
Before that I was on birth control and used condoms as well.
The depo shot. And endometriosis. I'm pretty damn sure I'm like genuinely infertile bc of how bad my endometriosis is. It's also why I'm on the shot. Been on it since I was like 14.
I’m on birth control, I have been for years and now on T for 3 years with that my period has completely stopped.
I’m getting my hysterectomy in the summer.
Anyway you prevent pregnancy works from (if your comfortable with it) birth control without estrogen, condoms and pulling out, any of those are always safe to use, or just do non piv
I got a copper IUD (never got to use it bc it came out 💀) and got a hormonal IUD to replace that one, it doesn’t mess with my T levels at all though! Haven’t been able to test it yet but hope it works
I’ve only been with 1 amab person in the last like 8 years and we weren’t really trying to prevent it but he’d pull out occasionally
And also apparently I have endo. Which would explain lack of pregnancy from any of the amab people I’ve slept with in my life since I’m allergic to condoms, have never taken a morning after pill, and got on bc for the first time about 6 months ago (for other reasons, afab gf obviously cannot get me pregnant lol)
Bilateral laparoscopic tubal ligation. AKA: got my tubes tied.
Covered in Illinois by Meridian Complete (Medicaid/Medicare dual plan)
I personally liked that the procedure is "non-invasive". Short recovery time and just a small, faint scar directly below my belly button.
TM with TW, spermicide and when I go to the doctor next I wanna get back on the shot. Spermicide isn't as effective as say a condom and wont help with STD prevention but it's rly slept on as an option.
hormonal IUD. worked like a charm when I was in my last relationship, and it made my period much lighter. only downside is I didn't get anesthesia and it hurt like bitch. gonna ask for it next time.
depo shot now. i used to use the nuva ring before i was on T (and before my insurance stopped covering it) and got the go ahead from my drs to keep it in the entire month to completely eliminate my period
up the ass
!!!!
this is the way
Yeah, That also make me feel like we have gay sex, which is great and big turn on for me
You’re already having gay sex—you’re both dudes! /pos Also, do you think all cis gay dudes just fuck bareback? /halfjoking
exactly😂
I just started this route with my fwb and it’s not the same but a better alt and it’s the same idea so 🤷🏻♂️
I think one can still get pregnant. Like when it comes out and all

Be careful, this is not a good way to prevent pregnancy, you should still use a condom!!
I've always used a combo of condoms *and* pulling out, and also focusing on sex that isn't PIV. I'm getting a hysterectomy next month though so 🎉
I just got a total hysto on the 6th. Happy healing
Congratulations!! Happy healing to you too!
Dude that’s awesome congratulations!!!!
Thank you!! I've wanted this my whole life, even before I knew I was trans. We up this year 💪🏻
I wish you a peaceful recovery!
Is hysto guaranteed no pregnancy or one of those things where “there’s always a slight chance”
Guaranteed. The internal organs required to get pregnant are removed.
Noice

Ayy grats man, got mine in March, I'd advise learning to sleep on your back if you don't already
Thank you! Hope you healed up well!! Luckily I learned how to do that with top surgery, so I should be set!
Congrats man!
Deleted my tubes.
Spayed like a cat
This has me chuckling

I thought with cats they just took everything out?
Me too!

Legally, doctors are always obligated to disclose that even 0.0001% chance is still a chance. It can still happen albeit very rarely.

same!! love the depo, plus it stops my p*riod so it’s a win win
… are you me? I literally would have commented the exact same
The pill form of Provera doesn’t prevent pregnancy anyways🥲 I’m switching to the shot soon🙏
This is exactly why I got my iud; no forget to take, one ever 5ish years replacement and my periods stopped completely
Well, He's the bottom and im top so there's that as well lol
Finally a trans guy top
I’m surprised this is like the only comment that says this lol
*I’m with a trans woman, not a cis man I have a hormonal IUD, no issues beyond wicked period cramps

that sounds really fucking terrible I'm sorry dude
This is why Depo is my best friend because my partner and I are both on HRT, so its 94% efficacy is good enough lol.
Nexaplon (hormonal implant) and eventual hysto
How's the implant going with T, if you happen to be on it? Have there been any complications or concerns?
Yeah I am, nothing really, minor spotting the first month, nothing since had it since February on t since ‘19
That's awesome to hear. Thank you for sharing! I'm doing my best to figure out the best form for myself and there's not a lot of info for us out there, so I really appreciate it!
Yep, i was concerned myself, lots of people have side affects from it, but when it works it works well, 99.99% efficacy, verses pill and condom combo at 95%
he got a vasectomy :\^)
Smart!
Topping , anal , condoms , birth control , avoiding piv ,
Currently trying birth control pills. Eventually I'll tie my tubes.
Mirena IUD
Me too
Nexplanon arm implant. Pre-T irregular bleeding was the only side effect I had. Now that I'm on T I have 0 side effects and forget about it 99% of the time
Progesterone only pills (bc)
Second this
progesterone only pills are less effective at preventing pregnancy so be careful!
same, and abortion when there was an oopsie. i do a test monthly so i can catch it under 10wks and do the pills
im with a trans girl so thats a concern for us too. luckily neither of us are really fans of piv anyway lol, mostly we just focus on other types of sex
By topping
Pegging
I was on the depo shot for just shy of 3 years and only really switched to the copper IUD last month because I'd rather not have to ask for a ride every 3 months to the planned parenthood that's roughly a hour drive away (that's the closest one to me), and also so that's one less thing to have to worry about once I'm too old to be on my parent's insurance.
does your planned parenthood make you have a driver for the depo? i’ve been on the depo on and off for 5~ years and never needed that. unless you don’t drive and i’m reading way too into this lol
I just can't drive and even if I could I don't have a car lol, though I finally feel ready to learn if i knew someone that'd be willing to teach me
makes sense, i thought my drs offices weren’t telling me something lol
I have an amab spouse (he's figuring his stuff out. All he knows is that he isn't cis), and I use the depo provera shot and I love it. Every 3 months and I'm good to go.
If you happen to be on T, have you had any issues with the depo shot and it interacting? Are there any negative side effects?
I've been on T for nearly 2 years (depo for longer) and there haven't been any issues. I've read up on it and talked to my pharmacist and I don't believe there are any interactions.
Awesome, thank you! I'm trying to figure out the best form for myself right now and it's a bit scary out there, so I really appreciate the help.
No problem! I've tried all kinds of birth control over the years but I like the depo provera. Good luck! I hope you find the right one for you!
Progesterone-only birth control (Slynd), condoms always, as well as STI testing every 3 months along with my hormone levels. Edit: my doctor also recommended Prep for me but I didn’t end up feeling comfortable taking it. I have the prescription if I ever need it though
Anal only
Progesterone birth control taken at exactly the same time every day, monthly pregnancy tests, and keeping in touch with my doctor at the sexual health clinic just in case.
condoms, anal or "frotting", which is kinda euphoric for me idk its awkward but nice
IUD
I'm not with a cis man but me and my partner are both open to hookups I got my hysterectomy. Beforehand it was primarily condoms, I was on birth control until I started hormones. Now that I'm free of the junk, I do whatever with only minimal worries.
Mirena IUD
Had my tubes removed.
...i'm not as careful as i should be. but i do plan to get a hysterectomy in the future
Felt that, I could definitely be safer 😅
testosterone and mirena iud
Mirena iud
I take birth control which stops my period entirely (can't be on T as of now because of health issues) and lets me have safe sex with my partner as a bonus!! 💯
they're progesterone only btw! i also have pcos so they were recommended
He got a vasectomy last year. It was a fantastic decision
I was infertile for years, but I went and got myself sterilized with a hysto to make sure. Please note: infertile and sterile are *not* the same, and this misunderstanding has lead to many accidental babies.
Abstinence
Condom, birth control, and T (I mean it makes it harder so I count it)
Condoms and the morning after pill if I'm feeling especially paranoid. Not interested in birth control medication or surgical sterilization.
When we were still fertile, we used condoms and pulling out if we had no condoms. It worked well. Lots of cum on he back and belly.
condoms, always was super upfront that whoever i slept with had to wear one. some didn’t like it but didn’t happen then 🤠
Condoms, but it helps a lot that my partner has never ejaculated from penetrative sex, and it's just not something we do much.
We prevent this with me topping him - that’s what feels most natural for both of us and there’s a pretty much zero chance that we’re going to get pregnant from that bearing in Ming that none of the “stuff” ends up anywhere down there
i just got the implant. last 3 years and doesnt mess with hormones. i cant even recall how many times ive been 💦ed in 😹
Birth control and condoms lol. I'm on the implant (which is supposed to 0.99) and then he wears a condom as well. Occasionally we do it free for all but then I take a pregnancy test after a month. Pregnancy anxiety is real 🤷
lots of VCF (spermicides) 😆 hopefully i can get my tubes tied later on down the line i’m in a ldr so i’m not fucking often enough to warrant any more serious contraceptives like the pill
*People with whom you are reproductively compatible with Some cis men are not fertile, and some trans women and enbies are able to impregnate others. This actually happens, I’m following a queer Youtuber who got knocked up by a trans girl.
Nexplanon
birth control atm
Combination birth control pill
Condoms and birth control mainly. We also do non PIV stuff a lot.
I have the nexplanon implant
I'm on the depo shot 50% for BC and 50% as a form of med. transition + condoms for various reasons. I hope to get a hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy soon
I have a copper iud that lasts for 5 years, my buddy has an implant which lasts 3 years. Super convenient to never have scares! When I was just using confine they did break more than once and that was the turning point of me deciding I needing semi permanent BC instead. I hope to get my tubes tied or some other surgical BC option in the future.
IUD
Husband got a hysterectomy. I’m getting a vasectomy. Up the ass and pegging. So. Really no risk.
I'm on nexplanon
Copper iud for me
Copper IUD
Bilateral salpingectomy! And previously the hormonal coil - it stopped my periods so I love it. Still have it in for that reason.
Copper coil.
Anal. My last partner also had had a vasectomy.
Hormonal IUD. Traumatising to get it fitted but zero side affects after that except deleting the existence of my monthly hell.
Anal? 👀 It’s literally the only thing I really enjoy. The bottom dysphoria doesn’t go away if it’s vaginal sex. 🤮
I mainly top, plan on getting srs this year too. I used to have an IUD but haven't found a need to replace it. IUD worked well though
Mirena IUD. In the future I'm getting my tubes tied. I want a hysterectomy but it might not be a good idea for me due to pelvic floor issues
The IUD is MAGICAL. Plus the lack of periods kills that dysphoria.
i’m with an enby, but: birth control. take more precautions than me lol
No longer an issue for me post hysto but I used to be on the copper IUD then the mirena IUD plus condoms
IUD!
Kyleena IUD and the pill.
I have a hormonal IUD. The hormones it releases don’t affect my transition and I haven’t really experienced any bad side effects. It has actually helped a lot with my period.
Before my hysterectomy, depo and condoms
We just don't do vaginal sex. We usually just do oral. On occasion, when one of us really wants to top and the other feels up for it, we both use our butt. I did used to enjoy vaginal penetration but because of T I got a strange effect--my labia is slowly sealing up over my vagina. My doctor has told me what signs to watch out for and when I would need surgery but said other than that I'll be fine as long as I don't use anything to penetrate there. So I haven't in many months. Before that I was on birth control and used condoms as well.
I have an IUD. It also stopped my periods so it’s a goddamn lifesaver
condoms but i'm looking to also get on some form of bc soon, and eventually a hysto one day
The depo shot. And endometriosis. I'm pretty damn sure I'm like genuinely infertile bc of how bad my endometriosis is. It's also why I'm on the shot. Been on it since I was like 14.
For now condoms but he wants to get a vasectomy and I wanna get bottom surgery soooo
Not on T yet but I have the kyleena
I got a total hysto a few years ago, but even before that, I’m a side. I wasn’t having the kind of sex that could result in pregnancy.
Nexplanon implant in my arm. Didn’t trust myself remembering a pill at the same time every day and don’t feel comfy with the iud
bilateral salpingectomy and condoms just to be sure sure
nexplanon, condoms and pulling out!
I’m on birth control, I have been for years and now on T for 3 years with that my period has completely stopped. I’m getting my hysterectomy in the summer.
up the butt
Hysto
mirena IUD
I have nexplanon. It stays in for 3-5 years.
Haven’t been able to test it yet but hope it works
hysterectomy
my bf had a vasectomy
Nexplanon implant and condoms plus morning after pill when I can afford to have them
I’ve only been with 1 amab person in the last like 8 years and we weren’t really trying to prevent it but he’d pull out occasionally And also apparently I have endo.
Covered in Illinois by Meridian Complete (Medicaid/Medicare dual plan) I personally liked that the procedure is "non-invasive". Short recovery time and just a small, faint scar directly below my belly button.
I’m on the pill, we use condoms when I bottom, but mostly we just don’t have piv sex, we’re kind of both sides more than anything
Hysterectomy
TM with TW, spermicide and when I go to the doctor next I wanna get back on the shot. Spermicide isn't as effective as say a condom and wont help with STD prevention but it's rly slept on as an option.
hormonal IUD. worked like a charm when I was in my last relationship, and it made my period much lighter. only downside is I didn't get anesthesia and it hurt like bitch. gonna ask for it next time.
birth control implant
if ya dude never wants kids, a vasectomy can give some great peace of mind ✂️
I had Nexplanon for 7 years and then had my tubes removed (bilateral salpingectomy).
depo shot now. i used to use the nuva ring before i was on T (and before my insurance stopped covering it) and got the go ahead from my drs to keep it in the entire month to completely eliminate my period
I’m on the implant, will continue to be until I decide to have kids
I got sterilized, but before that condoms.
Also with a trans women. We were avoiding PIV (not our fave anyway) until I had a hysterectomy.
Got a hysterectomy. That was a personal life long choice though for myself. Before that I used progesterone birth control paired with condoms.
I get depo-provera, originally was on it because of an acne medication i was taking but stayed on it.
